Victoria's eyes widened as she watched Dante being rude to Daren. Her cheeks burning with color, she stepped up to Daren and smiled in a sorry manner. "Well, I hope you have a good day, and it was nice to meet you. Hope to see you around again, but we have to go." She said it quickly as she waved good by and steered Dante in the other direction, still embarrassed.
Daren watched them go, feeling a little irritated. It looked like the Dante guy didn't seem very friendly. He better be nice to that girl, he thought in fury as he narrowed his eyes at Dante's back. He turned slowly on his foot, thinking that Victoria was quick to go. He also thought that Dante seemed like a controlling type of person...He hoped that he got to meet Victoria again as he quickly started jogging the opposite way.

"Aria come get dinner!"
Aria drug herself out of the comfort of her bed at her mother's words. She ran downstairs and saw her dad already at the table.
"Hey kiddo." he said.
"Kiddo? Not really what I was expecting."
"Your mom told me how you've been feeling and well...I just want you to know that we love you no matter what."
"Thanks...you could start by not calling me kiddo."
Aria watched both of parents laugh and she even let a few chuckles of her own out. It was almost like everything was okay, but she knew there were still a few things that needed to be taken care of.
"I'm off."
"Aria, it's getting a little late.."
"Mom...Don't worry I'll be back soon, and this really can't wait. Seeya."
Aria knew that sooner or later she'd have to apologize to Dante. He wasn't really the apologizing type and if they ever wanted to be on speaking terms again, that's what it would take. So she just decided sooner was better than later.
She closed the front door and instantly crashed into someone. She looked up at the person and realized it was someone she'd never seen before. And someone with awesome blue eyes.
"I am sooooo sorry, I was in a hurry."

"He seemed friendly. Shall we continue?" Dante said as he turned his head back and glanced at the guy. Dante thought about what Aria was up to. He wondered if she met up with Veto again or not.

Daren felt himself bump into someone and figured it was Victoria again. He glanced down at a girl and realized it wasn't her at all, but another girl. She had beautiful blue eyes just like his own and a few highlights of pink in her hair. He grinned at her and shook his head. He must be clumsy tonight, bumping into all of these gorgeous girls. Or it was fate talking to him. He grabbed her hand gently and put it up to his lips, kissing it. "It was my fault, really. I'll let you be on your way then, if your in such a hurry." He raised an eyebrow, teasing her.
Victoria sighed and knew he was irritated with her. "I'm sorry, Dante. Please don't be mad." She whispered to him, a flush coming to her cheeks and tears coming into her eyes. She couldn't bare a loss of a new friend. He was her only friend.

"How could I be mad at you?" Dante said in a nice manner. He held on to her hand as he led her towards his house. The street was usually crowed around this time, but it wasn't too bad today.
They came up to his house and he opened the door. His mother just finished cleaning and was putting things away in the closet. "Hey mom! I'd like you to meet someone." he semi yelled. His mother came out from around the corner.
She was a normal looking person. Nothing too fancy about her. She looked well presented for just cleaning and walked with dignity. She was a little smaller than Dante, around 5' 8", and was average size. People always wondered why she didn't have a boyfriend since she had the looks. She just wanted to be a caring mother to Dante instead.
"So, who may this be?" his mother said in a surprised but compassionate manner.
"Mom this is Victoria. Victoria this is my mother Amy." he said.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Victoria. Dante never brings anyone over except for Xavier and Aria. But I'm glad he brought you." Amy said offering to shake her hand.
Dante went into the kitchen to grab the two a drink. He got a can of Pepsi for Victoria and a Mountain Dew for him. He also grabbed his mother a bottle of water since she looked a little hot. He came back in the room and handed the drinks to the two.

What the? What guy kisses hands anymore?...Am I BLUSHING?!
"It's alright, I wasn't in that much of a hurry. My name's Aria by the way."
He didn't ask for my name did he? Why the hell am I inter-monologuing?
"Um, what's your name? I mean you look kinda new. Not like you look like un cool or anything. Like....um yeah how about that name? Heh heh."

Daren grinned at her nervousness. "I'm Daren. Nice to meet you. You have a beautiful name." He tested it out, cocking his head to the side. "Hm...Aria. It's..nice." He winked and took a small step forward. "Are you sure your not in a hurry? Your face seems a little...flushed." He whispered this and raised an eyebrow, trying to bring her attention span only to him.Victoria blushed when he took her hand but calmed down when they got to the house. She was relieved when he replied he wasn't mad at her. Seeing his mom stick out her hand, she nervously took a step backward and glanced down at the floor. Without Dante in the room, nothing seemed right, everything seemed awkward and unsafe. She took a deep breath and whispered, "Pleasure to meet you too." She panicked when he didn't give a last name. It was never polite to call an adult by their first names! At least that was how she was taught...((I'm going to go ahead and change Victoria's appearance...))

Aria raised her own eyebrow. She wasn't going to go gaga over someone she just met. No matter how awesome......

Dante sensed something weird in the air when he came back. Victoria was looking at the floor and actually stepped away from his mother.
"Is there something wrong Victoria?" he said as he opened her pop for her. Dante's mother looked at Victoria with a slightly confused but understanding look. "Well you did leave her by herself with a strange woman Dante." his mother looked at him and back to Victoria. She put her hand next to her mouth and jokingly whispered, "You gotta excuse him. He's never been much of the gentleman." Amy was always making joking comments about her son. Most of the time they were embarrassing ones, but that's what mothers do. She was the type to lighten the mood any way she could. Dante laughed and shook his head at his mother's comment, since he heard it and for the fact that his mother failed at whispering.

Victoria giggled slightly and stopped, rubbing her foot into the carpet, looking up at Dante's mother. She gave a small smile to the both of them and swallowed. "Yes, I'm fine." She replied to Dante's increasing concern. She glanced back at the door, trying to think of what else to say, but coming up with nothing.
Daren took a deep breath and shook his head, not in the least bit uncomfortable. "Nope." He lied easily, smiling again at the gorgeous girl. He glanced up at the sky and noticed it had finally gotten dark, and it was a little harder to make out the pink strip in Aria's hair. He tilted his head to the side and continued to stare at her. "Any plans for tonight?" He asked casually and then grinned, because he knew he was being a flirt.

"Well I was going to go see my friend but seeing as he's probably gone now, nope, none-ya. You?" Aria asked casually.
She watched Daren. He was obviously flirting. She ran her hand through her hair, her headphones hanging around her neck.

"Well I'm sure you didn't bring her here to talk to me, so I'll leave you two alone. Plus I have to work tonight." Amy said as she drank her water.
"I thought Becca was covering for you?" Dante asked curiously. He was thinking that his mom was leaving because he had someone over.
"The ER is short on staff tonight. They called to tell me that I had to come in anyways." Amy was heading to get her scrubs, so she could go to work.
"Well are we still doing dinner tomorrow?" Dante asked.
"Why don't you take Victoria instead? I'm sure she would enjoy it. Plus we can go some other time."
Dante shrugged his shoulders and motioned his hands towards the couch. He was offering Victoria a seat. After all he was trying to be a gentleman, so he thought ladies first.

Daren chuckled and hooked his fingers in his front pockets. "Nope, zippo. Maybe we could..go grab a bite to eat?" He asked this while looking at the sky. It looked about to rain soon.Victoria blushed slightly when Amy suggested he take her out to dinner lately. She saw him wave a hand to the couch and she glided over to it, light and bouncy on her feet from nervousness. As soon as his mom had left the room, she glanced at him quickly and muttered, "She seems nice."

"Yeah. You'll lighten up to her more once you start coming around." Dante checked his watch. It was getting late and the party was in a few hours. "So do you still want to go tonight? If so I could go change, and then stop by your house if you need anything." Dante leaned his head back and rested it on the back of the couch. He couldn't wait for tonight. It would be his time to relax.

Victoria sighed and knew he really wanted to go. So she put a smile on her face and got up from the couch. "Sure. And yes, when you are ready to go we might want to stop by my place for a minute." She said the last part quietly, glancing around in case his mom was listening in. She didn't want to get him in trouble.
