I have couple questions about designing powered characters. Just to clear stuff out. ^^

When designing knight's outfit is it that we pick two colors of the uniform color palette or is it that we pick one color and the other one is white? I'm asking this only because while there is instructions of picking only one color many knights have few (if any) of white in their uniform.

Mouse: That bit you're referencing sounds like it's leftover from the form for an old faction, the Cavaliers. That said you can do either since any Knight can have white as part of their uniform! As long as you're following the theme and staying within range of the palette, it's all good.

Should Dark Mirror senshi have darker uniforms and/or attacks since they are chaos-aligned?

Mouse: Dark Mirror senshi have black bodices and a transparent overlay that hangs down from their front. Attacks should follow the power sphere; how 'dark' they are is up to you.

Thank you in advance of answers! <3

I have a question regarding gold customs!

If we're staying with our artist that we got the initial custom from, and we get the second million for the second stage, can we PM the colorist and pay them when we get the money, and just have the art for when we hit rp requirements? Or do we have to hit rp requirements before we can PM the colorist to work on the growth?

Sorry if this seems jumbled. XD I tried to phrase it right.

Nessy: After a lot of consideration we're going to say no to this. You're given the option to front-load all your stages when you initially custom your character or wait and get stages as your character hits requirements. If you have trouble keeping that kind of gold lying around we suggest starting a trade with a mule or a trusted friend to keep the money out of sight and out of mind. This really is mostly based in keeping things organized and keep our artists going at a steady pace.

didn't see any specific clarification on this while search, but maybe I just missed it.

Either way, about sailor scout transformations -

If a character is a civilian, then transforms into a sailor scout, do onlookers get a 30second transformation sequence show of glitter overlay, suggestive ribbons, and dance routine? Or would it just be 'clark kent' /cameracut/ 'omg-the-person-standing-there-is-in-different-clothes-and-totally-awesome'?

Is there an official shop stance on this?

Nessy: There is definitely a lot of bright lights and glitter to be sure! Probably not thirty seconds of twirly twirly flash but a good several seconds absolutely. Think more of the abridged transformation sequences from the anime rather than the long ones.

HOWEVER it is probably too bright/glittery to see any real body parts. Sorry, can't see your local male senshi naked.

I've been partaking in the dangerous past-time known as "thinking" and have a couple questions. : D

About Rainbow Crystals & Senshi:
I know senshi prince/sses have a total of four attacks: starter senshi, upgraded super, eternal, and prince attack. Let's say that prior to becoming a prince/ss they gain a rainbow crystal. Do they then have five abilities to select from, or does the rainbow crystal upgrade into their royal crystal?

Akina: They would not have two crystals. In the past, we asked that people who had rainbow crystals to pass on their crystal to someone else (with GM approval so it's not like... THIS IS MAH BESTEST BUDDY!) after they inherit their fourth stage crystal. So, no, it doesn't upgrade, but we don't allow people to have multiple crystals either. Pay it forward.

Is it possible to use a rainbow crystal to "power" some senshi-planet technology and still be able to recover it? ie, powering a crystal on a space trip takes up its "charge" for the day.

Akina: If you had something specific in mind, PM it to the mule. This would be a case-by-case kind of thing.

Senshi Homeworlds:
Is it possible to "revive" a planet? ie, haul one bag of fertilizer to it every couple of weeks and work it into the soil?

Akina: Homeworld revitalization is on the table for GM discussion. At this time, large scale revitalization has not been possible. You might be able to get marginal success though with a plant or two, but that's it for now.

Is it possible to grow Earth-plants on a homeworld as long as the homeworld's climate is hospitable towards it? ctrl+f'd and found my answer:
Quote:
However you could definitely try growing Earth-indigenous plant life on your planet. Seems like a fun hobby!

Is it possible to get the Outerspace thread upgrade with this stuff? biggrin

Akina: When we fully hash out things, yes! They aren't totally finished right now though.

Is there any limit on what sort of things we can't grow? Obviously Merope isn't going to start growing 100-foot-tall venus fly traps and import them back to Earth to feed Negas to. Nor is he going to magically have his own successful agriculture farm. But: plants grown shouldn't be able to do anything but look pretty/be a source of food, right?

Akina: Right. He isn't going to be able to re-cultivate a magic vine that turns into a pony that can be ridden. If you had something super specific in mind, you could PM it in, but in general, keep it simple.

Theeen to be sure: all current plant-life on senshi planets are 100% dead and no amount of fertilizer/water will bring them back, yes?

Akina: For now, yes! Magical herbology is still too mysterious. If people have very specific ideas in mind, they are welcome to PM it, but we are being restrictive about this right now.

Thank you! biggrin

If I have a character from way a long time ago that I never played (Pythia) and want to change her senshi name to a different celestial object before I start playing her, can I do that? Her sphere wouldn't change, just her Sailor Whatever name.

Nessy: This is fine if you have not played the character before and it does not overlap with a current character. Please make sure to submit it to the Revisions thread, thanks!

Vamps

4-Are the planets devoid of life in all respects? Several of us players have RP'd that water or some form of water (ice, hurrr) are on the planets. As well as light. If a senshi were to arrive with gardening tools and seeds, could they try and grow new plants? Would they be successful or, would the plants all just die?

Mouse: They CAN have plant life or natural features, just no people or animals. Plants are pretty hardy to grow back after disasters strike for the most part. <3

I am confused between the answer to this question and the answer to marushii's question. Does this mean that if all the plants are dead on a homeworld you cannot bring them back to life, but if plants grew back on their own they can exist? Or are you implying that there is little to no plantlife anywhere on any of the homeworlds?

Clarification please?

Akina: If all the plants on your planet were wiped out, it would be very difficult to coax them back to life. We don't want people regrowing their planets with the old plant life and, more or less, recreating the planet. The idea is that you could bring fertilizer and stuff and grow a flower on your planet. If you wanted to actually bring back magical/long-dead life on your senshi's planet, you'd just need to shoot the mule a PM. It isn't out of the question. We are just trying to tread a line currently as we hash out planet revitalization. If a few plants came back on their own, that is okay. But for the most part, all of these planets would have been devastated by chaos. Plantlife will be minimal if any survived at all. I hope this clarifies it.

How does one go applying for a job in Destiny City?

I don't know if I just need to ask the mule to be added to the list of hires or if I'd need to RP out a scenario of taking in a resume, interview etc.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Tefla

Nessy: There is no application required you are welcome to say you work wherever you like as long as you are not suddenly the Mayor of Destiny City. If you would like to be added to that hugely outdated list you can PM the mule and smack Nessy, reminding her to clean that thing up.

Been wonderin a while and none has been able to give an answer on AIM so....
How is it the DMC senshi were able to get to the surrounding, a place none of them had ever been to before? Wasn't it that they had same limitations as negas in terms of where they could mirror walk? I'm just really baffled how they managed to show up there at all. Did I miss something? @A@'

Nessy: Remember Mal? That gal who became a DMCer? She was bound to know where some mirrors were. As well as sometimes we just have to bend things so everyone can have fun in a meta. They have to expend quite a bit of energy and cannot enter the Surrounding without asking permission from the GMs with a clear idea of what they'd like to do.

So while yes it's not something they can normally do it's something we're controlling and on top of. Have faith that we have a plan!

Akina: I never got a message on AIM from you, if you sent one to me -- so apologies there. I could have clarified this quickly for you.

Just as Negas ambushed the Surrounding with monsters, they were able to drop off mirrors too -- like the one hidden at the base of the Mirror Pools (or how the monster that rolled in had a mirror on it). So Ares was familiar with the mirror that was placed, which was enough for her to gain entry. It isn't being familiar with the location. It is being familiar with the mirror itself.

But again, echoing what Ness said, this kind of bending was done to facilitate the plot and to allow DMCers to be awakened. And then Jett and Mal could have shown up anywhere and everywhere they saw a mirror at the Surrounding after their awakening. They can bring other DMCers with them to give them knowledge of that mirror too so that they can also travel there. It's not like Ares will be showing up at the Surrounding randomly for tea. It was a convention of the metaplot, like civilians being there, or Negas piloting through space, or any of the other things that happened in the meta. No need to lose sleep over it.

Question: Since the DMC is actively looking to corrupt Senshi, does that mean it's technically an option ((Obviously with Akina's ok)) to look to corrupt existing senshi (who aren't chibi's), or does IC corruption technically only apply to new characters?

Mouse: With a good plot and Akinas consent it's definitely a possibility! Requiem, Leto and Gaia were all normal senshi (well, Gaia's a parallel) who corrupted as their Super upgrade.

Akina: Ares actually prefers to convert existing senshi over bringing up new ones! So definitely. It is also easier to get this than to corrupt to the Negas, since DMCers are supposed to be more common than corrupt senshi. If you wanted to transition a character, you would submit a plot request to the mule. We prefer to do this when you are growing anyway. So if you are about to grow super/eternal and you know you want this, it would be a good idea to keep it in mind. If you are already eternal, it would be another stage of art so it would require some sort of payment... I think? Or some insanely bitchin' plot. BUT YES. Ares would love to convert an existing White Mooner.

I don't know if this has been answered already -- but concerning past life: If Senshi X goes to planet X, can he only see memories that happened on planet X? Or can he see memories of his own memories of when he visited other planets? <3

Akina: Senshi can only regain memories on their own planets, and your character will only regain memories of things that happened on the planet. It isn't until you hit 4th stage that 100% of your memories are available to you.

Or would he have to go to that planet to regain any memories? Although I'm pretty sure it stated before that you can only see memories on your own planet -- but please verify! <3

Akina: Correct! Memories are only triggered on your own planet.

And secondly, did planets have wars with each other? I assume that they weren't all cordial to each other -- and they may have had internal conflict (on the planet) but is it possible that also fought each other? :x

Akina: It is very possible! Differing ideologies always result in tension. So you could certainly plot this out. When Chaos began to attack, you can assume they were unified to resist it, but that doesn't mean those planets weren't secretly looking for a way to undo each other the entire time.

I'm just a bit curious... why the civilians that weren't in school, now suddenly in schools when they come back? Also, what's the highest age this school teaches?

Nessy: Everyone was shuffled into school but you are under no obligation to stay there. If you're over the age of 18 you are welcome to drop out of school but please realize you do not get free art to reflect this change.

The school's limit is somewhere around 22/23, the age you would generally graduate from a four-year college.

QUESTIONS THAT WILL PROBABLY BE ANSWERED IN TIME:

With the DMC ditching out to Mirror Space, how are the Negas getting back to the Rift from Alkaid? Seems like the Negas might take that as a betrayal, abandoning them on the battlefield like that.

Akina: IC perceptions of the DMCs actions are, of course, up to you. It's all political intrigue, yo. But yes, there is a plan. Ares just popped into the Nega thread to prepare to start shuttling people out.

Is it the perception of those on the Surrounding that the Negaverse was actually DESTROYED along with the youma?

Akina:: This would be an IC choice all players would have to make on their own.

I'm assuming we'll have a post-failure Meeting in the Rift, as well. xD

ALSO: What's the status on civvie identities? A lot of those upgrades happened in front of witnesses, and they have a list of everyone who upgraded, since they were on the missing person's list? Since the civvies haven't all gained new identities...

Akina: Anyone who was turned into a DMC senshi or Chronos knight out of the rainbow road is still 100% safe. No one saw who they were. If the transformation was witnessed, then they will be protected with a glamour. So no one would recognize them as a civilian. Their families would likely still think they were dead, missing, etc. It's up to however the people want to play it. This only affects a small number of the winners though.

Just some questions about nit-picky things <3
(all of this pertains to meta)

for powered civs that entered, do we need stamp approval?
IE, does Layton Quince, Peklo Page need to be stamped, or do I just create her journal now.
Akina: Correct. Everyone must be stamped.

second verse, near-same as the first
for NON-powered civs, IE one from the big civ drop off, do we need stamp? Or is the meta contest approval our "stamp"? (cause I notice some people were RPing without stamps, and wanted to know if I could jump in too! <3)
Akina: They are fine to RP unless a GM contacts them personally to ask them to change something. We accepted 100% of people who applied so there might be a few that need tweaks. If you are concerned about anyone's profile, please PM the mule.

HITS Questions!

Is this school open for quest characters to go to?

Akina: Yep!

Can other existing students transfer there?

Akina: It would need to be approved by the mule. Shoot over a PM if you are interested.

>.> The school starts at grade 7, yes (or did I magically misread that)? So, lets say next year Sam is in 7th grade, would he have to stay at Knightside another year or could he go to HITS instead of waiting for 9th grade to attend the high schools?

Akina: HITS serves seventh grade and up. I'd have to check with Natsu on how the templates would work. He might have to grow up on to the 12+ aged template, which is the normal student one. This would also need a PM though when the time came to make sure it was all kosher.
