Ira grimaced, realizing his mistake far too late to take it back. He'd gone too far: crossed the line into the emotional territory he knew Brian couldn't stand. He could feel the tension spread in the older male's body- the distance the blonde was putting between them physically and emotionally. Quickly, Ira forced a smirk, trying to cover his indiscretion with the usual taunts and sarcasm now that he read the same from Brian. "Yeah, well, that's just 'cause you're the only one I've had, old man." He countered after the brief kiss, a smile on his lips.

"I said I'm the best that you will ever have. As long as you live and ******** you'll never have anyone as good as me. I hope you're ready for that kind of disappointment." The blonde let out another chuckle and pushed the boy's shoulders, holding the narrow bones tightly as he leaned his weight over Ira's just enough to show off his dominance once again. "You know, kid...you really are kind of attractive. Not the best looking man I've ever seen but you're hot for a kid." Brian attempted the compliment wanting the boy to feel a little more comfortable with him despite ther antics.

"Love is like a butterfly, it goes where it pleases and it pleases wherever it goes. Love is like a butterfly, hold it too tight, it'll crush. Hold it too loose, it'll fly."

The teen smirked, gearing up for their battle of snark, "that's a pretty cocky thing to say..." He taunted, near laughter and he bent a bit closer to Brian, "S'pose I'll have to ******** you a few more times, just to be sure of what I'm supposed to compare every other guy to." When the older blonde complimented him, Ira gave a genuine smile. Even though the comment was backwards and sarcastic, Ira knew Brian well enough by now that any small sign of affection- even something as silly as this- didn't come easily to the man. As his shoulder were pushed back, Ira sank back to sit on his heels, Letting Brian contort his body as they knelt there on the shower floor. "You can just admit it, we both know I'm smokin' hot" he teased with a gentle chuckle and a smirk. Ira paused for a moment, then spoke again. "I guess you're attractive enough...for an old man" he returned Brian's half-complement with one of his own, but his sarcastic facade quickly crumbed. "Actually," he admitted quietly, "I think you're incredibly sexy. I stared at you for months at Babylon before finally asking for your number." In a rare moment of truth, Ira was divulging some of his true feelings without worrying about swelling Brian's already healthy ego. "I'd been dreaming of what being ******** by you would be like for...well, what seems like forever. and not that a cocky b*****d like you needs to hear it, but what you d-do to me... The reality is way better than anything I imagined." Ira smirked, "and I have a very active imagination."

The boy's confession startled any snappy retort right out of Brian and the man held his tongue with his teeth for a moment to stop any stutter that the uncomfortable feeling would cause him then finally he took in a deep breath and spoke. "Good to know I'm not a disappointment." Brian smirked and slowly stood making his way out of the shower stall. The man grabbed his robe from the floor and wrapped his body in it leaving the boy alone in the shower as Brian took in deep breaths stumbling to the kitchen; the boy's words playing through his mind over and over again causing Brian's mind to race with thoughts he hadn't considered in a long time...thoughts of commitment and comfort from another man.

Ira frowned as he watched Brian rise to his feet and slowly leave. The teen waited a moment before grasping the bar along the wall and pulling himself to his feet. He rubbed his knees, trying to urge feeling back into them after having been on them for some time. Then slowly, he stepped out of the shower, turning the now luke-warm stream off. Ira looked about him and reached for a nearby towel, wrapping it around his waist tightly before he went off in search of the older male. His frown returned as he spotted the man stumbling into the kitchen. After a small hesitation, Ira walked over and pressed a hand to the male's back for the briefest of moments. "Hey..." he spoke tentatively, "I know you don't like my talking about...stuff...but I can't even compliment the sex?" He teased gently, trying to break Brian from his current haze and hoping to understand the man better.

A little baffled by the boy's words, Brian didn't know how to respond. He'd reacted very harshly to even the most affectionate tones that he'd run away form something not even pushing towards an emotional attempt which scared him even more than the thought of actually being involved. Brian grasp at the counter with firm grips and slowly lifted his head allowing his wet blonde locks to slide back against his neck. With a few deep intakes of breath the blonde turned around facing the teen with a frown. "I guess I'm just a little to uptight." The man chuckled knowing he hadn't found the correct words but he let it slide knowing the boy would probably find something wrong with what he said no matter what it would have been.
