"... you're not one for conversation, are you, blondey?" Throngar asked as he was ignored. If he'd been free, he'd probably have given Bryce a bit of a smack at that point. But, seeing as he wasn't... "We're brothers. Twins. Fraternal, obviously. This lump needs me with him to avoid accidentally committing acts of treason and blasphemy." He gave Gorum a bit of an evil-eye glare. "Or even not-so-accidentally."

"Yes, but where are you going?" Bryce asked.

"Good question," Throngar answered in a grumble, his eyes rolling in annoyance once again, though this time not directed at Bryce. "If I could get my hands on that hat again, I might be able to get him to tell me."

"I see..." Bryce replied. "Next question then. You're obviously no mere travellers, your brother gives that away."

Throngar glanced over at his brother for a moment and hesitated, but then gave a shrug. "Eh, keep it to yourself, but we're hunting a race of demons. Called the Blecks. Nasty things, you don't want to meet one, dark night or otherwise." Though actually quite a lot of them can only come out at night... those amphibious ones were some of the only ones we've seen who could come out in the light.

"Hmm... thats strange. My crew recently did battle with a large group of some amphibious Blecks." Bryce stroked his chin. "Half of us died... the rest are the best warriors we have. But your brother... he gets angry and he knocks out half of the survivors without breaking a sweat..."

Throngar raised an eyebrow. "Oh, that's where those things were coming from? We thought they looked like they were following something - and not us for once!" His eyebrows beetled together. "What've you got that the Blecks are after, though?" He didn't ask how Bryce knew about them. They may not have been well known, but they'd caused too much havoc to only be known by a few hunters like him and Gorum. This paladin had probably just had an encounter with them like so many others.

"We don't know. We aren't complaining though, I'm trying to kill them." Bryce replied. "Serving Aether, you see."

"Figures," Throngar grunted. "I'm no cleric, so I don't serve any particular god. Most Magi have a bit of a soft spot for Undra, of course, but that's as partisan as I get." He was silent for a couple of moments, then asked, "Well, if you're trying to kill the buggers and we're trying to kill the buggers, couldn't you just let us go?"

"I'm no Cleric, either. I'm a Champion Knight of Silmar." Bryce stated. "And we're off to Silmar to prepare a war against the Blecks. Something is gathering them all to a single point, and our leaders assume they're going to raze the land."

"Ah." Throngar frowned, looking troubled. "That's... bad." He scratched his chin a bit, then went on, reluctantly, "Well, I guess Gorum and I can help... unless the hat has a better idea. Or rather, unless he has one and decides to tell us about it. No sure thing he will even if he has one." The dwarven Mage gave an annoyed grunt.

"The hats an inanimate object, can't go anywhere without being carried." Bryce replied. "And the elf is the only one willing to put up with it, plus, she'd never get out without being noticed, we have Rogues of our own." the blond Champion chuckled. Gorum himself had been staying completely silent... awaiting a moment of opportunity.

The door creaked open and LaCroix walked inside and instantly started glaring at Gorum. "whats going on in here?"

"The girl only puts up with it because she hasn't gotten totally sick of it yet," Throngar grunted cynically. "That, and it's probably promised her some priceless artefact it claims to know the location of. It's tried this sort of thing before, once or twice." He might've said more, but then LaCroix came in. Throngar heard him and raised a sarcastic eyebrow. "None of your business, unless blondey here says so."

LaCroix scowled and flipped Throngar off "Up yours Midget anything involving Bryce is my Buisness" . He took another look at Gorum. "What's up with him? Did he realise his mother was an elf?".
