Sephis gazed at Morbella for a moment, after she answered, trying to get a read on her thoughts. For the most part, her mind was very clear. She was smarter than the average Lieutenant. Sephis was sure her comrade would have been screaming obscenities at him, in his head, by this point.

"How long have you been in the Navy, Lieutenant?" Sephis asked, starting out with a simple, innocuous question to get Morbella talking.

Morbella had never been much of a speaker in Sephis' experience, and he imagined that would be doubly true for this interrogation.

Morbella scratched her temple and made a show of gazing up at the ceiling to remember before she answered. "About... six years, give or take a few months." With the time lapse on Munto Codru so long ago, it was impossible for her to recall exactly how long she was enlisted for. Of course she didn't mind giving an obscenely vague answer, either. This 'interrogation' was a joke, and all she had to do was either tire Sephis of it or wait for the Admiral to end it.

Sephis toggled the datapad back and forth in his hand, idly, while Morbella answered him. When she answered, Sephis turned his gaze at the datapad, pretending to understand all of the readings he was seeing. Another innocent prod, but with a step toward the point:

"How would you describe your duties?"

Morbella cast a glance at the door idly."I wouldn't." She said simply, trying her best not to appear slightly amused at the question as she returned her full attention to the Sith across from her. No matter how much she convinced herself over and over that she would be alright, that she herself was protected by enough layers of her own making and the makings of others, she still had to be careful. Even if those layers existed around her this man could still kill her if he chose to, if she made him want to.

Sephis flicked his eyes upward. He hadn't been expecting that response.

"What would be your... What do you do?" Sephis asked, trying to tackle this particular question from a different angle.

What was Morbella playing at? I wouldn't describe my duties, Sephis thought, imitating Morbella's voice in his head sourly.

Finally catching Sephis' gaze with her own, the Lieutenant maintained her impassive expression. "It's Classified."

Which Sephis might have known, had he arranged for this interrogations through the correct channels.. had the Admiral been involved or, at the very least, his CO. Either Sephis did know this, and he was either testing her or hoping for otherwise, or she would be out of this room sooner than she had previously hoped.

Sephis stilled the datapad in his lap, holding it steady for two fingers as his still gaze turned into a glare. Then he set the datapad down onto the table and leaned forward, clasping his hands over the table, trying to fight back the instinctual frustration and anger that Morbella's one-word response incited in him.

"Define classified for me," Sephis said without looking at Morbella directly. Sephis wanted to concentrate more on hearing at this moment than staring the Lieutenant down.

Without the slightest twinkle in an eye, twitch of the mouth, or a shift in the direction of her stare - thought Sephis had diverted his own - Morbella said slowly and deliberately, "Above. your. pay grade?" Though her expression remained impassive, there was definitely something a little too sweet in her tone as she compensated for the impertinent answer.

She could have said anything. She might have repeated herself, or defined the word as he asked which, admittedly, would have still been impertinent but not blatantly insolent. Hell, she might have even humored him and informed him that she couldn't define it in the terms he wanted, specific terms that were classified because of her own standing orders.

Whoops.

Sephis jumped up from his chair and slammed the table into the wall on his left with the Force. With a snap-hiss, his long-handled lightsaber was out, and lifted Morbella up by the throat, both with his own muscle power and the Force, and smacked her against the wall. He brought the saber up close between them, and stared into Morbella's eyes, his fury at the Lieutenant's insolence boring into them. The red blade hummed loudly before them.

"This work that was above my paygrade is what brought you into that elevator?"

Sephis hadn't realized it, but he'd lost control of his human form. He his face, at least, had turned into the half-gurlanin half-human visage that it normally did when he lost his cool. His words came out snarling.

"Well..."

She chewed on her lip contemplatively, before shrugging as she looked away, a hint of playfulness in her eyes.

"You I'm not so sure about." She answered him, repressing a smile. "But, I guess you can always ride my coattails then."

She would rather take her chances and die, than to keep running in fear of ones life only to eventually be caught anyway.

"Besides, they'll expect us to try and hide most likely. If we're quick, we might be able to take out an advantage on them. " She pointed out.

Irella al-Meara

Irella completely froze up with the Anzat in close proximity. Had Neiva somehow seen what she did, or did she somehow know what the blonde had been thinking of trying do?

Whatever the reason was that had earned her the attention of the Anzat again, it had completely robbed her of the courage to actually go ahead and try what she'd been contemplating. So much, that she could only nod weakly in conformation of remembering her name.

Ice cold shivers ran down her back as she looked into those penetrating yellow eyes.

"Y-You could?"

The question was more out of surprise than actually being delighted at hearing that, on the contrary, she wasn't so sure if she wanted to learn anything from this Sith Master now. If only out of concern for her own well being, as something about this person felt more dark and dangerous than she was comfortable with.

"Uhm..." She tried to think of her words carefully, as she wasn't quite sure how well meant that given smile was. "Not that I... I'm ungrateful, or anything, 'cause I'm really happy that you helped me off that ship, I am." She began nervously, looking anywhere but directly at Neiva. "But... well, it does seem that we know each other, but still. You kind of frighten me." She blurted out. "I've got this feeling like... like I should be careful about trusting you. Sorry."

Her eyes glanced up back to Mabysyn, to carefully overlook the reaction of the Anzat before deciding whether she should be considered friend or foe.

"Should I be?"

Kal smiled that cold, cruel smile he used to use in the old days. Right when he thought everything was in the palm of his hands. And right before everything went sideways for him.

"Well, okay then..."

Kal swiveled his seat so he was facing the cockpit controls. He brought up a starmap and zoomed in on a comet that was twice the size of the Corruo.

"Well, it seems that Point Nadir might be the first place we would want to call 'home', then," Kal suggested.

Hesitation was to be expected, but reluctance was a rare thing to encounter when Mabysyn wanted something. Her smile hardened only slightly, her eyes crinkling with a phony display of momentary sadness. "Is anyone worth trusting?" She asked. "I didn't ask you to trust me, Irella." The Anzat repeated the girls name, letting it roll off her tongue like ambrosia.

"All I ask," She continued, murmuring, reaching into the blonde's signature gently with mental suggestion, her words echoing subtly within her mind. "Is to teach you what you wish to learn, and only what you wish. I will not force your hand where you would stay it, I will not drag you to go where you would not tread, and I will not leave you until you ask me to go."

Mab lowered her eyes to the girl's throat as her senses closed in around the girls. For the moment, only the two of them existed on the ship surrounded by the heavy promise being offered. "If you wish it, I could teach you to never fear the betrayal of trust that holds you back now."

Morbella's eye sight flashed as her head hit the wall and her own hands came up to struggle against Sephis' grip, though she knew that it was more than his hand that held her. Her feet barely touched the ground, slipping and sliding against his feet while he barked at her - literally. She watched with widening eyes as his featured shifted in his anger and she trembled involuntarily.

Closing her eyes to block out the furious visage, and the stars that accompanied it, and clenched her teeth together. She had been so stupid not to think that the lift had eyes in it. "No." She hissed, but did not continue. His grip on her airway made it difficult to speak... out loud.

"<That was just R&R.>" Tensing, preparing for another out lash or a close-er encounter with the red blade humming in her face, the Lieutenant stubbornly stuck to her impudence.

[ Naboo ]

Mina nods and gives Kennero a farewell admonishment -- "If you leave Coruscant without me..." She trails off because they both know what she'll do - she'll go after him, and find him, and then be very upset with him for as long as she can manage to be. Smiling, Mina kisses her fiancee chastely on the cheek before turning and following her senses to the Grandmaster and his near-legendary predecessor.

She makes it to the funeral just as the service begins, settling herself anonymously in a back row as a song begins. The sweet but melancholy music makes her heart ache yet brings her peace in a confusing and utterly nonsensical way but she's too focused on the sound to even think about the strange dichotomy. There is a sort of peace in death, Mina thinks without realizing she is thinking it until much later, a peace that Warren deserves. (And a gift that Ali has earned, and one that would do Darth Isani and everyone else good.)

When the song ends and the fire ignites and begins to consume the body, when most of the Nubians present leave, Mina finds herself surprisingly dry-eyed; the Knight has made her peace with death, it seems.

She takes the opportunity to approach Sam and the Grandmaster, and in doing so hears the last of Ronyo's promise.

"I'm afraid that justice belongs to me, and Kennero," she informs Ronyo softly before joining Sam on her other side (and strangely and at the most inappropriate of times the heat she feels is not from the flames alone). "Sam," Mina greets, sympathy and more -- understanding, for Mina has suffered the death of a mentor and the abrupt change too -- encompassed in the name.
