"Sounds gut!" Una said with a smile. "Ill let Freja know you vill be coming." Una said cheerfully. Not that Freja would care. Freja enjoyed all customers that came in. As long as they bought something. Though she did still tend to get overwhelmed when there was a customer. But thats why she had hired Una, now hadnt she? Una, unlike River, didnt shove her face full of food until she was going to implode. Pushing away her plate Una nodded to River. "Alex is ein gut cook, aber i ztink im done. ist too much even fur me." Una giggled lightly. "Also i schould let you get back to your vork und i schould do die same." Una said gently, she pulled out a cute bat wallet and paid for the dinner(s)?. After all River had just started working, and Una didnt NEED the money she got from the Magic shop.. it just kinda helped her get out on her own.

Alex shot Keith a strange look. He had no idea what the man was talking about. Of course, if he had been paying more attention to things, he would have known the name of the guy who took over the inn after the Valentine family fell off the face of the earth, but he had been too focused on his own personal things. Once he got the green light, he turned his brain off regarding inn-related matters. But instead of bringing up the fact that he didn't know what he was talking about, he decided to shrug, make a conceding noise, and was done with it.
He glanced back up again when Keith asked for some ingredients. Yeah, that was a practical way of doing it. "Yeah, sure, no problem," he nodded, walking off in the direction of the refrigerator and the pantry, which were conveniently close to each other. A few moments later, he emerged, holding the requested ingredients. Setting them down on the counter next to Keith, he took a step back, looking at the man curiously. "Your technique is good. Did you pick that up in culinary school?" he asked with a small smile. Keith looked to be younger than River, probably around Elliot's age. He was young, so he couldn't expect that he had much experience. Still, with his lowered expectations, he was kind of impressed.
River returned Una's smile with a grin, before thanking her cheerfully. Oh, how exciting! She couldn't wait! She just had to make sure that Alex didn't know. He'd probably be so embarrassed, he'd yell at her! Oh, he was funny when he was angry~ "Yeahh, I'm pretty done, too," she let out a satisfied sigh. "Ahh, you sure? Well, I guess it's a good idea, to go back to work... I had fun, though, 'kay?" she stood up to see Una out. She felt bad for letting her pay like that, but she could get it the next time~

"Ja dont vorry about ist. Und ja i need to. I dont vant to be fired." Una laughed lightly. "Let me know vhen you have off next, ve schould go schopping, or to die grindhouse. Someztingt." Una said with a smile as she got up. She let River see her out only to turn to the girl. "Aufviedersehen River. It means gut bye." Una added with a light chuckle before she pulled River into a friendly hug, goodbye. Releasing the girl Una smiled gently. "I had fun too, now get to vork so ve can eat heir more." Una smiled before she waved goodbye and headed down the street for a nice walk in the warm weather. -exit Una-

The moment Alex came back from the kitchen, Keith took some butter and started to melt it in another pan he had preheated while the blue haired man had went to get the items he had asked him to get. As soon as the butter was melter, he added in some flour, mixing them both together, making a roux. Once it was done, he added the cream and the wine, and brought the heath up, waiting for it to boil. As for the other vegtables, he brought the fire lower, letting thm stand there hot, without cooking.
]"Uh? My technique?" The boy asked, a bit comfused as he moved to check on the the fish. Still at least five minutes, good. He grabbed five asparagus and cutted the steam off before throwing them in with the salmon. "Oh! You mean the cutting. No, I learned that through self-mutilation. You'd be amaze the skills you pick up while trying not to slice an artery." Because damn, those things could bleed. Not that he had ever sliced one... Well, not since Conor, but that didn't count. They were kids.
When he came back to his sauce, it was finally at a low boil. He whisk it a bit, then poured it over the vegetables that had been resting, then whisking that mixture while the salmon finished cooking. "Seriously, cooking school was fun and all, but some time it felt like such a waste of ******** time... like deserts. We should have skpped them all togehter. They have pastries and baking schools, why should I had to leard that" Obviously, he wasn't really good at making deserts and had just pinned it down as them being boring and him not making an effort. He then grabbed a plate and went to get the salmon, placing it on the plate, as well as the steamed aspargus. "I mean, seriously, you barely use a ******** knife while making them. It's just boring." He said with a shrug before grabbing the skillet with the sauce and pouring over the fish. He then pushed the Salmon plate (with Asp instead of Broccoli D<) toward Alex. "So, do I pass the test?"

...He was joking, right? He had to be joking. No, Alex was certain that he was joking. But for some reason... he couldn't laugh. He couldn't even crack a smile. All he could do was stare at Keith's back uncomfortably. It sounded like a joke, but if it was... Keith had a killer delivery. And so the older man just stood there, unsure of what to say. That is, until Keith started to rant about desserts. "Yeah, it's a pain, but sometimes it comes in handy..." Okay, mental note, don't ask Keith to do desserts. Alex wasn't entirely fond of sweets, but he didn't mind baking. It was different, but it was kind of satisfying, seeing the end result.
When Keith finished, Alex examined the plate. "Looks pretty good," he remarked. Taking a step back, he grabbed a clean fork from the dishwasher and cut off a small corner of the salmon, popping it in his mouth. "Tastes good, too." he added after a moment, smiling at Keith. "You pass," he continued, though he hadn't been intending for it to be a test. He was just curious.
"Sounds like a plan," River replied as she saw the girl out. With a hug and a wave, she said goodbye to her friend and watched her walk away until she couldn't see the blonde anymore. And with that, she slipped her hands into her pockets and turned back inside. It was empty at the moment, so she cleared their table, put Una's money into the cash register, and loitered around the front of the front before deciding that she was too bored to stand there, so she slipped into the kitchen, even though Alex had told her not to go back there. "Aleeex, I'm back from my lunch break~" she called into the kitchen in a singsong voice, popping her head through the door. She gripped the doorjamb tightly and looked at Keith in surprise. "Who's this?" she questioned, looking at Keith intently.

"So, since you're not busy and I ******** passed your test, does that mean that I have the rest of the ******** day off?" Which, in Keith language meant that he wanted to get it on with Conor in one of the unoccupied room of the inn... Oh, who was he fooling? They would totally do it in someone's room. Their fault for renting a room in that place. They should have known better. "Or is there something else you want me to do? Or show me something? Or anything really. Speak up, man." He crossed his arms and waited for Alex to say something. He hated waiting around and doing nothing somewhere, when he could wait around and do nothing at his place.

...Okay, so Keith was a little more annoying than Alex had first thought, but whatever. He worked better in quiet, anyway, he didn't need to engage him in any sort of conversation if he didn't have the patience to deal with him. He was just a kid anyway, maybe he'd get a little bit more tolerable after some hard work. "No, you can leave if you want," he replied with a small sigh. "It's quiet here today, so I can handle it all myself." After a moment, he glanced over at River, who was still hanging through the doorway. "Next time, she," he paused to point at River, who let out a squeak as she was acknowledged, "will show you where things are."
River was delighted. "I get to give a tour? Score!" Oh, how exciting! She should start working on it now! Maybe she should make a map, so she could figure out the most productive way to move around the kitchen. ...Not that there was much to see.

Fresh off the boat and with a happy grin on his face, Nicolai slowly made his way down the street pulling a giant toolbox behind him. He was rather eager to find this 'Sleeping Dragon Inn' so he could finally get a good night sleep and so he didn't have to pull this 50 lbs. tool box around anymore, he was sure his arm was about to pop out of its socket from the weight. Constantly looking down at a little map he had gotten on the bought, he did his best to not get in anyone's way while looking like a complete and total tourist. As he progressed through the town, he noticed that none of the shops offered basic repair services. Perhaps his obsession with repair would help the people of this town just enough for him to become a permanent resident. The thought of living here made him grin even more. This place was beautiful and its seclusion from society made sure that people of Nicolai's trade were far and far-between. Upon finally reaching the inn, he stood and just marveled at the architecture of the structure, "Wow... That's...Amazing...." After standing there for a couple minutes, he finally entered the main building of the inn and softly cleared his throat, "Hello? Is anyone here?" Quietly dropping his tool box and his cloth packed duffel bag to the floor, he looked at the decoration all over the walls, rather pleased to see that the owner of the Inn took the time to actually make their inn visibly appealing.

"I ******** know you, right? Oh, whatever. I'm out of here. See you tomorrow. Unless you want to go drink or something. Then I'll see you at the grindhouse." Didn't mattered if he knew her or not. He took his coat and walked out of the kitchen and then out of the inn, passing next to another man, whom he had never met before. Not like that was new. //exit
