Battle For The Skies
The missiles, coming at the ship at four times the speed of sound, each one from a different angle, would be rather hard to bring down even with the right tech, using mages, beam cannons, and WWII style manned turrets, it would be next to imposible.
Nevertheless, if by some amazing probability thisinterception of the missiles was managed, the fighters, which always stayed far out range of the sky ship, would simply break off, manuever, and come at it from another direction. The lightning would have little chance to hit anything, as the fighters passed at speeds approaching Mach 4 and knew how to protect their craft, which were built to fly during heavy storms and even take a few shocks if need be. The question was, from where.
But first, the bombers and their fighter escort which flew above the clouds, so nothing could really be rained on them, the full load would be dropped accurately via info from advanced recon forces scoping out the attack from the a high point along the approach.
Tight formations would be decimated and sent into dissarray as fire rained upon the undead hordes. Flying way above the clouds, a YMIR AirDrop APT would have a bead on the position of the Draconis from the stealth fighters. One Massive Ordinance Air Blast would be dropped dead center of the horde's main formation, destroying everything within a 400 meter radius from where they struck the ground, and destroying fifty percent of the opposing force as far as 900 meters out. Another would be dropped on the left flank on the return.

Random Stranger #36 It wasn't fancy in it's entrance. No, not really. Where the team of super ninja whatchamacalits had burst through the roof, She strolled through the front door, wiping gunk off of the blade that had been on the top of the staff, but now was used as a sword. She assumed some sort of attack would be forthcoming, so she was still prepared to whack someone in the nuts if need be. She'd give a low whistle, waiting for some kind of response. She would be making her entrance just as the said team of "Super Ninja Whatchamacalits" were getting ready to dispatch with a locked door. If they didn't notice her immediatly, the guard would, and would mistake her for the one that broke the glass. "Freeze now!" he yelled, not giving her time to obey before firing his Desert Eagle unscrupulously.

KillerSumo Still, it was a rather thin door~ And it was busted clean through by the first two operatives in front. Alpha team simply kept on moving through, heading towards the nearest door that led further into the building. Their watches pulsed steadily, continuously pointing them in Melissa's general direction. KillerSumo Someone had the bright idea of placing sentry guns at random intervals throughout the ventilation shafts. At the end of the shaft, an automated gun poked down with a brief buzz as it activated, the barrel of a 7.62mm machine gun would stare down the man unlucky enough take point for half a second... Which was enough to shoot the damn thing out. The man on point fired three 40mm FMJ rounds on instinct, handily disabling the sentry gun as Bravo moved steadily onward. The part about the fan was sure enough- they simply continued moving forward, thus far without contention.

It barely had time to dodge out of the way. "AWWW COME ON. Freaking zombies and then a trigger happy rent-a-cop." Extending pole with a flick of her wrist, She'd dance in with the grace of a circus preformer, using the as one might a strip pole, managing the grace to balance it firmly enough to spin along it, sending her quickly to her opponent. She didn't kill him, mind, Over extending herself to his extended firing arm. If he didn't engage in hand to hand, She'd break his arm at the Elbow, and toss the gun away, giving him a boot to the gut. "I ain't here to rob you, or snip your goods. Just holding the door for a friend."

((What time of day it is right now?))
Mach 4 was still nowhere near light speed, which is the speed lightning travels at. It was still possible for one or two to get struck, at least. The turrets on the Draconis were not your ordinary turrets. Empowered with crystals charged with arcane energy, the turrets were firing rounds that looked similar to a magic missile spell. They didn't need to aim, since the streaking balls of energy would unerringly home in on their targets. The only problem was that they did little damage, and so depended upon the accumilitive whole to actually destroy anything.
Draconis would explode from the center as the ordinance was dropped upon it. Engulfed in flames, the ship began it's crashing descent to the desert floor. The remaining undead forces were scattered and disorganized, no longer under anyone's control.
The engines of The Storm Over Gaia fired at full boost, sending the airship toward the city as fast as it could go - roughly 600 miles per hour. It's own Dragon Cannon began to charge up, crackling with electricity, while turrets fired at the speedy fighters and mages used every spell in their repertoire to fend off missiles and the like. The clouds surrounding the airship would dissipate as it swooped down over the city toward the corporate building. The airship would fire a beam of crackling electrical energy, streaking down from the sky to strike at the heart of the city.

The sentry gun team bravo had dispatched had extended from the wall and then droped a gun down from the holder, the barrel of which needed time to extend. Thus the delay.
They would have three options, one a long duct leading to 2C PF. There was a short duct that would take them to 1B and 1C respectively, and another duct that would take them to them to 1D and 1F respectively. How could they tell, simply, they were labeled.
Problem, the security techs in ring four were expecting them. Heavy steel bars would drop across the labeled ducts, including the outake duct they had just entered through. The fan room, on the ceiling, what apeared to be a lighting panel held a hidden detection device, so even if they remained completely on the move, a number of them would be caught in the fan room, at least temporarily. To make matters worse, each of the other three ducts dropped a sentry gun simultaneously, the gun to the front covered by the fan, the other two at its sides.
Alpha group would only have one problem, sentry guns that could see them despite the optical camo. The public relations office opened up into a sentry gun hell once they were midway down the hall way to the door that led into the corporate office & law section of ring one. Ten Sentry guns positioned in the main halls and corners of the office space dropped and spit 7.62mm fire. Three of the guns were on the hall in which team alpha travelled, one in the center, two on the ends. But the others had a clear line of fire over the cubicles. No other defenses here, there had been no time to position any.

The airship would fire a beam of crackling electrical energy, streaking down from the sky to strike at the heart of the city. ((Approaching Midnight, I would say it was dusk when your diplomat arrived at the checkpoint. Approximately)) A few of the fighters had to break of the attack, their electrical systems scrambled from lightning strikes which almost seemed purposefull. The remaining three stealth fighters came at the Storm from behind, taking turns firing homing missiles at the ship. As the first wave of bombers turned back, a fresh crew of five FS fighters would come at the Storm from above, launching a rain of Air to Air missiles before breaking off to go above the clouds. The FS fighters, one taking damage from the Storms Air -Defense fire and lightning strikes, would break off, replaced by a fresh squad of F-15S fighters, firing their ordinance at the main cannon. The objective now was to bring the storm down before it reached the pentagon. The second bombing wave would be called off until this was achieved.

As it was on the Draconis, so too on The Storm would there be mages scrambled to cast their spells, casting fireballs, lightning bolts and chain lightning spells; erecting invisible barriers for the missiles to smash into. Several missiles would get past the defenses, striking along the deck and one of the huge wings. Turrets turned to fire at the F15s, the cannon firing and taking out what missiles were in the air in before it, streaking through the air to strike a portion of the building. Wherever the beam ultimately hit, it would give off a small electro-magnetic pulse, due to the volume of power and voltage behind the electrical beam.
The airship took more damage as it continued moving toward the city. It looked like it was on a suicide run.
The bombers would suddenly come under attack, the wings being torn at by large, serpentine, shadowy figures that seemed to have descended from the night above. Six ancient shadow dragons swooped swiftly through the skies, spreading dragonfear and death upon any fighters unfortunate enough to get caught by a swiping claw or a slapping tail. The night made them hard to see, as they blended in with the gloom, and they gave off no heat signatures.

The Ymir Airdrop was the only thing big and slow enough to get caught by the dragons, the expensive plane would indeed have its wings torn off, the engines exploding under the Dragon's Talons.
The rest of the air formation scattered at full speed, returning to secure bases in western Gaia and avoiding the wrath of the dark dragons. Five FS fighters remained in the skys. The dragons gave no heat signatures, but the air-to-air missiles were switched to laser guided mode, computer assisted aiming. Much would come down to the skill of the elite pilots of these stae-of-the-art machines. They would manuever out of range of the dragon's melee, and attempt to get a kill with missiles and laser cannon. They feared not death, all were most fanatical of converts, willing to die for Ymir and his national namesake.
As for the Storm, one of the F15s would come straight at it from the left side with the intent of firing on the main cannon. The 30mm Vulcan pounded the charging cannon unmercifully on the approach but failing to ascend and hitting the Air ship dead center in an unintentional kamikazee attack. The rest of the F15s broke engagement, as the ship was too close to the pentagon.
Below, the hatches of the pentagon opened, and the missile launcher no more than ascended then a hail of Svendari Missiles blasted what remained of the storm. Fifty missiles had been fired at the one target within seconds. The launchers that had revealed themselves quickly descended back into their hatches for reloading.

The Storm Over Gaia exploded from the multiple missiles, and would come crashing down into the city, and a portion of the corporate building. Those undead who had not been destroyed by the explosions - which weren't many - would come out of the fiery wreckage, before the ship's engines would explode.
Much to the skill of the elite pilots, these dragons had been flying their entire lives. The only problem with using laser-guided munitions was that the laser needed to stay on the target, which needed to be seen to be painted. A difficult problem for a target that couldn't be seen from afar, nor stayed very still. Even more difficult when the shadow dragons use their Shadow Blend ability, and becoming totally concealed.

It smiled, threw up her hands. "Yay. Don't worry, I'm not gonna cause problems." She'd then proceed to draw a shotgun from her pant leg, a hand holding the Breech Configuration Remington steady as she watched down the path, where the camo'd troops came into trouble. "So what's going on here?" She'd ask quietly, Holding her shotgun over her forearm. "Big shindig, or just alot of party crashers?"

Those undead who had not been destroyed by the explosions - which weren't many - would come out of the fiery wreckage, before the ship's engines would explode. The hit would crumble a bit of the concrete superstructure and shake a section of the building. At the main point of impact the first layer of Armor protecting the structure would appear. Much of the cement would be sooted from the fire. What few undead managed to get out of the ship would be cut down by infantry forces dispatched to defend the area. Fire patrols protected by infantry units would be dispatched to put out the infirno caused by the Storms crash. Quote: Much to the skill of the elite pilots, these dragons had been flying their entire lives. A difficult problem for a target that couldn't be seen from afar, nor stayed very still. Even more difficult when the shadow dragons use their Shadow Blend ability, and becoming totally concealed. The FS fighters broke off as arrays of flares were fired from the pentagon, lighting up the sky bright as day. Using the flares to spot the dragons, the missile bays opened again, this time releasing a barrage of 100 Svendari missiles at the most available target among the shadow beasts. With multiple missiles esploding nearby, some were going to hit the beasts and carve some pieces out of them. Even more so, because the pentagon wasn't the only missile launcher in Yaits city, the launchers along the western cliffs opened fire as well, releasing a barrage of two hundred Svendari missiles altogether into the now lit night sky.
