Moving away from Xiu a bit to give the girl some room Mitsu nodded to Shun's instruction. She would probably stay back like the baku. Looking around she tried to find something to throw.....there was...a stuffed bear. Picking it up she wasn't sure what kind of damage it would do but it was worth a shot. The bright flowery monstrosity was burning its very essence into her mind through her nose.
Drawing back the bear Mitsu threw it at the plant hoping it would at least do something. It not she would find something else to throw.

Her hands alone didn't make as much progress as she would have liked. The grombie searched around the room, wincing at all the bright colors. And all this time she was worried that people might not like her ego gave a sigh of relief.
Part of her was deathly curious as to who, or what, that disembodied voice was. She hadn't heard it before, but going by the looks of others it hadn't been the first time.
She continued work with her hands, looking around to see if any of the picture frames had snapped to use the wood shards to pluck away.

Damien would al least take solace that the vines weren't pink, sure it was a bright shade of green that almost made his eyes look dark.
Almost
But it still was not pink, and he breathed a sigh of relief from that.
The rumbling that occured behind him caught his attention as it felt like it was not only getting faster. It was getting closer. "Oh Jack, I hope that rumblings not from another brightly colored bear!." he moaned out, remembering the recent bear tipping they all went through.
Looking over at the others in the group, he quipped up and tried to ive a bit of direction, maybe feeling smug from getting a solid hit off the vines with their flowers and smearing glitter all over the foliage.
HA. eat glitter plant!
"Everyone, concentrate your attacks on the same spot if you can!." he howled out before giving another kick, this time towards one of the flowers that was so bright, it practically had "Kick me" written all over it.

Well, the vines hadn't done anything, so she figured it would be safe to approach them. Watching Shun and Poke run up to attack the vine, Xiu decided staying back for now would be a better idea. She definitely wasn't much of a fighter, but she wanted to help get the path unblocked.
So, she picked up whatever the heck she could find (and promptly shuddered when a bit of glitter stuck to her hand) and gave it a chuck.

Regardless of weather anyone else was a fighter or not, Poke believed that she was. A good one? She liked to think she was. She stood back though, noting that her punch hadn't done very much damage. Annoyed, she began to hammer at the vine again with as many punches as she could throw out at once, every so often glancing around at everyone else there encase they needed help.
She was momentary surprised though at Mitsu's choice of weapon. Well, if it works...

After his initial attack, Shun glanced back to see that Xiu and Mitsu were both attacking from a distance while Cuinn had come up with him to strike close up. He supposed this could be for the better, in the case there was something right behind these vines that could be dangerous.
"Xiu. Mitsu. Keep an eye on our backs. Who knows when those things will be arriving," he said tersely while continuing to hack away at the vines with his daggers.
As much as he preferred to work alone, he showed that he could work in a sort of team-like environment.

When the giant vine appeared, Zeke completely forgot about his glitter problem and it was obvious to him if no one can pass the vine, neither can HE. He had to help the other students vanquish this vine before it gets worse.
"Dear JACK! That smell is horrendous!" Zeke shouted. The smell was overwhelming, and he was starting to feel sick. Pounding headache with a bad feeling in his gut, like he was ready to vomit. "Bloody Mary, I do NOT feel good..."
Out of nowhere, Zeke couldn't help his cowboil instincts kicking in, he adjusted his hat down and automatically lunged at the vine. The next thing he knew, he was already trying to wrestle with it.

(Sorry about that guys... long day.)
Tsubaki just smiled a little and nodded her head politely in turn as the others introduced themselves as well, feeling somewhat relieved to see that there were others here from the Open House as well. Though at the same time surprised that she even recognized anyone since she hadn't been very active. "It is a pleasure to see you again Edel. Seeing someone else here from the Open House is quite nice, despite the fact that we were unable to talk much before hand." Being a creature of the ice and cold as well, it made her feel a little more at ease to have someone of a similar disposition around, even though in reality the over all atmosphere was quite relaxed and enjoyable. Well... almost.
As they continued on down the hallway, it became obvious that the larger traps weren't the only things to be watching out for, glancing up ahead when Ulmuka ran ahead to meet up with another group. It surprised her a bit to see one of them pinned under a rather large bear plushie, giving a few nervous looks about the walls and ceiling. Jack only knew here the abomination had come from and they seemed to be having quite a time with it... there was no need for yet another to get pinned. She moved a little closer to Vero in hopes of at least deflecting some of whatever might pop out at the smaller creature.
Her vigilance at trying to protect it however faltered for a few moments at hearing a faint growl coming from behind. What the Jack... there was no reason for that. Out of the corner of her eye Tsu noticed Merry move up and latch herself onto Natalia, doubling checking to see if there was anyone else behind them and seeing no one at the moment. she could only deduce that it had come from the female, who for some reason was being overly possessive with someone that it seemed she'd just met. Catching up to Vero, who had gone ahead to talk to the new students, she placed a hand on it's shoulder. "Little Vero, if you don't mind, I may have a few observations you might want to add about chimeras. It seems that the adolescent ones tend to be more promiscuous and do little to hide or control their more base desires.... though it may be more of a case by case basis." she said, though there wasn't time to say much else as vines suddenly appeared , blocking their way forward down the hall.
"Lovely... sparkles and now flowers..."

Cuinn’s biting did not seem to be very effective. The vine continued to spread. The others seemed to be doing a much better job of fighting than he was – even the ghouls! This initial failure did not bother the cu sith. Any self-respecting dog knew that chewing apart anything be it a chew toy, a bone, or shoe, took patience and determination. If he kept at it long enough, these teeth of his would do a lot of damage! At the very least, he could help out by placing himself in the front lines alongside Shun.
If this trap posed any real danger, the two of them could deal with it.
Once again Cuinn found him self relieved that he had found a group to travel with. Had he been alone when this thing attacked, he would have been in trouble.

With little more progress, Levia reached out a pale hand, grasping the end of an overly ornate knob. It had been on the door to a small stand, a vase of flowers sitting merrily atop it. The end of the knob was a screw, of which Levia promptly used to help pummel the vines. A quick glance around confirmed that her companions hadn't been swallowed by the sheer stench of the flowers, and she began hammering away again. Lucky thing, being a zombie, she tended to have a decent amount of stamina.

Van turned, about to reply to the creature which had approached him as he waited, but a damn vine appeared ahead. "I'll have to be friendly in a few minutes," he told the zombie. "In the meantime, I think they could use our help?... I don't want to get kissed again," Van muttered in disgust. He waved to the zombie to come along, but didn't have time to hesitate. Last time he had paused for only a moment, and the stairs had fallen beneath him. This time, something was approaching from behind, and it was getting closer. "Don't let whatever that is catch you, you know?" He called back as he moved. Several others were already attacking, but he didn't have enough energy to talk. Keeping himself from vomiting was taking all his remaining energy. Jack save him, the smell was overwhelming.
With his sharp claws and the slicing tip of his tail, Van attacked the vine, trying to carve into it with his limited natural weapons. It seemed to give under the tail best, so Cervantes wielded it without stopping. Quietly, he complained, "My tail is starting to get sore..." but didn't stop. In fact, he carved his name into the vine as he attacked, trying to hack it apart.

Faint did as Demi asked, concentrating on the same spot as best as he could. His first attack hadn't worked out as well, so he uncurled his fist and struck out with his claws. They hadn't done him wrong yet.
Except for accidently causing a bear to squish Demi.
"... Did I ever apologize for squishing you?" He asked as a sudden afterthought.

Sin was becoming...antisocial, alright not fully but she could tell that her social butterfly routine had taken a major dive. She enjoyed spending most of her time with Rosc and when she wasn't with Rosc she was doing homework, practicing fearleading routines, or panicking about her rapidly approaching exams. Even now she felt a flash of cold dread but it faded as she tugged her poor friend towards the glittery haunted house.
"You'll thank me someday Julian, when you're not alone and pathetically holed up in your room!" Julian was Sin's friend even if he wasn't the type of friend she might be expected to have. She was almost offended by his original refusal of her generous offer! Studying and work over time with her and Rosc? Was he crazy?
She'd asked nicely, then pleaded a bit, even done some mild begging, until she flat out told him he was coming. Fortunately for Sin Julian did finally give in and she was all too happy to drag him faster when she spotted her boilfriend.
"You're not a third wheel, you're my friend and we all need some fun!" She explained again for what was probably the hundredth time. Her eyes lit up as they neared the waiting incubus and her lips curved into a genuine smile.
"Rosc! Sorry we kept you waiting, Rosc this is Julian, Julian this is Rosc."
Apparently despite how eager she was to go inside her demonic manners for introduction hadn't completely fled.
She craned her neck trying to look inside the door and then glanced up at the pink sign. "This looks incredibly wicked...let's go!" She hooked her freearm with Rosc's and led them towards the stairway up.

Seeing movement out of the corner of his eyes, Shun glanced to the side in time to see a new face joining in on the fight, attacking the vines with their claws and tail. He didn't keep his attention on the newcomer all too long as he just kept on slashing away at the vegetation. At least there was a little extra help here.
The sooner they got through this, the better, he figured.

"I almost hate to wonder what else they are going to throw at us next..." Tsu muttered as she waded into the fray, noticing that several others had already begun attacking the vines. There wasn't anything in her immediate area that might serve as a weapon, so she just headed on in and started pulling and tearing at them with her hands. Hoping to find something further in, though she wasn't going to hold her breath.
