Alice

Alice’s idle bobbing stopped and she leaned back slightly as the giant literally dragged himself before her. He was still huge, but, being a Kirlia, she was exactly big or normal sized. She smiled though and relaxed for the most part as he spoke, seemingly amused herself as she looked him over. Despite his appearance, he did seem nice. “I see… ‘Shouldn’t be’ though?” Alice gave a puzzled stare. Despite Raith’s time being involved with the guilds, Alice really never saw him at all and if he had popped up in the Hall during some attack or another with her there… well, she obviously wasn’t paying attention to that exactly.
As the two returned to the silent stare off, Alice quickly broke it and looked about her surroundings before her attention reeled back to Raith. “And what are you doing in a place like this? I'm sure there's nicer places to nap...” Her voice trailed off, as if looking for a name she didn’t quite have. Solaris addressed him before, but she was busy finishing up keeping Ver from getting killed by a rapid Shaymin. Some form of concern rang in her tone, though she really wasn’t one to be questioning him. Alice was an overall curious, caring girl. The intimidating Pokemon hardly even seemed to really have an effect on her anymore.

Raith

The ground type's mouth opened before he could properly reply and a yawn that sounded more like a roar escaped him. A single claw waved in front of his mouth as he closed it in a silent 'excuse me' before he settled back down on the ground to eye the small Psychic. He'd dealt with Kirlia before, visiting Aire long ago usually meant he had a small train of them following along in awe of the dragon-esque being that had entered their home. Well, it wasn't surprising considering how withdran and hidden that clan was but...ah...that's not important now.
"Hm, yes. I should be out helping save the world but it seems fine for the moment."
Returning to this creature's last question, he glanced upward thoughtfully as though this was truly something he had to ponder when in reality he was just acting out for show and nothing more.
"Well, Ms. Alice, I dislike crowds. If you haven't noticed I'm rather large, crowds and me don't get along since I have no patience for smaller, slower moving Pokemon and a bit of a temper to boot."
If you know what he means. There was more than one village that had banned him entirely for his actions.
Now, personally, he was waiting for the Kirlia to take off running at this information. He had a tendency to speak before thinking and telling the small creature that he's killed for things as miniscule as crowds was not the best plan.
'Ah, Raith. 500 years and you still haven't learned how to shut up...'

Alice

Alice closed her eyes and turned slightly from Raith as he yawned before promptly turning forward. The motion was hardly out of fear but rather the fact that he yawned in her face. Of course she turned right back to her bright eyed expression and listened idly. She’d sit down to gesture a sort of settling, but making herself even shorter for the Garchomp sounded troublesome. Her expression seemed to neutralize to an extent as Raith spoke, connecting some level of the conversation though she merely released a small breath before smiling again and straightening her posture slightly. “You don’t need to be around crowds~ there’s just more welcoming places… environmentally. I imagine sleeping would be easier.” Alice’s smile was rather quick to fade out as she finished speaking, giving Raith a bit of a curious stare. That Eevee?” It was questionable at first, but as time moved on and the attacks grew more aggressive, the stress of the higher ups around the guild grew clearer. There was a constant tension in the air and though Alice wasn’t the brightest out there, she was still a Kirlia.
She turned in place and her hands drew up behind her head as she began to walk about idly, though hardly more than a few feet from the giant. “It’s kind of scary, you know? I hope some good comes out of it, but I do wish we knew more about the whole situation alone.” Of course that was being hidden. Announcing the situation in detail would cause panic and a lot of people would probably leave. But, did anyone really know what they were even fighting to begin with? She didn’t; not at all. It just made talking from the perspective easier. She heard words and small details about what these things attacking them over and over were but it was so, so simple. Normally she went to her brother for things she never understood, but he avoided this as much as possible and simply claimed he knew as much as he had to. Alice had horrible memories of it all, she lost friends too, but she never really took comfort in Ver’s frequent reminders to leave if you wanted to. She had places to go for sure. Her family was still alive but oddly, the guild was the most comforting.
Alice was silent in the thought, clearly troubled before stopping in place and looking over at Raith again with a smile. “You’ll make sure everything’s okay though, right?” It was all she could really say. There wasn’t much to hide when a detail such as “the world is ending” is in the open and the events that took place so frequently around you only seemed to support it. In her opinion, at least. What could be much worse than that after all?

Raith

Raith's tail thumped the ground in a wag of sorts, he shook his head in amusement at Alice's explainations and finally replied with, "Yes, well, I'm perfectly content on rocks. Being ground type means I can sleep on practically anything and be fine." Not that he could feel what he was laying on given the hard exterior of his hide.
He watched the tiny Pokemon pace with a frown as she spoke and he agreed though not entirely. To inform the guilds would cause a panic. It was better they find out everything when the situation was more under control. Though, chances are it would never be under control until it was ended.
"Give it time, your guildmasters know what they're doing."
When she turned back to addressed him the Garchomp gave an awkward smile at that, smiling wasn't easy to do when every time his mouth opened an array of sharp teeth were visible. Not very welcoming.
It was nice being depended on again, his rogue lifestyle was freeing but also a bit on the lonely side. He was use to having companions, but up until meeting Ivan and the others he'd been roaming about on his own since leaving Rebirth all those years ago.
"Yeah, kid. I'll make sure everythings okay." He cracked his neck from side to side before laying back on the ground so that he was more eye-level with the Kirlia. It was awkward as hell, but manageable.
"You remind me of someone, just a bit. She's changed now, but when she was a Kirlia she was a cheerful little thing as well." The nostalgia ended there, he knew how that story ended and it wasn't happily ever after.
"Name's Raith, by the way." It had just not occurred to him he hadn't introduced himself. He was use to not having to most the time.

Alice

”Nice to meet you, Raith~” That was the name she was looking for. Hearing it triggered the Kirlia’s memory responsively. Alice wandered back to Raith as he spoke and probably sat on the ground before him, not really considering her point prior in reference to staying standing. She continued to give him a hard stare, though only due to the fact she was listening. If you had her attention, it was rather obvious. “If you say so. I do hope they manage before… and kid?” Alice frowned. “I’m 26!” It came out as a whine, being all too common a judgement. Needless to say, she had no idea Raith was over 400 years older than her. She fell silent again, though only for a moment before her head tilted slightly. “I remind you of someone?” A Kirlia too? That was a bit exciting though it hardly showed through the curiosity.
She gave another teeter, this time actually registering the Garchomp’s words. No, she was a Kirlia. Why’d she change though? …Okay, maybe she could do some fixing up herself though the Kirlia hardly found faults outside her inability to do well… much of anything as a psychic. Alice frowned at the idea, not meaning to seemingly direct it at Raith. Alice was a cute Normal type. She really would have to fix that up sooner or later, somehow. She'd get to that eventually but now wasn't the time.

The Garchomp nodded along until the squeal of disapproval was heard and he glanced down at the little Psychic in amusement as she pouted and insisted she was not a child. Well, honestly, if you act like that who would think otherwise? Rather than saying such he let it slid and shifted in his crouch to be accomadate his bulky body. If only there was some sand, that tended to be comfortable to sleep on.
The land shark raised a claw to lazily pick at his teeth as he considered how to respond to Alice's inquiries. She seemed genuinely curious over who she reminded him off and he regretted mentioning it for a moment before realizing the chances of Aire knowing this child and Alice blabbing to the older Psychic about it were slim to none. What could it possibly hurt?
"Ah, well. I knew a girl a while back who was a Kirlia when we first met. Sweet thing, had a bit of a temper and a little on the arrogant side but she was sincere to those she liked." Which was a small handful, but regardless she had the decency to fake 'giving a damn' to everyone else.
"Had a thing for my boy, though not really 'mine' per say. Adopted son more or less. The two hit it off pretty well, the had a...bit of a falling out. She changed around that point. I suppose a broken heart would do that to you, but she's been like that ever since. Though Aire was never the most polite of Pokemon, now she doesn't even both to pretend..."
He sighed, suddenly nostalgic. You try to raise them to understand things and they go behind your backs and do them anyways. Kids never listened and it cost them both so dearly. Raith raised that claw to scratch behind the horned appendage on the side of his head before glancing back to Alice with a less cheerful expression than he'd worn previously.
"That 'better to have loved and lost' thing is a utter nonsense if you ask me."

Alice

Alice listened intently to what she considered a story, smiling and all. Of course her expression progressively saddened with the progression of the story, until going completely blank in a sort of shock at the name. She remained that way both during Raith's silence, then even after he finished speaking. Aire? Really? What a small world. Upon actually hearing the name, Alice backtracked the story with the identity she'd been given, not sure how to exactly respond to it now. Did it much matter though? It's been a long time since then, right? Well. Alice went with that in the end. "You know Aire?" Alice smiled again, both curious and excited. "I met Aire some time ago! I think she's nice. My brother works for her too. I saw them at the guild a few times before actually meeting her." She nodded, recalling her own series of events with the two Gardevoir. Though, her expression did grow neutral again as she fell silent and faded back into thought. So, that happened. What did she do? Saying anything to Aire sounded like a bad idea. She wanted to go tell her she met Raith, but the idea was countered right away as possibly being a bad idea.
"I, um..." The Kirlia blinked, going silent for a moment as she collected her thoughts before nodding. "I won't say anything, it's fine." Not to Aire, at least.

Raith

"...yes, yes I do know her."
Raith stared down at the Kirlia and frowned deeply though the expression wasn't directed at her, rather at himself for being so ignorant.
Ah, well shoot. That'd be his luck too wouldn't it. Her brother...had to be that silver-haired Gardevoir he'd seen before. Well, now the similarities were much more noticeable. Why could he never notice this s**t beforehand?
And now he had to deal with Alice. Eating her would be a shame, she was a cute kid [pardon, adult] and he really didn't have the stomach for fighting a Psychic type on the way down. They never made things easy, his experience hunting Abra made that very clear.
He weighed his options as one would weight favorite colors. Did he like blue with a green tint or green with a blue tint? Eat the kid or trust she keeps her word.
In the end it was too much of a hassle and Alice was saved by pure laziness on his part.
"Whatever, tell her if you like-" She'll kill you then probably "-but leave me out of it." Aire was one of the few Pokemon that made him nervous. Not because he was afraid of her, no. He could kick her a** if it came to it, but what he worried over was her stubborn pride and tendency to get into/cause trouble.

Alice

Alice frowned back at the Garchomp; rather conflicted herself. Saying anything at all probably was a bad idea. Her eyes directed elsewhere as Raith permitted her to say at will, but the latter statement had her biting her lip promptly after. "No, no it's fine. I won't say anything. ... I think I upset Aire last time we met. Somehow." The Kirlia scratched her head as she spoke. She honestly had no idea if she actually did, but it was strange and right after she started up with Anues. It was useless information now, though she felt she knew the older Gardevoir better in some sense.
Alice finally shook her head and looked back at Raith. Yeah, it was better left unsaid. "This event, did it happen a long time ago? ... Aire didn't move on?" Did she ever even try? She frowned again, though she never progressed past a troubled look prior. Alice felt bad for the Gardevoir, though she probably wouldn't meet Aire much out of passing. It was hardly prioritized, it was just a passive connection she had with her brother considering there wasn't much else there. Alice finally hugged her knees to her chest, settling in where she sat.

Raith

The Garchomp flicked his tail absentmindedly, his interest on the topic was slowly dwindling away and it wasn't something he really wanted to discuss as it were. That he even opened his mouth to begin with was starting to form a black hole of regret in his thoughts that sucked up all other rational thought.
Grumbling inwardly he decided to hell with it. She already knew, what's the worse that could happen. Aside from Aire flipping her s**t, but that could be easily controlled.
"It's not something you move on from really. Never should have happened to begin with..." Raith closed his eyes for a second. It had all been his fault mostly. If only he'd paid more attention, he'd have seen what was happening before the inevitable break occured but he trusted them to understand the consequences.
He'd never really explained what would happen, not wanting to scare them and held that naive sense they would listen. Neglecting the fact neither of them was really big on listening.
"You know what happens...when a legendary and a normal Pokemon have a child?" He allowed no time to answer before replying with a swift, "Heartbreak." Raith said nothing further, leaving the conversation at that while he stood back to full height and stretched out his limbs one at a time before craning his neck to peer across the ruined plains in silence.

Alice

Alice stared at Raith in an intent silence as he spoke and then turn away with his conclusion. He didn't want to talk about it, of course not. The subject in itself wasn't very bright and he was involved in some way. The Kirlia's head tilted slightly at his wording then, repeating it on her own head. No. No, that wasn't right. Legendary or not, of course you could move on with enough time. Something was probably stopping her, or telling her otherwise. Something of the sort. That was normally the case, at least. Heartbreak is heartbreak... Alfred was Aire's son, and Aire fell in love with a legendary. Alice blinked rapidly as the idea crossed her mind. Alfred didn't look like a legendary though-- he looked like a Gardevoir. Did she get together with someone after? That's a sign of moving on, right? Alice winced and her hand promptly reached up to her head. It didn't matter, it was too much to think about and it didn't involve her anyway... Just forget it.
Alice broke her silence, taking a deep breath and rebounding with a smile as her attention returned up toward Raith. "Wanna go somewhere? You could walk back to the guild with me if you'd like." It was the first thing to come to mind, not quite registering the idea that that technically meant their meeting was being cut short in favor of simply changing the subject as quickly as possible. "...Don't worry about Aire, I'll make sure Anu is nice to her. He has to listen to me, I'm his big sister." Alice gave a proud nod as if who was born first was a competition. It was the least she could do to seem somewhat reassuring.

Raith

It occured to the Garchomp that he was dwelling on things too much. He'd been thinking back on the past a lot lately, and with good reason. The world ending tended to put things in perspective for some, but for others they fell into regret. A life spent doing what? Was it worth it in the end? Would the afterlife be more merciful? They were all such needless thoughts. The nostalgia wasn't worth the headaches.
Inclining his head down to stare at Alice, amused that the Kirlia still held a pep to her step, he gave a steady nod only to replace his nodding with a broad smile instead. Some things were infectious. Alice's cheerful demeanor was one of them. He'd have to be careful around this Psychic less she make him lose his edge.
"Sounds good, it's getting a bit hot out here anyways." The heat didn't bother him, it was simply an excuse to agree.
Raith frowned then, realizing she probably meant teleporting back and although she seemed like a nice kid she didn't appear the most...qualified...to teleport anyone. He was especially large and the bigger the group/Pokemon/object was, the more difficult the teleport.
"How about a walk back? Nice day for a walk." Disregarding his 'it's getting hot' comment from earlier. He just didn't want one half to make it to the guild and the other not.
Also, Raith had never been fond of teleports. They tended to make him sick, one of the few things in this world that could.
Her last declaration was ignored in favor of a faint smile while he ducked his head in a manner that allowed Alice to step up onto his back.
That other Gardevoir, Anues she called him, he did seem to be good for her. If only because he kept her out of trouble. That made you okay in Raith's book.

Alice

A questionable cheeriness Alice held faded into it's casual joy as Raith complied in the end and she gave a nod. She was glad, having thought she might have ruined the moment. Alice had a knack for screwing things up, and unintentionally for the most part. She was well aware of it, she just never noticed until she already said something wrong.
The Kirlia stepped over toward Raith as he then crouched down, hesitating for a moment before shrugging off any mild worries and climbing onto the Garchomp's back with a hop to boost herself up. Upon her success, Alice gave a quiet sigh and settled on the giant's neck where she could hold onto his horns for support. Needless to say, they were bigger than her hands, making matters slightly complicated, but overall fine. "Thank you." they were the only words out of her mouth for a short period of time. The silence, coming from Alice, was rather prolonged though what eventually followed was rather random.
"Hey Raith, you seem smart. I've been thinking of becoming a Gardevoir for a while now, but I don't know if I'm ready. I'm scared I might mess something up." Alice frowned. Her parents more or less scared her out of evolution for years while growing up, claiming you had to be ready for it in a sense left unexplained Did she need to be a certain age? A better Psychic? Did you have to be build for it mentally or physically?... or both? They were oddly strict in the matter. She felt her reasons had been legitimate, though left unexplained just to keep things simple. With how early Anues evolved, she had no idea what this 'ready' meant but look how he turned out, would that happen to her too? The subject was almost traumatizing. "I'm scared." 26. Was that even normal for a Kirlia?

Raith

Raith turned slowly, on all fours, and began a slow amble back in the direction of the guilds. Walking on all fours wasn't that difficult for the Garchomp. He had relatively long front arms and although he looked a bit awkward it wasn't because he had any difficulty with walking in this manner.
In silence he ambled along until the tiny Psychic phrased her question and the only response that he'd heard her was a brief pause in his next step before he pressed onward. Raith didn't answer immediately, he was carefully trying to recall the ages of the Gardevoir he knew and when they had fully evolved. Perhaps the insight would help in answering.
"Well..." He finally said after a long pause and a frown. "The clan Aire and Alfred were in had specific rules regarding evolution. For girls it was at age 23, for boys it was at age 21 though that was because all the boys of their clan became Gallade and it took some time to hunt down a Dawn Stone. They took two year journeys to find them. It was suppose to be some kind of 'step into manhood' kind of deal, or whatever."
Truth be told, he wasn't fond of that clan and wasn't all that upset that the clan had been primarily destroyed. Sure, there were a few survivors but not enough to rebuild such an extensive society.
They had the most strict rule system and unmericless way of dealing with what they deemed problems. They didn't deserve death, but they deserved some form of punishment.
"As far as 'being ready', when you are able to evolve you should evolve when you feel comfortable. There is really no actual way of knowing when you're ready." He...couldn't remember his Gabite or Gible years, so he had to pull from the experiences of others.
When she voiced her fears the land shark grinned and flicked his tail upward to tap her on the head.
"Relax, evolution is nothing to be afraid of."

Alice

Alice entered another silence even after Raith finished, merely thinking. She overall got the answer she'd hoped for. Raith had three stages himself, and it could have been explained by personal experience, but hearing it as her own species was far more comforting. Aire came from a clan was it? That meant many of her species evolved by certain ages and they all turned out fine. Or, judging by Aire herself at least. It was very reassuring.
As Rath pat her head, the Kirlia gave a quick blink, snapped away from her train of thought. Her eyes traveled for a moment before refocusing and fixing her grip. "Well, I want to. I think I'm ready, I just... wasn't sure if it was too early." Simplified. "I think if I evolve, I'll be a better psychic. I don't need to be good or anything, just better." It was possible, considering it was a stage of growth so to her, it made sense. Needless to say she knew first hand she had to go a mile and a half anyway.
"I guess I will. No harm done by the sound of it." was Alice's end conclusion, leaving her simply with the idea of how soon exactly. Jumping into it the moment she got back? Well, Raith would technically be with her, possibly, so that was reassuring. But... That was a bit too soon. She was troubled, but far less than she had been originally. "Last time I evolved, I remembered a lot of things I forgot. It can't be that bad." Alice smiled. That detail slipped her mind, but remembering it, maybe something better would come of evolving again. She became stuck on the idea, though less in fear and more in excitement. There was a ditzy silence about her then that resulted in the Kirlia merely idling there smiling.
