"Probably making dinner by this time," Earendil replied. "It's getting towards evening ..."
They'd been quite a while at Halmir and Arthael's house, and then with Daeron, and then Elberon ...
Still holding Lin by the hand, he led her through the dining room and towards the kitchen.

"It doesn't seem like that much time had passed," Lin commented.
Of course they had filled the time talking to people and catching up with friends. Time tended to pass by pretty quickly when one kept busy. There was also just so many other people to visit still.
Heading into the kitchen area, Lin called out, "Haradhel?"

Haradhel was indeed in the kitchen, working at the counter, and when she heard her name being called out she turned around and smiled. "Welcome back. Is there something you need?"
Earendil grinned widely. "Actually, yes," he said brightly. "We were hoping that we could ask you for a change of accommodations."
Haradhel's eyes lit up. "Does that mean what I think it means?" she asked eagerly.

Lin chuckled and smiled widely, "We're married, if that's what you're thinking."
It sounded like people had been waiting for them to say that.

Haradhel laughed and clapped her hands together like a child who had just received a gift they'd been hoping for for a long time. "It is!" she exclaimed happily. She hugged Earendil first, and then Lin. "Congratulations!"
"Thank you," Earendil chuckled.

"Thanks," Lin laughed as she hugged Haradhel back.
While she knew that Haradhel (and no doubt others) would be happy by such news it still felt good to know they were happy about it.
"We're hoping to change rooms and start Miyuki getting use to the idea of having her own room. Actually with all those tails I probably should have done that sooner, but it was never a good time on the last trip."
It didn't help that Miyuki curled up in her sleep, the only reason why Lin never got knocked out of bed was because it was under her wing and she was often against something to keep her on the bed.

"That sounds like a good plan," Haradhel agreed. "Well. Ah ... how are we going to do this now ..."
She thought about it for a moment, going back to the counter to keep working on dinner. "If you could wait about a half hour," she said thoughtfully, "Shiara will be coming ... she can help with making up a bed for you. I would, but I've already started making dinner and if I stop now it will burn."

"That's fine," Lin assured Haradhel, "We can wait, and maybe Miyuki could have my old room, since we already went there to leave our bags, so she might associate that with her room better."
At least Lin hoped, and it was one less bed to make.

"Makes sense," Haradhel agreed. "All right, we'll do it that way."
"What should we do until then?" Earendil questioned.
Haradhel grinned. "Pack your things up again? I know you've gotten quite comfortable in your room, but you'll have to move it eventually, might as well get ready for that."

Lin giggled at that and looked at Earendil, "And I haven't unpacked yet, my bag is the only thing there."
Sure there were the things she collected over the years from all her visits to the Borderlands but they were childhood things and she was sure they could stay in the room for Miyuki.

"Easy for you, then," Earendil quipped. "you're just going to have to help me, then."
He grinned and squeezed her to himself, then nudged her towards the door. "Come on, we want to get as much of this done as we can before Miyuki comes back."

"Yes yes," Lin nodded as she followed him back to his room, "I'm sure we can get moved quickly enough to get it done before Miyuki comes back."
Though she didn't get a good look at his room so didn't know how much stuff he had by now.

"Especially since Elberon is the one keeping her occupied," Earendil grinned, "and they're working with horses. I wouldn't put it past Miyuki to get him to give her a lesson while she's in there. Valar know you would have, if you had the opportunity."
He'd heard some stories about her as a child here, and he was amused by them.

Lin at least had the good grace to blush. Chances were she felt the only reason why she got away with it was because she was an oddity, a kid that always wanted to learn.
"You've been hearing stories haven't you?" she asked him wryly.

Earendil looked down at Lin, and when he saw her blush he laughed. "Yes, yes I have," he chuckled. He leaned down and kissed her blush, once on each cheek.
"Just wait," he winked at her. "Give it a few years, and it will be Miyuki they tell stories about."
