Jadefoot gave Troutpaw a comforting look. I remember when I was an apprentice Jadefoot thought happily. He saw a huge fish in the river and swiped it up with one quick prod of the paw. he caught a couple of voles and Troutpaw caught a few mice."Lets meet up with Cloudfang and Nightflame." he told Troutpaw.

"Okay, let's find them and bring back some freshkill, I hope they caught as much as we did"! I couldn't decide whether to tell Mosstar when we got back or wait until the gathering."When should I tell Mosstar?" the thought came right out and it wasn't even a whisper, definitley loud enough for Jadefoot to hear.

CloudFang caught a few of the Red and White colored fish. NightFlame had caught a few voles and mice as well. the two of them carried their prey. "Lets catch up with Troutpaw and JadeFoot." NightFlame said. The two of them headed out to find troutpaw and JadeFoot.

Jadefoot saw Cloudfang and Nightflame, and they di catch a lot! Then he heard Troutpaws comment. "Tell Mosstar what?"Jadefoot said with a friendly tone, but it was sort of muffled with all the prey in his mouth.

Yep he heard me"sorry, Mosstar asked me about becoming a warrior and I've decided yes but I can't decide if I should tell her when we get back or if I should wait until the day before the gathering which is when I decided to tell her. I still have one thing making me think I shouldn't be a warrior though. Do you remember when I came to Seaclan about 7 moons ago, do you know why I came, or where I was from before?"

"Shellpaw, Shellpaw," Shellpaw murmured to herself, liking the sound her new name made. She was prancing through the clearing, poking her head in dens and asking around to see if anyone had seen her mentor, Aquastreak.

"Yes I think so, but why would you think that you are much older than the other apprentices though." Jadefoot wondered why Troutpaw would think such a thing.

NightFlame and CloudFang caught up to troutpaw ans JadeFoot. *They caught quite a bit.* the two of them thought. CloudFang: "Should we head back to camp now?" she asked. Then she saw that the two of them were talkign about something. She thought it might be rude to interrupt so she stood with her large fishes in her jaws and clamped under her neck.
NightFlame saw heard troutpaw say something about a warrior. He ignored it and stood a respectable distance where he wouldnt be able to hear the conversation.

"Well you said that as a warrior I'd have more responsibility in battles. Well I used to be from Nightclan but Tanglestar doesn't know that I was allowed to join Seaclan so I don't want to know what Tanglestar would do to me if he found me fighting for Seaclan. It's even more likely now than ever with Nightclan found on our territory. But I guess I can't let that bother me, what about Trouttail for my name, oh hey Nightflame!

hearing their names being called they flicked their ears.  "Ok. Lets head back for camp. I'm getting tired of carryign these big fishes." She said with a muffled laugh. the four of them headed back for camp. NightFlame followed CloudFang and JadeFoot back to the camp. "Troutpaw, JadeFoot. Do you guys mind if i ask you something?" He asked.

NightFlame: "Well, i was wondering. When does an apprentice become a warrior? Does a Warrior ever become an apprentice?" he asked. CloudFang heard NightFlame's question and looked to JadeFoot and Troutpaw for she too was curious to learn more about how this clan worked.

Jadefoot chuckled to himself while placing the prey into the fresh kill pile."Well, first of coarse you start off as a kit,and when you have reached six moons, you will become an apprentice.Then you train to become a warrior, and when your mentor and the leader thinks your ready then you will become a warrior and get your warrior name."

NightFlame put his mice and voles down into the fresh kill pile. "Oh, so if your leader and/or mentor thinks your ready to become a warrior you become a warrior. huh. that makes sense." CloudFang put her large fishes into the freshkill pile. *I hope this is enough to feed the clan. One of these fish could probably feed at least 2 warriors that are starving* she thought. She heard JadeFoots answer then nodded. "Oh. So if your a warrior do you ever go back to your apprentice duties?" she asked.
