Marek then stood up and threw pieces of the dead viperwolf onto the flames and sat down. "anyone got any ghost stories" he laughed and stilletto quickly followed.

"Yes." Shiko began sourly. "Once upon a time there was a mean girl, a werewolf, and a dragon-rider. They had pissed Ewya off, and so using her powers, she killed them. No one missed them, because no one knew they were gone. The end." She said sarcastically. "Now it's someone else's turn."

stilletto nodded "that was pretty good, now this isnt a ghost story but..." he cleared his throat "so, me and my best friend john are in iraq, it was his and my last tour, he had a wife and two kids, boy and a girl, and i had none, and still dont to this day, but we were doing recon at an enemy outpost when john saw POW's , though our orders were to blow up the facility we decided to post-pone the airstrike and go in ourselves, long story short me and john come running out with the entire group and turns out HQ had already called in the airstrike, my best friend for three years, loses a leg and dies in my hands, two POW's die, three make it out and i get accused of insubordination." he nodded and then grabbed a piece of the viperwolf and started eating it.

Shiko tilted her head and blinked slowly, her eyes slightly narrowed. "Sad story." She said softly. A part of her burned to say that there were thousands of stories like there, and some that were worse; on both sides. But she didn't. That would be tactless. "But we will meet those who we loved, and have passed on once again under Eywa's eternal grace." Her eyes widened and then narrowed again, as if she was trying not to cry. Shiko looked at the meat that lay smoldering in the fire, and reached for another piece of fruit instead.

Stilletto shrugged "it happens, and its called casualties, our...well my strory is just another one in the millions of others" he continued to eat.

Shiko let out a short bark of bitter laughter. "I was going to same something along those lines, but I thought it might seem rude, and offend you. Guess I shouldn't have worried. "Still, it's sad, and what's even sadder is the fact that there are millions of stories just like that." She shook her head in disgust.

Stilletto shrugged again then looked up through the tree's "its getting dark" he looked at marek who stood and nodded "better not keep drake waiting for your training". stilletto looked at him :but didnt we just-" he cut himself off and shook his head then put the fire out and helped shiko up.

Shiko accepted Stilletto's help, tossing the fruit she hadn't eaten into the fire before it was put out. "They bruise easily, so you can't keep them for long." She said, shrugging her shoulders. "So, where are we going now?" She looked over at Marek and tilted her head again.

Marek pointed to the sky and whistled "going back to the cave is where". stilletto groaned, he didnt like flying.

Shiko's faced paled. "Oh no! I think I'll walk, thank you very much." She hated flying; even more than than she hated being stuck inside. "I hate flying; you know that. I'll be sick. And then you'll be sorry."

Marek looked at both of them and shrugged "okay, have fun climbing through the caves and all" Drake suddenly dropped from the sky and landed on his feet, then laid down. Marek walked and climbed onto his neck, drake mumbled something and marek replied. Drake gave a snort then stood up,flapped his wings and they soon dissapeared in the sky. stilletto looked at shiko "sooo...do you remember which way led back?"

Shiko muttered several things under her breath, like "Idiot", "Show-off", "Stupid flying lizard" and "annoying bigot". She watched Marek and Drake fly away with narrowed eyes before sighing and kicking more dirt into the fire. "More or less." She muttered. "Well, whatever. Ready to go?" Shiko turned to Stilletto and raised an eyebrow. "If you want, we can take the rest of the meat with us. Or we can leave it here. Whichever is fine."

Stilletto shook his head "nah im good" he mumbled "tasted like S*** anyway" then walked two steps forward and stopped "do you think he left us out here for a reason?".

Shiko smiled. "Yeah, well, Viperwolves are the runts of Pandora. What did you expect?" Sighing, Shiko passed Stilletto and continued walking. "Probably just to show off that he has a flying lizard and us lowly mortals have to walk if we want to get somewhere." A smirk tugged at her lips. "Or maybe this was the training he was talking about; it'll be good for you to walk. Again."
