Zane was brought down as he felt Cherrys touch embrace him. it was as soft as snow fall. As his almost shattered mind continued to break with the power, Cherrys voice managed to reach him. Everything that theyve been through, all the memories, he wanted to keep them, they werent filled with hardship, pain, struggle, survival like his life had been to that point. It was filled with joy. His life was nothing up until that point, and he never had a problem with just throwing his life away in order to complete a mission. But now he had a reason...he needed to go back. As cherrys words became a stream of energy inside his mind they weaved around the shatter pieces like glue to glass. Zane ceased thrashing as his muscles relaxed. His eyes still glowing, the scroll fell to the ground as Ezio appeared from the scroll, he too looked extremely exhausted after going through that crazy ordeal

Without looking away from him, Outou spoke to Ezio. "Tell me." Was all she said but it was filled with a dark determination, like a mother hunting for her child's killer; intense and unrelenting, telling you with its tone of not having anything to lose. Outou's left hand gently ran through Zane's hair as she waited for an answer, grey chakra still coiling around her.

Zanes eyes continued glowing, but at least his breathing returned to normal. Ezio sighed as he looked down at her. Thinking just how he could communicate with her he placed his index finger on her forehead. his cold touch seeped into her mind as he began to "speak" right into it. "The scroll he found held immense power, it contained either the power of devils, or the power of gods. he has been struggling as to wether to walk in light or darkness and because of you, he chose the light. he knew the risks, the risk that the power would destroy him completely. but he took the risk, for you. to protect you, and to one day fight the very same man that kidnapped you and manipulated you back at the hospital"

"So, he nearly killed himelf..." Outou spoke, pink eyes dark as her hand continued to run through Zane's hair. "Because of me? Just to get that little bit stronger instantly to avenge something I did myself?" She spoke, referring to being manipulated into burning the hospital. It was her own fault for not having a strong anough will. "It's bad enough I killed those paople but now he's trying to kill himself too?" Outou whispered harshly, confused and angry.

Ezio sighed as he kept his finger pressed to hers. "You dont get it do you...he chose to do this in order to protect you. If that man were to come back now, he would have been tossed around like a rag doll. We both felt the darkness the man wields and frankly it was too much. Now he has a fighting chance, to protect you, to take care of you. Frankly Im amazed he went through such great lenghts. Zane has never gotten close to anyone, but youve changed him. The old Zane would have chosen the darkness, and be gone forever to its power. So dont blame yourself, he wouldnt want that." Ezio explained, meanwhile Zanes eyes began to diminish almost returning t normal.

"It was a stupid risk he didn't need to take." Was all she said before turning her complete attention to Zane resting in her lap, still craddingling his head against her chest with one hand while soothingly running her other hand through his hair.

Ezio gave a slight bow as he dissipated into nothing. The glow in Zanes eyes vanished as he opened them slightly. He moaned as he moved, his entire body ached as it adjusted itself from the increase of chakra. He looked up, to see Cherrys pink eyes. It was all he could see, everything else was black and his vision was tunneled. "Hey..." he muttered as he gave a slight grin.

She resisted the urge to slap him - though it was only a light one - and replied back. "Hey." She spoke, tone light. "Feeling sore?" She observed more then asked.

"Meh...a bit...i feel like a surge of electricity surged through my body, twice, and my bodys trying to keep up," Zane responded, still grinning. He had done it, he could feel the light chakra going through him. He turned his head and saw his gear on the other side, he wanted to start training tight away, there was no time to waste. Now that he had attained the power, he now had to master it. He looked back at Cherry and smiled lightheartedly so to not have her worried.

"No." She said, pink eyes serious. "You can rest. I'll make us something to eat. You eat it all, then you can go train." She sounded like a mother negotiating with her child, trying to get the kid to hold off on what she knew she couldn't stop but could at least try to postpone. And that was how she saw Zane; not as a kid, but as someone who was about to do something she wouldn't be able to prevent, but could at least try to hold it off a litte.

Zane sighed as he rubbed his cheek with his hand. looking into her eyes, Zane decided it was just better to listen to her than to argue. She can be pretty scary, Zane thought as he nodded. "Okay okay," he chuckled as he placed his hand on her cheeks, then ran his fingers through her hair. "Thank you...for saving me," he stated. if not for her, he would have been lost to the power of the scroll.

"You did the same for me. It was the least I could do." She spoke, trying to pull away from Zane's hands without seeming rude or off-put, wanting to make something to eat; she was pretty hungry herself after being asleep for so long.

Zane smiled as he rose up from his position and sat upright. He wished he could lie back down on Cherrys lap again. it was such a great and soothing feeling to be held by her. He rose up and stumbled on his feet. He looked down at his legs as they wavered. he took one step forward and nearly fell over. Looking back at Cherry he grinned, "Uh...Ill go make the tea then," Zane laughed embarrisingly as he slowlly took another step forward.He was practically learning how to walk again.

"Here," she spoke,one hand on his arm, trying to guide him to lean against the wall so she could massage the mucles awake in his legs. She'd done it a few times before for relatives returning from a mission or extended bedrest. Often the legs just need to be massaged into relaxing so blood could flow better, other times the muscles just needed a reminder of how to function; from thigh to heel. "And I'll make the tea."

Zane took her hand and leaned against the wall. He didnt like feeling completely useless. But if it was Cherry it was okay. He sighed as his body was still getting used to this.
