No actually. My friend is someone that I met ON Gaia. 3nodding I met him like a few months after I joined and we've been really good friends since. He's become too busy with his real life though, he has two kids now and a house of his own to take care of. He's just concerned about me spending my money on something that's not tangible I guess you could say?

Ahh that I do get. A lot of people don't think you should ever spend money on pixels. While I respect that idea I also say its selfish to expect an artist to work extra hard for free for you when they don't even know you.

Oooooh, I like that idea a lot Ty!!! I think that's a really good way to think about it for sure! 3nodding But I also believe that the pixel artist on Gaia are getting paid from the people of Gaia already as it is. So I don't know if I could say that the money from the RIGs really goes to them or not. Like I said, I can't say so who knows.
Oh and I forgot to mention that I did agree about the annoyance over how the event are now so money based. confused It's really hard to want to participate in an event that's going to suck all my money away from me.

Actually do we know if they are getting paid for their work on gaia? We're just guessing, though I DO hope they are getting paid since gaia gets money for their work. As for if they get money from the RIGs, no idea but I wish I knew.
And ya, I know what you mean. It seems like you need to be rich to fully enjoy any event on gaia now. It was more fun when events had games or challenges instead of money robbing.

And I can't agree with you more, Ty. 3nodding Hmm, can't say what my favorite event was from Gaia to be honest.. I wasn't here for the first Halloween though I did like 04's Halloween a lot. 3nodding
I can't say I really care for Solia's events all that much. Most of them deal with posting a s**t ton and I'm not an active poster on there really. > o>;

I actually like solias events because they boost activeness and make the users involved as opposed to gaias where the users aren't involved in the event.

This Halloween from Solia I liked a lot better than the previous 2 I've experienced. I'm not really a fan of the random "clue" game that's not really a clue game since you can't go based off of the stuff that you're told and then try and figure out who killed who, you know what I mean..? So when they did the whole, go get treats I was like, YAY!!!! rofl
Yeah Gaia's events have been getting less and less involved, that's for sure. Dx But I got this nifty jacket from the event! = 3=

XD the clues thing wasn't the only part of the event. They also had the 'check out whats going on' threads where NPCs would be doing plot related things. Some of those threads users where allowed to post in and you could interact with the NPCs. It was pretty fun to read.. XD With the snow event I'm totally hooked and want bills side to win.. cus I don't want my sexy faction leader solvok to get killed by the ice queen >.< Noooo sexyyy! If you like trick or treating don't you like the caroling too then?

And yeah I like the caroling as well. I'm just worried about opening the crackers on my main account.
