exclaim I've said nothing 3nodding blaugh ~skitters away inside a large cardboard box~

Thanks thanks. I missed everyone and this place while i was away (and at some point, no internet access so i gave up trying until i sorted that out.) Hrm... this calls for many thanks in a dreadful way. Click here for Thank You!

Ah anyway. I like the storyline for the Gaia Downtown RP. I like the concept. Kinda takes my character out of his role and no more bomb-dropping, lobbing shell through air or making big booms good.

I hope to get back some posting time with Gaia. Sorting my schedules out slowly to fit my timing instead of all jumbo mumbos.

I've been developing a race, called the Exathrians, of my own for quite sometimes and recently fine-tuned them with capabilities beyond planetary only technology. Meaning they reached the capability to travel space and transforming their 'magik' into weaponry. Technically its not magic, its just a natural energy reaction within their body that releases a disruptive field around themselves when they feel threatened by predators (falls back to the more primitive evolution of the race).

Most equipments used will be plasma powered because combustion or nuclear reaction is too harmful for them to secure and maintain. They have a more natural method of containing plasma. I'll leave most of the details unfold when told in RP, if it seems deent enough to be used.

The Exathrian society is based on the cast system so theres the working, miilitary and leadership classes that are choosen and handled by the head council's Queen.

Anyway, the story for their entrance. (Sidenote: despite RP Character Thrie being an Exathrian, he has evolved and altered through being in the hands of various organizations in his travel thus making him very different to the original Exathrian anatomy. He would not serve very much of an advatange in knowledge in defeating the original Exathrian.)

The Exathrian's homeworld was devastated by the planets' unfortunate side affects. The galaxy suffers from frequent wormhole effects due to the strong magnetic forces of several habitable moons orbiting a large size planet. To make matters worst, an exsisting blackhole parrallels the galaxy thus connecting with the wormhole effects.

A bad timing with a solar flare and a comet crossed path and disrupted the magnetic field from one of the smaller moon and its moon causing the field balance to collapse. The other moons fell into prey as well. On the Exathrian home planet, Exathra, the Rip effect they have experienced and studied for traveling turns into their doom. Their studies and experiments on them plus the change in the galaxy make-up develops it into an anti-core weapon. Slowly the planet begins to die.

With only a limited controlled Rips, only a small percentage of Exathrians used it in an attempt to escape disaster and in hope to find a better world. Knowing that previous studies had shown some rips leads them into the sun, space itself or even deeper into their own planet.

The Exathrians somehow survived and with fears of staying on planets that did not have the perfect eviroment and conditions. Because of such picky attitude, many planets were rejected for settlement until the reached the the Gaian system. Their target, Gaia. With resources running lower and lower within their fleet. They have no choice but to take Gaia as their own.

The only problem is that Gaia possessed intelligent being that required oxygen to survive. Exathrian survives on both meat or plants. But their vegetation requires Oxygen to grow and releases a susbstance poisonious to the Gaian population but does not affect Exathrians. A full out invasion would be of a disadvantage to both sides. The heat generated from a war of this magnitude would accelerate the green house effect and renders it useless for the Exathrian. The Gaians may survive but it would not be the same.

Thus the Exathrians proceed their plans in secrecy. Infiltrating the Gaian population and attemping to create a way to destroy most of the population, mainly the side that possessed the means to fight. The rest of the Gaian population may be left to die from the Exathrian's vegatations and hunted for meat once normal human livestock are hunted or no longer can sustain living.

Only recently, has intelligence noticed a small change in population and the increase number of military bases and science facilities owned by suspicious characters that seem to be related to each other by characteristics. This suspicion was confirmed by an insider within the government who worked close to an undercover Exathrian that talked and drank too much attempting to be more human in personality. Soon after the information had been confirmed, all contacts with the insider was lost and his existence simply disappeared from the government's knowledge as though he never worked there.

Thats pretty much the outline of the story. It sounds a little faf fetched but yeahm, i've been meaning to test out the development of my race. Also hearing that there should be an opposing force that is aiming for a goal thats neither good nor evil but only in the terms of survival. Leaving a story where the defeat of once race would mean the end of them. What do you think of it?

Downtown Gaia RP reminds me of Children of Men for some reason heh. Then again, Downtown Gaia RP can be related to so mayn things today and i just have too much time to relate sweatdrop

I think its an interest concept. I mean the RP. I hope for this RP to survive for a bit. I'd like to see how things unfold. And theres so many potential points of view to look from.

Roger... Your schedule is loaded. Next day isnt quite called 'soonish' XD but geees 6am Pacific. Sounds.... early and far away O.o; ? Aaah i dont know anymore. WoW eh? The expansion pack's coming out... I wish my interests in MMO/RPG doesnt disappear so fast. Its all fun to start with then i just quite. And i still have the curse of never finishing Any Final Fantasy series. Always running into a valid reason for me to suddenly quit.

Warning! Rant alert...... sweatdrop

~rant~
I made it to the final boss on FF7 and just couldnt beat him... Later, used gameshark to start over, grab knights of the round and end it. I have no idea where i was in FF8 and there was just too much GFs and junctions that annoyed the hell out of me. FF9, half a second too late to cast a spell and end up having all members of the party put to sleep and i didnt save often enough. Tried to rush through FF10 and ended up getting smashed to bits at some lightning storm field. FF11 is just one poorly made MMO Final Fantasy and the fact that it forces you to Party to get anywhere. Got to lvl32 and unlocked 4 additional classes and gil-whored a bit. FFX-2 just got Impossibly, horribly chick flick for me sweatdrop Currently on FF12 but have stopped recently and doesnt have the drive to play. But then again, FF12 is just The All New Better and Improved FF11 Online with higher chance of survival from mobs.

Dark Space (sadly didnt make too much publicity because it was always in Beta... and you still had to pay for your account with monthly fee.) But i rather liked it alot. A 2D movement space simulation / RTS game i have ever played. The fact that the DS player community was awesome... and very family like. Not to mention my arch rival that i havent seen for years was found there. Maybe thats why i got hooked that MMO so easily. Probably the Only MMORPG where i reached amongst the highest rankings and had all the resources at my disposal. Thent he game got patched and everything went down hill from there. People left, i left, user count dropped.
.......... Rofl
And i just had to check Darkspace website to see if its still around and the first post in the forum made me laugh. Aahh... good people they are. Err... anyway.

Eve Online was just slow, buggy and Mass Mining(usually 24/7 mining for days in and out) when i played and i hardly made it out of the frigate that you start off with. Except for the end of beta special, where i had a glimps of the battleship but couldnt find any ammo for it so never saw any action. And kinda got lost exploring for new systems and a place to buy ammo.

I dont even remember why the hell i bought Lineage II. I swear, that game is made completely out of fanservice. There was more boobs, asses and Adena then anything i have ever seen. The numbers were worst then the human population count on this planet... ugh... im not even going to start with the repeatitiveness. I swear, i read more Fan-comics on Lineage II then i spent playing it. One good thing did come out was a 2min short anime version of LineageII fanvideo. It was kute and kinda portrayed L2 except for a few things.

I dont think i made is past level 24 in WoW. Was it 24 or 34? I dont think i made it halfway to max level so maybe 24. Things got quiet and time consuming for me. Sadly, i gold-whored before i quit so i think i had enough gold to last me for at least several more levels until it gets expensive and special items not found easily on the auction.

Then theres RF Online. I felt like I was Santa Claus's elves. Because i choosed the race Bellato which consists of these kute, short dwarf-like beings. Everything was the same. There was only 1 set of clothing/armor for every several levels. Only 3 classes to choose from. Same weapons. Maybe a bit of attributes changed for the same weapon to but nontheless the same. I thought i had "Repeat" on.

Phantasy Star Online........ I liked the Single player story mode alot better.

Is that all that i could remember? Hrmmm.....
~/Rant~

Hrmmm... Its been awhile since i typed this much on Gaia.... hrm theres a word they use to refer this.....

Sephiroth's easy if you level your group lots outside. sweatdrop

And I liked 8 a lot, but many people didn't. I have a strong feeling I liked 8 a lot because of the fact that my favorite Final Fantasy character is in it: Quistis Trepe. Finally a female character that isn't a White Mage or obviously meant to be the cute one.

Haven't played any other MMOs besides FFXI and WoW, so can't really help you there.

...aaanywho, yay for Department 5 getting in. Now for a way to get Chaos Seed in as a group.... building bridges for so many subfactions... so hard. @_@

Don't you mean Phantasy Star Universe? PSO died many years ago. I haven't played for a very long time since there's hardly anyone to party with on a daily basis...

NOTICE:

Ixmas is over, Sao is back home, and the work schedule has stabilized. I will be working the overnight shift in my shitty photo lab from now on. This means two things:
  • I will have all the free time in the world on my off days.

  • However, those off days are every other week (i.e. I work 7 days, then have 7 days off).

What that basically boils down to is that I can ease myself back into RP mode, but every other week I'll be posting little, if at all.

(I doubt it'll matter that much, though; things tend to move just slowly enough for me to get away with that. sweatdrop )

I haven't read any threads yet. I just wanted to let you guys know my situation before I started getting back into the swing of things. Tomorrow starts my first week on, so I'll probably be reading more than posting. Next Tuesday night, I should be ready to jump right in.
