Paladin 2012

Suddenly they appeared in a well lit room.

A Roman Officer helped the three up.

Another Officer went up to Farskon, and performed a Roman Salute.

"We await orders, Paladin."

"Huh?" Farskon sputtered eyes widening.

He looked around it was somewhere. But he was not sure, it looked very Roman. He brushed himself off, and was wondering how they got there, and why they suddenly were awaiting orders.

The inkmancer blinks warily, accepting the hand from the officer and taking in the surroundings as she brushed herself off as well. Friezes decorated the rather airy room, and columns supported the roof.

"...This is an interesting development," she muttered. When in Rome...do like the Romans.

And for Farskon that apparently meant lead an army.

[-brushes off knowledge of art history and brutally fails at describing the room-]

Emma's gaze swept around the atrium, taking in the altars to the household gods and mosaics that covered the floor. "Now this is more like it."

It felt like the American Revolution all over again; that was her military prime. Well, that and the defeat of the Spanish armada. It felt good to have soldiers around her...
((Heh. Latin nerd. Couldn't help myself.))

((Who Emma totally loves humans, I think the elves have a name for that xd . Don't worry Emma, I need to learn Latin myself, it's a big influence in Farskon's backstory. In fact Darkling Old Writing, is Latin, just with different characters. ))

"Shall we take these two prisoners, Paladin?" They asked, carefully as if afraid to offend Farskon.

"N-no!" Farskon replied, and motioned them away.

They looked worried, and then said to him."Would you like to talk to the regional Paladin?"

The Paladin's heart pounded fast; another Paladin?

Scribbler fought the urge to roll her eyes, reaching for a paintbrush that wasn't there. The wings stubbornly remained, grey pinions pointed to the ceiling...but she kept silent for now, allowing a small pool of ink to circulate in the hand behind her back.
Prisoners? Pfft.
PostPosted: Fri Dec 11, 2009 8:13 pm

"Tempate capere me, miles." Emma muttered in Latin, echoing Scribbler's sentiments with a muted snort and folding of her arms.

As if they could take her prisoner.

Though it would be entertaining to see them try.

[[Sorry I couldn't resist xd

-laughed his a** off writing this- ]]

"Darklings!" Shouted a voiced, and something cashed into the ground. He was large armored, and his eyes glowed bright azure. His hands were glowing with pure soul energy, and they were mere nanometers from Scribbler and Emma's face.

It was an Original, as Farskon would put it.

"No, no, no, no don't!" Farskon shotued, and showed his mark.

The Paladin turned, and glared. He jumped back several meters.

"I'm one of the 7 you know," The other Paladin replied testily at Farskon.

"Darkling? Hardly, sir. If you looked with an ounce of common sense you would see otherwise." Emma stared the Original straight in the eye, her gaze unwavering.

She was at the end of her patience.

"I am no Darkling, thank you."
The inkmancer did not blink at the almost-attack, though there was a neat little shield of ink that had sprung up.

Inwardly, she wondered if there was a way to use soul energy to identify whether people were threats or not. The Original seemed to not know of such a method, in any case.

"Folk, Darkling, may as well call yourselves Darklings," He said unconcerned.
Blond hair flowing, he glowed. He was obviously a Paladin, stronger than Farskon, and with more experience.

His eyes glowed constantly azure, like Farskon's eyes would one day do.

The Original snapped his fingers, and all magic around the area seemed to be sucked away completely."I am Valeto, the fourth to awaken."

"And I am not intimidated." Emma's features remained steely and cold, her arms still tightly folded beneath her (ample) chest and a high-heeled shoe tapping against the floor.

"Such a useless display of power belies your claim."
PostPosted: Fri Dec 11, 2009 8:43 pm

"Hmmm, no more along the lines of 'we don't allow magic here'," Valeto replied, with a grin."I just made sure we follow the law,"

"Oh I heard about you," Farskon replied,"You are Valeto the Vain."

"Well, Valeto, if I may say...you need better eyes."
Her wings had melted away, retreating into her body, and the inkmancer was not happy about it in the least. It showed in her posture and embittered her words.
"I am Scribbler. A HUMAN. We bear no grudge to your faction."

She conveniently neglected to mention that if they did the establishment would be dust already.

"And if you have any magical Sight at all you would see human magic entwined with mine." Emma said with an arched eyebrow. "Vain and unobservant."

She was unfazed; the enchantress did not need magic to defend herself should the need arise.

Her words and a dagger would provide that service.

"No, you don't seem to understand," He sighed exasperated, as if Emma were a child asking why the sky was blue."No magic,...period."

"We aren't accepting help from the demonic Human wizards, or the Folk wizards," He said, and then pointed to Farskon."And what; might I ask, are you doing hanging around with them?"

[[We may not want to pick a fight against Valeto

I'll give you an example of a 7's power. XD

If a 7 where to fight Hrothbert, both would come out in a permanent vegetative state.

That and, he's initially on our side. If we don't push him.]]
