Okay.. I didn't want to make a new thread out of this because it isn't strictly Lolita-related, but how does one address an envelope going to an address in Japan? A couple weeks ago, I sent a letter to the mayor of Hiroshima, but that was through my school, so I didn't have to do the envelope. So, does anyone know how to do it? Do I have to write out the actual kanji or could I just address it using romanji? o.o;;

This response comes a bit late, but yes, you can use romaji - I have Japanese penfriends and their letters got delivered just fine with romaji adresses.
Just use clear letters, they might be not as good at reading all manner of handwriting styles there.

I had a Japanese penpal for a little while. I was learning Japanese, she was learning English. So we wrote our letters in both languages.
