Hal meanwhile was keeping the majority of his focus on Edel and the orange energy that was spreading through the house. He wasn't sure how he could contain any of this...but he was making sure he was ready to act if he needed to. He glanced back at C.J. briefly, then glanced back at the glow. "No evil shall escape my sight..."

A slight sense of relief washed over Carlie as she heard her father's voice, backing her up as she spoke the Oath of the Green Lantern Corps, words she had memorized at a rather young age. She glanced at his own efforts and looked back at her, own, staring into both Natalie's and Rosie's eyes as she worked to keep her construct up so that they didn't enter. But at the same time, she wanted to help her father with his own efforts at keeping the orange energy at bay.
No... He told me to do this, so just do it! the young Lantern thought to herself. "Let those who worship Evil's might..." she continued, her voice gradually growing stronger with every word.

The orange did stop spreading, though it began to brighten around the dolls again. "No? Pity. I shall take my---" There was a hissed inhalation, an almost pained one, and when the voice continued, there was a fair bit more venom in it, though it sounded like it was directed toward some secondary source. "Leave. I have enough to attend to as it is."
The creeping orange light abruptly coalesced around the dolls. "Oh, by the way: if you regain your wise policy of leaving strays where they belong, namely outside your lovely residence, the chances of a return trip on my part become rather less--" Another hiss, followed by a growl. "Less significant, " the voice concluded in a low snarl. "Something to think about. Now..." It wasn't hard to guess that the owner of the voice was probably turning to look at whatever or whoever had hurt it twice in the space of a short conversation. However, there was nothing further to go on; a flash of orange light extended from the dolls, and then they were gone.

Edel stood there and stared at the spot where the dolls had been sitting. The threat seemed to be gone but...her nerves were still buzzing. She kept double checking over and over to make sure that...thing's energy was out of her home.
Hal kept a close eye on the room as well. When he was sure that whatever that glow had been was gone, he looked over to Edel. She still hadn't moved. "Ma'am?'
Edel didn't look back at him, and she still didn't move. But, after a moment's hesitation, she finally replied. "It's....alright. You can stop now..." Edel said quietly. "It's gone."
"What was that?" Hal asked, lowering his arm.
Edel sighed. "That would be.... she began, but stopped and sighed once more. The being seemed to be rather preoccupied, but she didn't want to say anything so soon. There was a chance that it would hear and come back for a moment. "A very uninvited guest. One that I'd been avoiding any kind of contact."
And she had. That spell she was using in the basement for Hades...she knew the relative area where the heroes were. She could have done something about it. But...she didn't. She looked away. Things would work out anyway, there was no sense in her getting stung for doing anything. But...what good that did. That thing came into her home....threatened her child.
.......wise policy of leaving strays where they belong. Was he telling her to leave everyone alone? Or hinting that...
....Black Cat. Had to have been. It made a move right after the girl had left. She didn't even think of checking her for anything. And it sounded like the thing was telling her to not help anyone that knocked on her door. Funny...she didn't think her helping people was doing that much of a difference.
...well...what did she do now? Send everyone out other than the ones she had originally been helping? Then just sit here and quietly go about her own business? Hope that thing was kept busy or didn't find something else of interest in her home?
.........
....came into her home....threatened her child....
"Ma'am?" Hal said aloud.
Edel blinked and shook her head. She gently turned and looked back at him. "Hm? It's alright. It's gone. Everything should be fine now." she said quietly.

Slightly disappointed that her father didn't finish the Oath, Carlie let her barrier drop. "Ring. Power check." she said.
"Power level at 96.0 percent," her ring said, and Carlie nodded, looked to her father.
"What do we do now, Dad? And," she looked to Edel, "are you sure you don't need our help, Ma'am?"

Natalie immediately walked back into the room and to her dollhouses. She didn't get very close to them, but she did give everything a very thorough look over. Taking inventory of what dolls were still there and what were...not.
Rosie cautiously entered the room as well, keeping close to the doorway. She wasn't entirely sure what had just happened, but she didn't want to get too close in case it happened again.
Edel looked back at C.J., keeping part of her attention on Natalie. "No...I'll be fine. Thank you. Even if...he does come back...I doubt either of you would be able to do very much. You'll make better use of your time catching up." she replied, then pause for a beat. "Perhaps elsewhere. There are plenty of small shops outside my home that should still be safe for the two of you."
"You're sure there's nothing we can do?" Hal asked.
Edel looked down at the floor and shook her head. "No...I'll be fine." she replied. A different look glazed over her dark eyes, but it was hard to tell...just what the look meant. Whatever it was, it certainly wasn't as panicked and submissive as it had been before. "I'll take care of this problem myself." she said quietly.

Carlie frowned; she did not want to go hide, she wanted to do what she could to overcome the sort of fear she had felt earlier. A Green Lantern could not allow themselves to let their fears overcome their wills. That was the first lesson her father had taught her about the Corps, even while she was still little.
"Alright. Thank you, ma'am," she said, before she walked downstairs and outside the house with her father. Her aura lit up a bit, and she levitated in the air for a few moments, before turning to look at Hal.
"You know what my favorite thing about being a Lantern is? The flying... Just like you, Dad," she said softly. "So... We're going to fly now. C'mon, Dad." she continued, flying higher into the air.

Hal smiled a bit and levitated himself into the air to follow after her. He took another look back at the house and lingered there for a moment. Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, he flew higher and followed after C.J.

Carlie smiled, and sped up a bit, before deciding to show off by stopping and doing reverse-somersaults. She smiled to herself, before turning out level and reaching her father's altitude and speed.
"I always feel so... free, when I'm flying..." she said conversationally. Then she frowned. "My ring detects something," she said. "In... Gotham, I think."

Carlie nodded slowly, and used her ring to find her way to Gotham. But before she moved, she looked to her father.
"Ten bucks says I get there before you do, Daddy-Dearest," she said with an innocent little smirk. Then, in a flare of green light, she rocketed off toward Gotham City.

Edel waited for the two Lanterns to leave her home completely. Once she was sure that they were gone, she closed her eyes and crossed her arms, inhaling sharply. She let the breath out slowly and paused for quite a few moments before opening her eyes once again. Her denor was calm and collected. Though there was a very...vexed look to her expression.
Slowly, she turned around and walked up to Natalie, who was still going over each and every doll she had in the room. Edel calmly placed a hand on her shoulder. It still startled the woman, and she jumped and twisted her head around to look at her mother.
Edel smiled, but the look in her eyes was still clear. "It's alright, sweety. Just leave your dolls be for a while." she said softly.
Natalie gave her a silent protesting look, but obediently noded and turned to walk out of the room with her mother.
As they came to the door, they were met by a small group of people. Rosie glanced up at Alcina, Reaper, and Danny Ketch, then carefully backed away from the doorway.
Alcina glanced into the room with just about as much nervous expression as Reaper. "Is everything alright?" she asked.
"It's fine." Edel assured. "We had an uninvited guest, but it's been delt with."
Danny gave her a skeptical look, but didn't press the matter. Ghost Rider might be anxious about all the magic in this place and....whatever signature the floor was giving off. But...he had a more important task in mind. "Where's Black Cat?" he asked.
Reaper blinked and looked over at the other man.
Edel smiled a bit. "Gone. She went back to the Sanctum a few moments ago." she said, then paused a moment. The look in her eyes clouded further. "Actually...it might be better if you all head over there."
Danny blinked, then looked as though he was quite nearly ready to facepalm. He was assured that Cat was in here, and had been for a while. No he'd missed her? Go all the way back to the other side of the city.
Reaper on the other hand looked a little...surprised. Though it was for more than one reason. Sure, they'd gotten seperated....going back to the Sanctum was fine with him. Probably smart. But...Edel saying they should leave? Did something really happen in here? And...he didn't quite like the look in her eyes. She looked calm enough. But something behind her eyes seemed...brewing.
Whatever the look was, she shook it off and glanced back up at the group with a small smile. "Well. Why don't we all go back downstairs. I'll send you back over to the Sanctum if you'd lke."
"Thats...alright ma'am. I'll just take my bike back over." Danny replied. Really, he needed to get some fresh air...and his brand was burning up. He wanted to go make sure Cat was taken care of first. But...he'd definately be coming back to investigate this place. Or at least Ghost Rider would be.
Edel noded, and ushered the group back downstairs.

ENTER Green Lanterns and Captain Marvel from KEYSTONE
EXIT Ghost Rider to SANCTUM SANCTORUM
Edel had just shown Danny to the door and was standing outside, watching him drive off when the new group flew down and landed on her doorstep. She frowned, and carefully stepped out of her home completely and shut the door. "Can I help you?" She asked.
Meanwhile, another Edel was showing Natalie and Rosie to a playroom downstairs. One that she thought would be...safe. At least until she was able to focus her attention on them and not...multi-task as much.
Another duplicate was showing Alcina to one of the upper chambers of her home to "recover". Another was still downstairs with Hades. Another still with her "husband", Richard. And yet another with her son, Reaper.

"Yes, ma'am," Captain Marvel said, his tone serious. "There was a malevolent force that attacked your home earlier, or so these two members of the Green Lantern Corps claim. We would like your help in discovering what this presence was, and if it has any connections to all the heroes that have disappeared."
