The world needs a higher density of appropriate moments for supervillian laughter. I've got a disney grade evil laugh, but I never get to use it.

Thanks.

Also, huh. I would think that everyone would have at least seen the mailman that ferries mail to anywhere else in north america at least once. Maybe? Ah well...

Not necessarily. Unless he delivers each and every package to each specific home, there's no reason for these kids to have ever seen him. I figured the mailman delivered the packages to a central post office in each town and everyone got their crap from there. I also thought the mailman would be referred to as the mailman and not "Ian Kimball who delivers packages on a dragonite".

Heck, I don't know my mail person - the only reason I found out she was female was because I had to call the post office to find out about a missing package. I still don't know her name or if she has a pet. I've never ever seen her and couldn't begin to imagine what she looks like. But maybe I'm the weird (and rather antisocial) one...

The idea was that the mail service is not institutionalized. Society has collapsed and the social services just don't exist. Ian is likely one of a relatively small number of people on the continent that possess a dragonite, and happens to have decided that Gary needed a distinguishing mark.

Obviously if he knew more people he could set up a more institutionalized version, but as is, he functions as the only relatively cheap way to get large packages out of the dead zone around the cities, as I see it. Mail would obviously be handled by bird pokemon, since even pidgeys should be able to carry letters. The regular post would probably be delivered by pidgeys, if 'regular' at all, and small packages likely be considered a waste of a pidgeot's talents.

The only reason I have to expect Ian to have minor recognition is as an unusual skyline occurrence that happens to cause the city to ask questions, and be at least passingly familiar with the dragon's red envelope of peace and messenging.

Although I do agree, mailmen are often not known in modern society. I merely applied some economic knowledge in addition to random fantasy stuff I've read about 'caravans' and the desire for contact from the outside world. He would be able to bring news, which I'm sure would be welcome in a small isolated town.

Now. Sleep.

Phew, I guess being sick has its perks. I've posted (another monster D: ) and will now go back to drinking water in gallon-ous amounts and hiding under my blankets.

My take on the courier issue is that Juno may have known that Ian existed, but not necessarily his name nor his appearance. On that note, those four players: I will not be regulating you again until you reach Glenville. Hopefully the rest of the encounters will be wrapped up pretty quickly; those of you out of Cliffshire, iD and I will try to move faster if you will. What this means for everyone else is that there may be times when we post for Cliffshire and not the rest of you now and then.

Friendship is Dragons is pretty cool.

Post tonight? Maybe? Assuming all areas have enough response for me to post to? And probably introducing Venom's character, if I don't get swallowed by working/chatting online/watching a screening of PhD Comics.

I will just go ahead and hang my head in shame for the incoming GM post.
*hangs head in shame*
Siber and I spoke of Aaron's accuracy of his guess.
