"Doesn't make it any less embarrassing..." Riley said, borrowing a page from Van's book and trying to main a mature facial expression while his cheeks flushed a bit.

"Well, get used to it." Mala said in a teasing manner before she began to run on ahead once more. She was certainly full of energy, wasn't she?

"Hmmm....What's the brother/sister equivalent of a 'mama's boy' I wonder...?" Van mused teasingly as he and Riley jogged a bit to catch up with Mala.

Mala continued on running for a little bit longer, letting out some of the pent-up energy she had held while walking for so long. Before long, she slowed down once again, satisfied for the moment.

Riley simply responded to Van's teasing by whistling 'Boy and Girl, Sittin' in a Tree.'
Van's cheeks became a little tinted as he smacked Riley in the back of the head.

Mala, being ahead of the two, didn't see Van's smacking Riley. Therefor, she wouldn't start chewing him out just yet.

((Emphasis on 'yet'. XD ))
"I can barely see the house anymore, think we've gotten far enough away from town?" Riley said rubbing the back of his head as he stopped to look back in the direction they came.

{Yup! XD}
Mala stopped, thinking for a moment before nodding. "I should think so. But what should we do about Ceri, though? Do you all think someone should go back for her? Or should we wait here for a few hours and hope she catches up to us?" she asked.

"Let's wait here for a bit. If she's not back within an hour or two, I'll go back to get her." Van said crouching down to let Rincewind down off his back.

"Thanks." Mala said, smiling at Van once more. How glad she was to have a friend such as him. Somehow, it made her feel somewhat guilty that he often helped her out so much and she hardly seemed to do anything for him. Well, aside from getting him out of the ring.

"In the mean time, doesn't this feel familiar?" Riley said as he sat down against a tree.
"I'd make a fire to complete the mood, but I'd rather not lead the entire group of soldiers to where we are." Van said taking a seat as well.

"This sort of does..." Mala agreed with Riley, sitting herself down as well before long. "Oh yeah! We were all staying the night in the forest for the first time together and you taught me how to make a fire without magic!" she recalled after a moment of thought.

"I was more talking about the camp outs in general, but yeah, first campfire too." Riley said with a bit of a chuckle.
((The emphasis on 'together' confuses me...))

{They've all been camping more than once, and I doubt they've only camped together. If I just put "the first time they camped" I would feel like I wasn't being as accurate, and therefor, I would've mentally stabbed myself. >.< Not literally, I'm not emo.}
Mala kept her smile as she brushed a stray strand of reddish blonde hair out of her face before she would respond. "That one was the most memorable, since it was my first time." Of course, she was reffering to camping. However, if she wasn't careful with her wording, it might sound like something else entirely to someone who wasn't previously listening to their conversation. (Awkwardness potential intentional. XD)

((Yeah, no emo Anime. x3 And this of course means that I too must attempt awkwardness potential as well. XD ))
"Good to know you've stopped being so sheltered, no offense. Most people aren't big on roughing it, but it can be fun once you get used to it." Van said stretching as he folded his hands behind his head and looked up at the sky. Traveling with Riley had been fun, but it wasn't nearly the same as having Mala around too.
