Tyler stood up and crossed the room to gaze into a mirror on the wall. His eyes still had a bit of blood in them from his burst capillaries.
"Maybe I should have waited until I'd been a vampire for a bit longer than six hours before taking the serum," he remarked aloud as he turned and popped his neck.

Ellie nodded solemnly at his comment. "Yeah, that would have probably been the best idea. If you would've asked, I would've done it... Although I would probably feel just as shaken up as you are now." Looking down at the mug on her hand, she offered it to him. "Would you like some?"

Dancing around her first comment, he asked her what was in the mug. Feeling guilty, he finally brought himself to address what he'd done. "Well...I...didn't know completely what it would do. Theories and ideas on paper are all well and good...but sometimes testing will prove every page of research wrong. I'm sorry...but...I wasn't going to let something bad happen to you, if something bad had to happen." He shook his head, trying to forget the images of himself losing control. "Never again," he promised once more.

Ellie shrugged a bit at the question of what was inside. "It's blood from a transfusion pack warmed in a microwave. I added some cracker crumbs in it as well. It gives it a bit of texture, which I'm normally not into all that much... But never mind that. You're dodging my first comment." When he began to explain, she nodded some more, completely understanding what he was saying. She, in all honesty, you have never asked for a better husband; so willing to do something himself when she's been a vampire for a much longer time.

"Well, neither of us will have to worry about it anymore. I destroyed the formula and the rest of the prepared sample," he said slowly, feeling a slight sense of amusement at hearing such technical terms pronounced with such an accent as his. He took the mug and sipped at the red liquid sloshing around below the rim. "Well...I would have never thought to add crackers to blood." He glanced at his watch, and noted how late it was. He sighed quietly. Oh, well. I guess I'll show them tomorrow. He strode over to Ellie's chair and slipped his hand under hers. After lifting it to kiss the soft, white skin at the base of the knuckle, he wandered over to the bed, and collapsed across the mass of blankets and pillows.

Ellie shrugged a bit before taking the mug back, glad that he at least took a sip; he looked a bit green around the gills, so to speak. And nothing does a vampire better than blood, even a swig of it. Smiling as he kissed her hand and collapsed on their bed, she finished her little meal of blood and crackers, she placed the empty mug on the counter in their equivalence of a kitchen, even though they go down to the mess hall to eat, intending to take that back tomorrow morning. Changing into her nightgown, she crawled next to Tyler in bed and fell asleep with him.

((No. I don't even know what that is. It's from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. There was a scene where Spike, one of the main vampires in the series, was heating blood in a mug and was complaining that there were no more saltine crackers. Then Giles, the librarian/watcher, commented that vampires in there don't eat food. Spike replied that he liked to crumble the crackers in the blood; gives it texture.))

((I never watched Buffy =/ But now i'm stuck waiting until Ty comes back so I'm so bored! I want to use Zshvago so bad T-T Oh and his skin is mostly pale white with patches of rotten skin. Or that's how I always pictured him. Also his head doesn't bulge up it bulges out like a pumpkin was on his head =P))

((Well, call it my artists' interpretation. razz I drew the bulge upward, because that's how the human skull's jointed structure is shaped; a swelling of brain matter grows 'up' before it grows 'out.' And you don't have to stop posting...you could post as Russ and develop his friendship with the other characters. xd we could just say Nicole's asleep.))

Tyler's eyes began to focus as the next morning's light spilled into the room suddenly. He smiled when he saw Ellie still asleep beside him. He leaned down, brushing a lock of hair from her face, and kissed her softly. His body was sore all over from the night's physical stress, but his eyes had returned to their normal color. After a quick inventory of his rapidly healing injuries, he stepped outside in the cold and lit one of his hand-rolled cigars as he watched the hazmat crews cleaning up the Malices' mess. Build crews were already repairing the wall, and reinforcing the undamaged portions as well. As the last ember of the cigar burnt out, he strode back into his family's quarters ((I imagine the living quarters like a set of small houses built all together like apartments)) and checked on Aivi. Still asleep. As he opened the fridge to get out a unit of human blood, he heard a knock at his door. He was greeted by the sight of Russ, also up early.
"Mornin'! Come on in. Just keep kinda quiet, though. The ladies're still sleepin'."
