 Amelia blushed, biting her lip. Awkwardly she replied, "Just don't wanna be a bother, you know?" She returned the grin, pushing away the negative thoughts of Professor Reynolds. He probably was just pissed at himself about not doing much for Aludra while she was in labor. Yes, she told herself, that was it. Besides, Sparrow was genuinely nice. She wouldn't mind anyone bothering her, when she was just doodling. "Well, can I judge for myself?" She asked teasingly.

Sparrow tried to keep smiling when she showed Ammy her little sketch and said, "Its supposed to be my father, no mattter how many times I do it..." She paused a minute and continued, "I just can't get it right" She didn't know why, but she kept returning to this drawing. She wanted to show him in a great light as she had remembered him, but she kept getting it wrong, and it was even harder since there had never been many pictures of her father.

Amelia tilted her head, studying the picture. "Well, I've never seen him, but he does sorta look like you." She sat down beside Sparrow, setting it between them. "What do you think's not right?" She asked looking between Sparrow and the picture. It was obvious some part of the picture upset her friend, but as Amelia had never known her father, she knew there wasn't any way for her to help. Still, she'd talk to her, and help her feel better in general. That was why she was there, right? Sparrow was her friend...hopefully.

Sparrow wasn't too sure if it was a good idea to share about her father she was afraid of crying in front of people. She decided to any way eventually and said, "Well I don't really umm remember him the well," She stopped and glanced at Ammy wondering if she got the idea that he was dead or maybe she figured he ran away as some people supposed. She continued saying, "All the pictures show him in a professional light, and it is hard for me to remember the laughing funny father of mine..." In fact the only pictures her family had currently of him were all professional. Her mother had gone through a period of denial and had burned all the other pictures. Sparrow didn't feel like sharing too much.

"Gosh..." she whispered, believing her father dead. She wouldn't pry more than that. It amazed her how little she thought of her father; she was lucky to have one. Looking back up at Sparrow she said softly, "You remember in words though don't cha? Maybe you can tell me sometime." She knew not now; she would cry herself once she heard the pain in Sparrow's voice broken down into words. She wouldn't want to embarrass her, therefore she edged the subject a little happier, "Have you been drawing since you were little?" She meant since she'd seen her father, but she wouldn't voice it.

Sparrow tried to keep her emotions in control and it really did seem like Ammy cared. It felt a little good talking about this with somebody at school. She had never really talked about it to anybody not even any professors or the headmistress. She said, "I don't know I might be able to." After she heard the second question she decided not to continue and just said, "Yea I have been drawing for a long time..." She decided to share more and said, "My father actually taught me how. He used to draw in his spare time." She had gotten more into it after his death and it made her feel connected to him.

Amelia smiled, recognizing the question, "So you're his protejay-protegay...no.." Her face furrowed as she tried to figure out the word. It ruined her entire impression. Pouting a little, she gave up saying, "You know what I mean..." She looked utterly young and adorable when she was displeased with herself.

Sparrow grinned a little. Ammy was making things better. She was a great friend. She then said with a little chuckle, "I guess so. He was way better than me and my sketches are nothing like his." Sparrow's room back home was filled with pictures painted by him. She was sad that he had never done a self-portrait, but Sparrow couldn't change that now. She tried her best not to dwell on the past.

Olli Hufflepuff ; Fifth YearOlli nodded when Ammy went to go talk to Sparrow. She felt bad for not initiating a conversation with her, maybe later she could get to know her. For now though, she returned to her conversation with Nathaniel and Ginny.

Amelia grinned, "I bet that's because you've only really seen his masterpieces. Not the doodles he did in class. Maybe he kept some from his earlier days? You can only compare it to the same age level." Her smile was encouraging and happy. She knew her logic was sound, and when logic worked everything was perfect in her world. Personally she thought the drawing was really realistic and looked more like a picture than anything. "You are really good." she commented as she stared at the picture before her. She wondered if, when Sparrow was done with it, the picture would move like the other ones. If that was the case, she was going to learn to draw too.

Sparrow smiled and replied, "I guess so, maybe I will be able to find some when i return home for break or during the summer." She found it slightly doubtful, but there was a couple boxes in their house that she couldn't bring herself to look at. She wondered if there was anything of the sorts inside. "I really have been too bust currently to work on anything major. With school and quidditch going on." She said. At times she had been so tempted to just skip her homework and start a sketch, but she knew that grades would be something very important and they had been something her father had also stressed upon for when she came to school.

Amelia almost was rude. She almost invited herself over to Sparrow's by saying they could look for the box together. But she bit her lip and blushed instead. She knew Sparrow liked her, but Amelia herself wasn't sure who she was inviting over for the summer. Her mother probably would faint at the sight of one piercing, let alone the many Olli had. And if she couldn't invite her who would she invite? Those were things to ponder for later. Right now, Sparrow was her emphasis. She'd heard her doubt in her voice, but refused to pry, commenting, "You must love being Quidditch captain. Did you manage the Weiski Feint yet?" She would have been surprised if she hadn't. She seemed really close when Amelia nearly killed her that day.

Sparrow had completely forgotten her unhappiness by now thanks to Ammy. She really was a great friend and Sparrow hoped they would stay that way. When she asked her question Sparrow replied with, "Yes, it is one of my favorite things at Hogwarts and being captain just makes it all the more better, because I get to make strategy and be a leader." Sparrow grinned and giggled at Ammy's pronunciation and said, "Yea, I actually got the Wronskei Feint two or three days ago! Didn't want to try it too soon. Learned from experience to wait a little after injuries, but I still have a lot to improve upon. Have you been flying yet? I saw Ginelle teaching you some stuff one day."

A small laugh came from her, followed by a grin, ”Congratulations! I’d love to see you do it sometime—minus my interference of course.” Though her grin didn’t falter Amelia wasn’t sure how to answer her question. She flew to the Headmistress’s office without any trouble, except for the landing. But she knew she probably should get more than a day’s lesson. ”Well…a little, but I probably should get more lessons—you know from Professor Dream?” She scratched the back of her head nervously. That was if Headmistress Sing allowed her. To her, her course load was full enough that one more little class wouldn’t matter. But she’d be getting Muggle Studies and the Headmistress might not approve of her dropping Defense Against the Dark Arts. She sighed, it would be a long conversation with the ridiculous woman. She’d have to plan her speech carefully.

Sparrow was now in a great mood and grinned with Ammy. She giggled a little again and said, "Thanks you're still welcome at the pitch anytime" She wondered why Ammy was a little tentative at answering her question. She wondered if anything had happened about her flying and she said, "That is cool. Flying isn't for everybody, but if you enjoy it is something to think about for travel or just some entertainment. Did you enjoy what you learned so far?" She was just trying to keep a conversation going till Professor decided to start the lesson. She also was really interested. If Ammy enjoyd it maybe she would try out in the future for any empty spots that would need filling.
