User ImageSal shrugged as she turned to leave the two to their squabble. Despite the fact that she was happy that Nami had permitted entrance into her heart to another person, she could not help but feel sorry for Vincent who was probably thinking of her sister as the next spoiled brat. He did not know about their parents, about Jordan or any of it. It just was not fair that he had taken on something without knowing its full weight. Sal sniffled at this and headed for Nami's bedroom so as to change her cut-offs for something more wholesome. When she emerged from the room, she was wearing an old pair of jeans and a short sleeved shirt under her tank. She still felt overdressed but at least, she could enter stores now with no problem. The young woman headed for the kitchen, expecting to find Vas and tell him about her sister's decision.

Vassili

Vassili, being Vassili, had wiped all the tables down, stacked the chairs and moped the floors, finished the dishes and prepped a hundred rolls for Monday, stowing them in the freezer for proofing Sunday. He was just washing his hands and started drying them as he heard Sal's light footsteps. He turned with the hand towel over his hands and smiled.

"Yeah I'm sure you can take that card. You can't bankrupt me, ever."

User ImageSal smirked at him. "I wouldn't be so sure of that," she started, taking her time in approaching him, "if you give it enough time, it could come true. With that said, Nami agreed to come with me this afternoon. I swear that I hate doing this to her." She eyed Vas pointedly, leaning against the counter and sighed. "After our parents, Naomi and I were able to stay by our aunt for a while but it was she who had become like a second mother to me. She never forced me to do something. The facts were laid out and I made my choice. It doesn't feel like that now though."

Another sigh escaped her lips as she removed herself and walked through the tables, taking care on the apparently wet floor. "You're something else, you know that?" she called, examining the sudden neatness of the eating area. Sal took up post in the booth which she had occupied earlier that morning. "I apologize for not being much help then. I was more of a distraction than anything else, I suppose." She looked across at him and found an unprecedented tightness forming in her throat. Sal did not make real apologies to men. The words were supposed to mean nothing when coming from her mouth but there it was: her regret for being herself at times.

Vincent

Vincent grabbed her wrist and held her in place. He let Sal walk by before speaking. He was enjoying this foray into craziness.

"Will you lighten up a bit. I can tell you aren't afraid of me, and guess what, that is what attracts me to you. It was an accident, that may or may not happen in the future. I tend to be oblivious to the world when I wake up. How I am, how I got by on the streets." He leaned in and kissed her gently.

"Now go have fun and my favorite color is a deep blue. though I think red or maybe a forest green would look stunning on you." He chuckled and slid into the bathroom. Seconds later the shower was on.

Vassili

Vassili followed her closely, listening, just an arm's length away and then slid into the booth across from her. He crawled his hand across the table and grabbed a couple of her fingers massaging the gently.

"S'lright. I am who am as well," he had caught her meaning, easy enough when you were more different than others.

"I had a good time and the distractions were welcome." He chuckled, it wasn't the dark tone he had used nearly forty eight hours ago. It was light and carefree for the moment.

"Anyways, you did your job and I can keep up with mine. Easy when you were built to think like a computer." This time the chuckle was that same dark tone. He pulled her hands up and began kissing her fingers one at a time.

"You know, my favorite color is crimson. I'm sure you can guess why. But if your were to pick out say something in blue, or black, or anything not red I would like it better." He leaned farther in and kissed her cheek.

"See you at six." He slid out of the booth and headed for the stairs.

User ImageUser ImageNaomi stood in place for moment as he rattled on with his supposed charm. By the time that she was ready to reply though, he was in the bath. Her skin was almost boiling hot as she let his words pass over her again. 'My favourite colour is deep blue, blah blah blah...' was all she could hear and eventually provoked sudden laughter on her part. Who cared what was his favourite colour? Was he wearing the dress? Her chuckling continued as she walked out of the Party Hall and down the stairs. Maybe she should have laid down some rules or soemthing? The chuckles turned into light snickering as Naomi saw Vas. She nodded at him with a grin before putting her clothes in her room and donning a pair of shoes.

When she stepped out, the manager shouted back in Vas' direction that Vincent could place his clothes in her room for washing. Then, she sauntered over to her sister who appeared to be in a state of utter shock with a touch of repulsion. The woman slid in next to her. "Sal, what's wrong?" she inquired.

Sal turned to face her sister slowly. "He, he told me what, what is favourite colour was and then added - options." The girl looked absolutely terrified.

Naomi blushed and pulled her sister's hand into her own. "Vincent did the same thing. It's not their fault that they don't know any better." Even as she said it, Naomi did not believe it. They thought that their opinion would matter on such things. Fortunately, her face contradicted her words and Sal giggled. "Anyway, let's go and do this - thing. There are supposed to be some stores near the outskirts of the square. We can start with those and work our way in." She stood and pulled the younger girl out behind her onto the street.

Vassili

"Alright." Vincent stopped up the stairs he was already on his imbedded LCD tapping in his sizes for the tailor. He shot the message to the tailor so his tux would be ready when he got there. He would still have get Vincent fitted. Vassili shed his clothing when he made it to his room and put on loose fitting clothing with tight fighting underclothing. He left and went in search of the young man, his ear leading him to the bathroom where he waited next to the door.

Vincent stepped out of the shower smelling of feminine shampoo and soap. He dried quickly and slipped on the clothing Naomi had given her. He exited and jumped a foot as Vassili appeared on the other side of the door.

"Well then boss, where are we going?" Vincent followed Vas.

User ImageSal yanked her hand out of Nami' hold and gazed at the scene before them. Across the road was the park, laden with trees and people alike and well, square in shape. Every plant seemed to be a lush green and the wind was blowing quite strongly. It made it very cool despite the blazing sun above their heads. She sheltered her eyes and looked up at whatever birds were on power lines and rooftops before leveling her gaze again. The buildings appeared a bit out of date though and the pavement were basically made out of fitted stones. She stomped on one idlely.

"So, what is the faavourite colour of Mr. Tidal?" she joked. "Let me guess - white?" The suggestion made her chuckle a bit but she stopped quickly, anticipating her sister's scowl. Sal shook herself and started to walk away from the Cafe, checking back at Nami to see if she was following.

User ImageNaomi faced her sister's back as the woman walked away from her. The joke had not been that funny. Silently, she caught up to her and folded her arms. The style of the whole area, in her opinion was too quaint. It was like they wanted to take you back to a simpler time but not so far back that the idea of a coffee place was too farfetched.

"Actually, he fancies a deep blue but sees red or green as being more my colours," she answered the tease, walking in time with her sibling. She allowed them to walk a few more blocks so as to get out of the heart of things. That was mostly the breakfast-oriented or snack-focused square. The others had themes as well but tended to cater to a older crowd. The suburbs were far out beyond that. Once they passed the second square, Naomi took Sal by the hand again and turned left. "This way," she muttered, pulling the girl into the first store, "This is the first of a long line of clothing stores. I would take you to my favourite but you don't do pantsuits. Oh well, are you ready?"

Vas & Vincent

Vassili and Vincent had left the building by way of the fire escape. They had used Vincent's knowledge of the area to get them ahead of the girls and into the store that fitted for suits and tuxedos. Vassili was in one room the tailor making the tux fit perfectly while the tailors assistant measured Vincent. Vassili had sent another assistant out to buy platinum studs and cuff-links and watches that would match the clothing. Vassili had been fitted for many suits and tuxedos needing them for missions and contracts. For once he was being fitted for one for his own personal use.

"Sometimes the idea of love should just leave me alone."

User ImageUser ImageSal had nodded and eventually, the two of them were trying on different dresses, either ones that they picked out or that the workers had suggested. Naomi was very uncomfortable as the female and male clerks alike waited on her, always cheering when she or her sister came out from another try on. The "things" were so frilly and in awful pastel colours with screamed distasteful prettiness. There were a few blacks after you burrowed through the fairy cotton but they had been made with the intention of never being sold.

An hour had passed and Sal was having better luck than Naomi. The younger sibling was in love with almost everything that she had tried on despite the style or if it was meant for the evening or not. By the time that Naomi was on her seventh dress, there were so many piled up already on a chair. Vas was going to regret this even if he did not admit to it. By the tenth addition, Naomi was seated and waiting on Sal. As her sister came out in a little black dress, she yawned openly.

"Sal, give it up already and just choose one. It's for one night."

She scowled, "It's not just one night. You might not know this but I haven't had a date in months. This is exactly what the doctor called for." Sal twisted and turned this way and that, showing off her legs and the lack of backing to the garment. It was while returning for another round that she spotted Nami's expression. The manager was not into this and she had not found anything for herself as yet. "Fine, we can go."

"Thank you," Naomi stated, grabbing her sister's dresses hastily and carrying them over to the cashier. With a bit of rudeness, she got them out of there fast enough and into another store some windows down. This one was more strict in its products in that it was mostly lengthy gowns. Naomi stole the card from her sister's pocket and ignored more eager clerks as she examined the racks. Sal had purcahsed a range of colours but Naomi desired something dark, black being her favourite colour. The woman waddled through the rows for some minutes before she saw it. It was not black but it was still amazing.

"Hey, did you find something?" Sal asked, placing her head on Nami's shoulder. When her sister did not answer verbally, Sal aligned herself to see what she saw. Immediately, she nodded, "Yes, that is it. It's perfect."

"I'll need something to put over it though. I don't want to spoil the surprise too soon." The girls giggled at this as Naomi tried it on. Of course, it fitted well and she got a coat to go with it. Eventually, all they had to get was the accessories and shoes. Fortunately, the store held those items and in another half an hour, they were out of there and en route to the Cafe. The sun had lowered and the air was a bit cooler. "Sal, you never told me what Vas' favourite colour was. What is it?"

They made another corner. "It's crimson."

"I guess you're wearing that light red one then."

Sal shook her head and explained her choices to the woman as they walked through the streets. Finally, they came upon the Cafe. It was still dark inside so it was safe to assume that the men had not returned as yet. They entered and locked it. "I think I'm going to try on the dresses again just to be sure. What about you?"

Naomi sighed and slipped into a chair and table set. "Nah, you go ahead. We still have some time before to get ready. I'll just wait it out here." She handed over her purchases and rested her head on the desk, tired already.

Vas and Vin

Vassili stopped Vincent from entering the cafe. They were both holding a garment bag and Vassili was looking at his LCD.

"Alright man, the limo will be here at five forty five. Its a ten minute drive to the theater, so be ready to go. I'm not gonna wait for you." Vassili opened the door and entered the cafe without a second glance at Vincent.

"Whatever brother." Vincent slipped into the cafe after Vas and noticed that he was going to have get on Vas good side again. Apparently the incident early had ticked him off. Vincent headed upstairs and off the hall hanging the garment bag up.

Vassili came down the stairs at thirty till six. He poked his head out the door and saw the limo there, early like he had told it, cause the theater was actually thirty minutes out. The show didn't start till seven. So he lied to get Vincent ready. He heard the the footsteps behind him. They were nearly identical, though one was black and the other was white. Vincent was having trouble tying his tie and Vas moved his hands tying with a few deft movements.

"I'll teach you later. Hopefully Naomi warms up to the idea of being out and about. She is technically part of the High Class now." He had explained to Vincent on their way back the amount of money he had invested, and in liquid form.

She had not heard Naomi come in while she was getting ready but the gown and coat were missing so she must have prepared as well. The woman shrugged and sauntered out to the dining area, taking care not to step on the hem of her clothes. There, she found Vas putting the finishing touches on Vincent's tie. A smile played across her lips and she snuck up behind him to place a hand around his waist. The tux suited him well. However, she could not say the same for the other man as she looked over Vas' shoulder at his handiwork. "Is everything ready?"

User ImageNaomi adjusted her straps accordingly and donned her coat. She was in a room off of her main bedroom and looking at her reflection. Her hair was up to reveal silver earrings and a fine chain that matched. It was not her though. There should be a stain on her somewhere and coat must have a wrinkle or two but it did not. She let out a breath and picked up her purse in stepping out the door and walking down the corridor to the Cafe. As she turned into the lights, Naomi forced a smile on her face.

Something else was bothering her. It was not all about being forced into an itchy dress. He was back in town. She wondered if Sal had seen him as well or if this had been a real reason for her sister's return. Naomi shook the thought from her mind and took up post at Vincent's side. Through the transparent parts of the door, she could tell that it was getting closer to sunset. Hopefully, Jordan had not keeping tabs on her for too long. If he did, the stylish man loved to make a dramatic entrance. Crashing a dinner party would be perfect for him.

Suddenly, she remembered the loose straps of one of her sleeves. "Hey Sal, can you tie this up for me please? I don't think that I can do it by myself." Naomi pulled her sister over to the side and revealed only the sleeve in question, hiding the rest of the dress as much as possible.
