"She's as real as it gets." Tempest explained. "Fang has never sugar-coated anything with me. She's brutally honest and I find that's the best way to be..."
The Pikachu finally removed her arm from Era's shoulders and folded them behind her head lazily.
"One last worry to fret about then. That's nice. I just hope that the other guilds get their teams together as soon as possible as well..."
She scratched at her cheek.
"But yeah, me and Fangy go waaayyy back. Back when I was a Pichu and she was a Pikachu, but she's beaten me now. I can't evolve."
She kept making idle conversation if only because she enjoyed talking to the sensible little electric type.

With that in mind she listened to Tempest talk about Fang with interest. "So you've known each other for a while then," she said with a smile, "Meeting old friends is nice." She didn't really have any of those outside of her Team here, but out there somewhere were Pokemon she'd known for a long time. It was odd reminiscing, she felt as though you had to be old to be nostalgic, but she definitely wasn't old.
Then something caught her ears: the phrase, "can't evolve." There was something odd. Era had heard of it happening before of course, but those stories were rare and few. "When you say 'can't evolve' how does that work? Is it just that Thunderstones don't do anything?" she asked curiously, and then, realizing that it might be a touchy subject, added, "If you don't mind my asking."

"I agree. Even Solaris has managed to pull himself together for once..." News of the Espeon's daring, but stupid, feat had already reached her well-tuned ears.
As the young Pikachu voiced her question Tempest's fur bristled, and it was lucky Era decided to tack on that last comment otherwise she'd have lit the older Pikachu's relatively short fuse.
Tempest no longer cared about evolution, but it was still a sore spot nonetheless.
"Let's say you got a stereo plugged up. It works...because the cord connects the outlet to the stereo and electricity can run from one end to the other." She was explaining it in simple terms, as the doctors hd explained to her some time ago.
"Remove the cord. Now nothing connects the outlet to the stereo and the stereo can't work without that charge. Same with me, I'm missing a cord or two."
Tempest reached into the front of her scarf and withdrew a lone Thunderstone that she proceeded to toss back and forth between her paws.
"Contact won't work. Every year, Birthday and Christmas I'd get a few Thunderstones from Banquo and the other guildmasters, but they never work. It's not the stones...it's me." She sighed, removing a small cloth from her scarf to wrap the Thunderstone in.
"But it doesn't bother me anymore. I use to hate the notion of never evolving, but being a Pikachu had grown on me and now I rather dislike the idea."
She smiled before placing the wrapped Thunderstone in Era's paws and clsoing them around it.
"You've got that choice still though, hope you figure out what you want. Anyways, I should head out now. See you around."
With that she turned and was off like a rocket, a yellow blur tearing across the roof and through the door to the starwell.

Era As Tempest explained her situation, Era listened mutely, realizing that perhaps it hadn't been the best question to ask. It was bizarre, the concept as a whole, and she tried her best to comprehend it. She wasn't all too keen on the idea of modern conveniences but she did understand the concept of the plugs. "It must have been difficult right after you found out..." she murmured, not expecting Tempest to respond. She seemed alright with things now, she even said she was, but somewhere, sometime, there must have been a heartbroken Pikachu staring at her Thunderstone in disbelief and hurt when she went to evolve only to find that something was wrong.
As Tempest clasped her paws around the now wrapped Thunderstone, Era's eyes widened and she was about to protest before Tempest spoke. When the older Pikachu did speak though, Era couldn't find the words to say anything at all, and when she regained her voice, Tempest had already gone. Her gaze looked after Tempest for a moment, then back to the Thunderstone in her paws. Gently and carefully, Era unwrapped the Stone just enough to see the lightning bolt that was in the center, making certain not touch it. She smiled, and folded the cloth around it once more. "When the time comes we'll see..." she said softly, her voice carried away by the winds, and without another word she followed in the tracks of the others back down the stairwell and into the Guild once more.

Aire leaned against the railing of the roof heavily, allowing it to support her full weight in a lazy manner.
Her dark green eyes narrowed past the guilds tower-like structures and gate that surrounded it. Turning she spied an even larger tower in the distance, a small speck on the horizon that was the Tower of Origins.
She removed the unlit cigarette from her lips and tossed it to the ground without so much as a single puff. A waste, but more assuredly not a bad one.
The Gardevoir shook her head, one hand raised to her forehead as though aghast.
This was becoming troublesome, this whole...save the world thing and these Elite and such.
She would have taken off already had she not a promise to keep, some debt to be paid to lessen the guilt she'd carried most her life.
Whatever.
She didn't care which side won, to be perfectly honest. As long as she managed to find her redemption before the end.

 JavsJavs' teleport screeched lowly as he appeared at the rooftop steps away from Aire. His bladed hand was quickly driven into the side of the structure's wall, which was originally intended for that Eevee. He looked up from the ground silently at the female Gardevoir, his expression null. There was no anger, no sadness. As the blade vanished, his impaled hand fell lazily to his side, and the Gardevoir straightened his posture somewhat. "I have a question to ask of you." Not that she wanted to be bothered.

The female psychic closed her eyes at the voice. No need to turn around, she knew who it was.
Without even lifting her head she replied cooly, "Make it quick" before raising a hand and propping her head up with her elbow on the railing in a clearly 'bored' manner.
Had she bothered to check she'd notice that the question he wanted to ask was not one she wanted to answer, but she was far too distracted with her thoughts to care at the current moment.

JavsJavs lifted off the ground slightly, but did not advance. He broke his eye contact on Aire, looking off elsewhere. "I met an Eevee earlier." He started, closing his eyes and sitting up in the air. He went silent for a moment, as if configuring his thoughts or waiting for a response. It wasn't either. "It was a black and white one. Fairly large too. Would you have happened to see it?" He might have had better luck telling Mirelli first, but he didn't want to get her pulled into anything. He would have done otherwise had he not run into the Eevee personally.

Aire turned around sharply at that, her eyes narrowing until the green of her iris was barely visible.
The Gardevoir's lips twitched into a frown, her scar forcing her into a sort of half-smirk, half-grimace.
"You're meddling." She stated, her words held the impression that it was not a question and she was fully aware of what he was doing.
Stepping forward she raised a hand into a point a few inches from his face.
"Don't.", she said with a hiss. "Don't get involved. It has nothing to do with you."

JavsJavs' eyes carefully met with Aire's as she commanded him. There was no change in expression, but he was pleased with her response. "Who is it?" His eyes half shut lazily. "I had no intention of going after what I didn't know existed. It was coincidence... He's an angry little fellow, though." Javs smirked slightly. "A god, so he says?" How silly. "Who is it?" Javs repeated, tilting his head off to the side slightly as his expression reverted to normal.

Aire's frown remained solid, her eyes continued their glare.
"It's none of your business." She spat, turning away and folding her arms. "None of your business at all." She repeated as though needing to ensure he got her point.
The Gardevoir sighed with her back to him, quickly trying to decide her next move.
Javs wouldn't run off to tell one of the higher-ups, that much she knew. He'd joke about the idea just to annoy her but he'd never betray her to the guilds.
"It's a private matter. To fix a mistake I made a long time ago..."

Javs"Do tell." Javs rested his hand at his mouth as his attention turned to Aire again. He more or less ignored all else but 'To fix a mistake'. He continued to stare at the Gardevoir. The way he spoke, almost sounding preplanned as his replies were quick. She was quite obvious over time. 'Don't do this, don't do that'. If she were involved, he had to be in on it somehow. That should have grown obvious as well. Especially if she was involved with something like that.. thing. Javs went silent in thought. His emotionless eyes staring on past the female before he finally blinked and rested his eyes on Aire again. An idea. "You know, I've been detecting your son falling in and out of consciousness recently." He sat up straight and turned his head off elsewhere innocently, provokingly; breaking his stare at her. He didn't know if Alfred knew about this, but it was worth a shot. Given she came all this way for him and this problem occurred some time ago, maybe he would know. Why use the guilds when you can direct the conversation at her own son? He meant no harm by it, but her unwilling behavior was in the way.

Whatever minor anger Aire felt was amplified at the mention of the word 'son'. She turned back around, a growl on her lips and eyes blazing with fury.
"Shut up!" The Gardevoir practically snarled, "Just shut up!" She continued, stepping forward til she was inches away from the male psychic, one hand held up as though tempted to strike out at him.
"Stay out of my affairs. My past is none of your business..." Her sharp tone fell in favor of one that held a more 'defeated' feel and she dropped her hand back to her side before resuming her attention to the tower off in the distance, his presence now ignored entirely.

JavsJavs looked over at her again as she shouted.He acknowledged he went too far, but maybe it was a good thing. He wasn't getting much out of this anyway. He caught quick glance of her hand and sighed, straightening his posture again as he closed his eyes. She wouldn't hit him. If she wanted to, he'd better well be off guard. "Then, I apologize for the intrusion." Javs said no more. He just bowed his head slightly and teleported.

Aire turned to stare at the spot the male psychic had been in for a few minutes before closing her eyes and leaning back on the railing as she had before he'd showed up.
The Gardevoir raised a hand to her lips and contemplated the sky in silence until the soft padding of footsteps forced her to turn around once more.
It wasn't Javs, he was far more quiet, but it was a Psychic as she'd not sensed it immediately.
Though, she was somewhat distracted.
Aire narrowed her eyes as the culprit stepped into sight.
"Oh, sorry. Didn't know anyone was up here. Are...uh...are you okay? You look like you were crying..."
Let's review Solly's mistake, is it...
A) Be polite.
B) Be concerned.
C) Point out to an extremely emotional and spiteful female that she was doing something as absurd as 'crying'.
If you guessed (C), good job.
"I-I'm sorry..." The Espeon sputtered out as the taller Psychic began to advance towards him.
