The State of Tennessee
Andrew S. Hickory //////////////////////////////// At first Andrew had just been strumming out a few half-hearted tunes to ease his boredom, but as he started paying less and less attention to the world around him outside of his guitar the more melodies he began to string together. The notes and rhythms he strung together on a whim became increasingly complex and complicated as Nashville's music filled the air. Music City, U.S.A. was coming to life beneath his fingertips as the state put his heart and passion into the vibrant mixture of blues, country, soul and even a little rock and roll crept in there every now and then. Without realizing it, Tennessee was practically strumming up an entire concert as he played the music which defined so much of his culture. Andrew was almost like a different person when he was in his musician mode. He was passionate and able to channel whatever he was playing through his entire body. The state's expressions and movements were all connected to the song which filled his heart and the air around him. //////////////////////////////// Grade 9

Freshman Soon as the Carolina finished her massive text she received a response from Alfred asking when and where. For a second she gave a small frown. 'Ya know, that is a good question.' She figured they could have it either at her dorm or Tennessee's and Georgia's but now he dorm was a bit messy and things have gotten awkward between her family and her roommates. Charlotte closed her eyes, letting the guitar music carry her thoughts for a bit. It reminded her a bit of home. (Out of Pepsi:)

"yall" is a proper noun,
sweet tea is the house wine,
and you never EVER disrespect your elders...

Where I come from  Christian smiled brightly, grinning from ear to ear once more, as she figured out who he was. "Yes ma'am. One a' the original thirteen Americans. Well, Fourteen if ya count Alfred among the thirteen colonies." He accepted Maureen's hand and happily shook it, making sure not to be rough since, no matter how strong she was, she was a lady and he was a gentleman. "The feelings are likewise. An' I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable callin' ya Miss. It's sort of an old habit that comes back ta bite me once in a while. S'pose I could have worse habits than mindin' my manners, though." He gave a light chuckle, showing he really hadn't meant any insult by having called her Miss so much.
He could hear Tennessee in the not-so-distance playing that lovely guitar of his. Boy, Memphis was sounding beautiful today, as it usually did. The beautiful melody caused Atlanta* to race, giving Georgia a warm feeling all over. A part of him wanted to race over to where Andrew was and contribute to the music by either making up lyrics to the song his brother was singing as they normally did or adding some percussion to his strings by finding some sticks to use as drumsticks as he went to town on something metallic. However, to leave would be rude. Especially since he was trying to make a new friend.
Out Of Coke :: *His heart. don't want people to assume his capital is, uh, something it's not. wink There aren't too many rules when you come here.

Freshman There was just something about her brother's music that made the state to bring out a banjo, a fiddle, or just to sing. While mesmorized Charlotte almost forgot about America's text. She scanned the area and found Christian talking to the Ireland girl that she passed by earlier. She didn't want to disturb them but need to ask him something before it became last minute. Seeing as Andrew intuned to his music, the Carolina went ahead over to the two. "Sorry to inturpt, but I have a question for ya bro." she said causually, leaving off the formalities towards her family. "About tonight's dinner, since the incedent with my dorm. I was wondering if it would be alright to have it yours and Andrew's place." She glanced over to the red head, it was probably rude to talk about having get-togethers in front of someone who probably hasn't been invited. "And if you want you could invite your friend here to join us." she smiled politely at the nation. More the merrier, right? "Where are my manners, I don't believe I've introduced myself yet. I'm North Carolina, but call me Charlotte." she offered her hand in greeting. (Out of Pepsi:)

R a i v i s G a l a n t eFreshmen  Raivis stayed on the swings watching everyone, mostly Leilani, he got a bit concerned when it seemed like she was going to fly off she seemed fine though. He then saw some more states enter the park, he could tell Leilani wanted to go over and say she was sorry about earlier but she was getting occupied by kids.
So Raivis went over to them, "hey Leilani, you brother is here," he said simply not wanting to ruin there fun.

xxx﹙And If I had one wish come true ﹚  Still riding on the seesaw with a girl who was a bit younger than her, laughing lightly, Hawaii then looked over as she saw Latvia approaching her. "...that's the boy I was talking about." She whispered quickly to the girl before he was close as the other girl looked him over and nodded quickly, giggling to herself. Apparently she had just gotten approval by a total stranger. But as she stopped and got off of the seesaw, the other girl walking away to talk to her mother for a moment, allowing them some time alone. But when he spoke and said that her brother was there, Leilani couldn't help but sigh lightly and rub the back of her neck, looking back down to the sand. "I know he's here, I saw him coming so that's why I walked away from the swings. I'm sorry for leaving you, I just didn't know what to do." At that moment, she looked passed Raivis for a moment at Tennessee, seeing that he was playing his guitar now. "I don't think I can face him yet. I'm still too ashamed about how I acted, maybe...we need some time to just let things cool off before we can talk again?" He said, he was still scared of TN....he didn't like the looks he got from the state. "It's better you just get it over with" he said .

The State of Tennessee
Andrew S. Hickory //////////////////////////////// Tennessee was lost in his own world of music and sound. He didn't even notice his sister leave him nor did he pay any attention to the small audience he had gathered. It was only once his song reached what felt like a natural ending point that he blinked and took in his surroundings. The state blushed softly as a few of the onlookers clapped and some tried to offer him money thinking he was a street performer. "N-No, thank you... I'm just playin' 'cause I wanna..." Andrew muttered politely as he waved off their generosity. He looked around and spotted North Carolina had ventured away to talk with Christian and his new friend, leaving him alone by the pole aside from his new fans. The state's eyes ghosted across the area to see if anyone else had shown up when they finally fell upon Hawaii talking with Raivis. There was no way she hadn't seen him, right? She must still be mad and avoiding him. Tennessee couldn't help the ache of guilt in his heart while he started to pluck out a more familiar tune that better reflected the shift in his mood. The state closed his eyes while he played out the regret in his heart for how he had ruined their budding friendship in his moment of anger. //////////////////////////////// Grade 9

Where I come fromChristian heard his sister come over and turned to smile to her. He listened to what it was she had to say about dinner. Without a moment of thought he smiled brightly. "Course you can! It's Andy and I's fault y'all's dorm was trashed any ways. 'Sides, I'm not too sure how comfortable the atmosphere would be if..." He didn't need to finish that statement. Not for his sister. She could probably figure to that he was thinking about what might happen if Belarus came around during dinner, especially since she had made the Belorussian cry earlier...
He heard Maureen's comment about all of the states and smiled to her. "Well, of course there's a lot of us. There's 50 states, Alfred, and then a couple of small countries we sponsor. Just imagine how crowded this park would be if we were all here." he said this statement, giving off a small wink. In all seriousness, though, the park would indeed be busy if all of the states were here along with Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and all the other smaller territories.
Christian thought for a moment before smiling apologetically to both the girls. "I should probably go grocery shopping soon. After all, I used up all of our breakfast supplies making breakfast today... Hey Char, could you let Leilani know where I went off to? I don't want her thinking I abandoned her, especially since our little sis has been feelin' a little... Left out lately." he smiled lightly, hoping his older sister would understand and perhaps let Leilani know Christian really did need to run to the store. besides, there was also cleaning and dish washing to be done from the apocalypse that was this morning's meal.

xxx﹙And If I had one wish come true ﹚ When Raivis took her hand into his own, she looked down at their now joined hands, an almost puzzled expression gracing her features. But as she noted that he was just trying to help her feel better, she gave his hand a reassuring squeeze and a small smile joined it soon after. "Thank you Raivis." She whispered gently as she reached forward and hugged him to her quickly, taking this moment to clear her head. But as she let go of the nation, she blinked slowly hearing a few chords of a song that she remembered from a song that was buried in her past. She couldn't quite place the exact memory on it, but all she could remember was that it was a sad one and it held a lot of meaning for her. Letting go of Raivis' hand she then stood before him, staring at Andrew, who was the preformer of this beautiful music. "Couldn't stand being kept away...just for the day." She whispered in accordance to the strumming of the guitar. But realizing that she was still next to Latvia she flashed him another quick smile. "I'll be right back, I promise." She said to him before she walked casually over to Tennessee, still nervous about how she was going to approach him and somehow strike up a conversation with him. She had noted that he had gained a bit of a crowd around him, especially as he played this song. Her eyes had gotten watery the more she listened to his beautiful music as she made her way through the crowd before stopping in front of him, a closed hand over her heart as she blushed a bit out of nervousness. "After all that we've been through, I will make it up to you. I promise to. And after all that's been said and done, you're just the part of me that I can't let go..." She sang softly along with the music. She wasn't a great singer by any respect, but the song touched her so much that she just couldn't help it. （HawaiianRollarcoasterRide - . . .）
