"HOLY ******** s**t---" Jeremy wasn't sure when the horseshoe got shoved up his a**, but there it was. While the others who were attacked were either trapped or injured, he escaped without a single scratch...unless you count a very ripped shirt. Which he did not. The next thing he knew, Before was screaming and they were both knocked down by both the other boy's flailing and the general shock of the (failed) attack. What happened after that took a nice swift kick to his pride.
There were people helping their fallen or shaken comrades, but not a single one seemed to notice him. Some went to help Before, others just hovered nearby - that one girl even took Before right out of his grasp - and left him there without a single word. Understandable he assumed as Before was quite loud, and the only injury he himself had sustained was to his clothing...but it still kind of surprised him. Hurt, even. Well. Fine. When the girl with the tattooed face walked off with Before - who had previously been in his grip up until then - he frowned and pulled himself to his feet, his legs still shaking from the near miss, and took a look around.
Most of them were retreating together of course, and a quick scan of the crowd made him realize that someone else was missing, and he turned to try and look for her.
"Ariane! Where the hell are you?" Hurt pride and team resentment could come later, all that mattered now was keeping his ally safe...and maybe to beat the s**t out of a couple straggling creatures for fun.
...Or maybe just swing, either way.

... That was a tad out of character for Bix. Just a tad.
Then again, maybe he had grown balls when she wasn't looking.
Seeing Gale and Bix move to apparent safety, she turned her attention back to the battlefield. Jeremy had been hit by one of the things, and Before was flailing blindly. Two girls had been trapped, one of them freed by Gale, the other had that guy - Robert? - going after her. This means that she should now try to cover their backs.
... And take Jeremy along. Or it could be the other way round, really, as long as they are both alive at the end of the day.
"HERE." She grabbed Jeremy's arm before wincing, looking down at her own arm; the acid burns looked worse than before, and she didn't feel like she should be hitting anything anytime soon. Exchanging the bat for a gun from the pack slung over her back, she frowned, "I say we beat the s**t out of them on our way there..."
She then fired her gun off at an approaching monster.
... That was totally a warning shot.

"I'm, uh, I'm Madison," she managed, looking in Davey's direction. "Yeah. On three..."
She lined up her next shot. Pulled the trigger.
Click.
She tried again, sweat running down her forehead.
Click. Clickclickclick-
"Uh. Uh. Uh.. one." She took a few shuffling steps back, keeping her gun in front of her and trying to look menacing. "T-Two."
"Three!"
With that, Madison darted backwards, as rapidly as she could, and threw herself through the door into the 'safehouse'.

Before found himself rising to his feet at Scott's order, "I'm up! I'm up! Oh-God-Oh-God-where-do-I-go-now-ow-ow-ow-ow!" hissing loudly when he put his weight on his injured feet and falling back down. DDDDDX he was once again on all fours, obviously if he wanted to be able to move with any decent amount of speed without support, he was going to have to crawl. With most of the other hunters having retreated, the amount of voices had lessened and Before managed to pick up Jeremy's yelling. Jeremy! Boss! Where the ******** were they?! Did those things get them?! HAD THEY RETREATED SAFELY!?!? DDDDDDDDDX!!!!!! "GERMY! GERMY, WHERE ARE YOU, DUDE? IS BOSS WITH YOU?!" he yelled, then turning to face where he thought Scott was (though Before's sense of direction right now? Not really very good) "Hey, uh, dude-I-don't-know, could you-" a gunshot suddenly got his attention.
And by attention, read: freaked him the ******** out. Before frantically began to crawl to what he thought was away from the sound, hands and knees scuffling over ground and corpses and fleshy remnants alike until he collided with... were those legs?

"You're not dead yet?" Jeremy jested, managing a very lame grin. It was good to see she wasn't taken down, but a glance at her arm, well...that wasn't good. He grimaced at them, but with the next wave closing in he really didn't want to stop and bandage her up; they were already sitting ducks, that would be making it worse! He thought about asking her; he could heal her after all! But if she wanted to, she'd ask. Probably.
"I like this plan." He agreed, bodily flinching at the gunshot so close to his ear, effectively blocking out the unfortunate nickname that was screamed by a certain blind man. With his ripped shirt practically hanging off of his frame, he let adrenaline take over his trembling body. Feet grounded, Jeremy took a swing and heard the all too satisfying crack once more, the successful knocking back of a creature...followed by a cry of complete surprise.
"WHAT THE ******** it's you." A quick glance down caught sight of Before. Well, caught sight and feel. "WHOA there buddy, gettin' a little too friendly for me~" He took the opportunity he had given himself to swoop down, hook an arm under one of Before's, and try to hoist him to his feet.

"Before."
That name was uttered with a tone that suggested she was exasperated, and she probably was. She allowed Jeremy to hoist the guy up before tugging them all forward towards 'safety'. Part of her wondered if this was all some sort of a trap, and going into that odd building would make things worse. Another part of her wondered where their oh so powerful superior went... Seriously, they're dying out here!
She managed a grin at Jeremy, "I don't die easy. I'll be here to bother you forever~ When we get back, I'm sleeping in your room tonight. With you in it." It would be nice.
BANG.
This time, she managed to hit her target.

Madison. Davey committed the name to memory - not that it was an easy name to forget. He waited for Madison to take her last shot, counting down with her.
One. A few steps backwards.
Two. Davey dropped the baseball bat back into the bag slung over his shoulder.
Madison had just fired her last bullet when, together, they said, "Three!"
Then they were off. Davey's stomach dropped to turn his back on the approaching horde, fueling the adrenaline already in his system from the battle. Sprinting across the ground, he latched onto Madison's wrist, ensuring that they stayed together as they fled. When they reached the bunker, he slowed, Madison throwing herself in first, Davey close behind.
Safe! ... Right?

Ennéa wheezed and stumbled along, practically carried by her rescuer and trying her best not to trip over her own feet. She was covered in acid burns and her left wrist ached where that monster had grabbed her. She bit her lip and tried not to whimper as each jostling step made fresh pain spike through her whole arm.
But it was okay. Tobias was here, a solid and reassuring presence at her side, helping her escape the monsters. Things were going to be okay.
Things were... Ennéa blinked and tried to focus her eyes. No, the person at her side wasn't her brother, Tobias didn't have red hair and he wasn't quite as tall. This was Jordan. Or was he? Ennéa wasn't sure any more. Everything was confused and swirling about and the howling of the advancing wave of monsters filled her ears so. It was terribly noisy.
Whatever. It didn't matter right now. She'd figure it out later once she stopped feeling wobbly and clumpy like a disgusting bowl of her mother's oatmeal. She lolled her head against Jordan's shoulder. "You always look out for me." she slurred absently. "Thanks."

Before was just about ready to once again flip his s**t in the vent whoever, or whatever it was, that hoisted him back to his feet was one of those shambling monstrosities. But hearing it was Jeremy and Boss, their voices helped to calm him down. "Oh, thank God you're both okay!" the relief was audible in his voice, visible in the way he slumped his weight against the other trainee. "Where are we going?" he asked, recalling how everyone who'd tried to help him had at one point had yelled and ordered for him to move. Move where exactly? It was something he'd wanted to ask but never really got the chance seeing as things were moving way too fast for him to keep up without his sight. "It's cool if I just tag along, yeah?" he weakly asked.

The look Jeremy gave Ariane's 'promise' was one that just screamed I don't believe a god damn word you say. It was impressive actually, so many words in a look. But still, it was there. He didn't believe her; he knew her too well to play into the innuendo that was there, even vaguely.
"We're heading to the shelter, just head ov---Oh, right." A quick glance at Before reminded him that he was currently blind, which posed a problem. He wanted to beat as many things as he could before he retreated, but having a blindman with them wasn't in their best interests. He frowned a bit, tilting his head. "Just...hold on I guess, I'll try not to hit you."
He swung at a nearby thing and missed. Well, he didn't miss, more like he didn't do any damage. It seemed that having Before leaning on him didn't give him the momentum he needed to do a damn thing damage wise...
Which left them dangerously close to one of those things.

She raised an eye brow before laughing at Jeremy's look, sweeping her bangs aside; she had meant that in a purely innocent way! Really! Why be hatin', Jeremy? Then again, she can't exactly blame him for his reaction, seeing how she had so 'innocently' suggested similar things in the past.
BANG CLICK CLICK CLICK
"s**t... I hope you can still run, even with Before over your shoulder," She tossed the now useless gun back into the pack slung over her shoulder; at least the last bullet managed to hit something. Too bad it ran out of bullets just as her aim improved, "Told you that you should have quit smoking a long time ago! It affects your stamina~"

"Oh ********." Jeremy managed to get out, staring at the creature as it leaned back, ready to pounce. His heart seemed to seize and his stomach felt heavy with panic...and then his flight reflexes kicked in. "Let's go!" He urged Before, though he was already pulling him back and beginning to run. "If you fall, I'm leaving you behind!" He hissed at Before, completely serious. The thing he had failed in attacking pounced but, thanks to the frantic running, missed.
"You can lecture me later, just move!" The blonde called over his shoulder, irritation clear in his voice. There was a time and place for lectures like this, and on a battlefield surrounded by monsters was not one of them. Pulling Before along, Jeremy headed towards the shelter.

"Yeah yeah, Germ," Ariane laughed as she took after Jeremy (and Before) to the odd building; at least laughing made her feel slightly better. Just slightly though... While she could already see several of the hunters gathered there, and that there was strength in numbers, those things probably outnumber them one to a hundred...
... Suddenly, she found herself with the urge to find a deep pit and kick one of those things into it while yelling something epic.
Odd.

Jordan held Ennea up, half-carrying her as they made it to the shelter of the house. "I've got you," he said. "I'll take care of you." She was really out of it, badly hurt, moreso than she'd looked at first glance - did that acid crap keep burning? Would they have to find a way to wash it off?
He looked up and glanced around at the other trainees taking shelter in the building, trying to keep a headcount. Ennea, Madison, Robert, Petra - his team was safe, thank God; Jeremy, Ariane, Before, Bix, Gale, Scott, Davey, Hanna, Scarlett ... he struggled to remember all the names and faces, people he'd met bare hours ago. Marcus, Jude ... Tika? Cass? Crap, they were missing a few. Three, possibly four, and they couldn't afford to go back out to look for them. He curled his free hand into a fist, nails digging into his palm, irrationally angry at himself. He couldn't drag everyone in himself, wasn't in charge, but being unable to help stung.
The building was safety of a sort. It was little enough sanctuary, and they were pinned now, but it was better than trying to fight those things in the open. They needed to get a better idea of the building they'd barricaded themselves in; he wanted to investigate himself, but he couldn't move around efficiently with the injured girl leaning heavily on him, near delirious with pain. He raised his voice. "Somebody take a look around in here," he suggested. "We need to know if this place has any weak points we'll have to guard."
