After a nice relaxing bath in the lake,Nasumi retreated under a big shady tree. the sun was warm on her skin. Nasumi put the dripping wet Shadow into the shade, then took out a specially designed knife and began carving a thick circle around the tree trunk while desperatly trying to wring out her ponytail.

((I thought it was snowing.))
Shadow trotted away from Nasumi and shook off the water. She trotted back to Nasumi and curled up next her. It was very cold and her fur was still damp, making the cold seem colder. she hid her nose under Nasumi's leg and tried to stop shivering.

Nasumi took Shadow and placed her on her stomach and wrapped her arms around Shadow's fur to dry it. It was nice having a pup by her side. Soon after dry, Nasumi fell into a quick nap.

Shadow was grateful for the warmth and as Nasumi fell asleep, Shadow listened to the forest around her.

Tsukiya walked over to Nasumi and said, "Sorry, I didn't mean for it to come out that way, nor did I mean to offend-it's just I have never seen a shape-shifter before-I lived in a small territory and only knew of shape-shifting as a myth a story of legend. I apologize if I gave offence."

Nasumi woke with a jolt at the sound of Tsukiya's voice. She stood up abruptly, forgeting about the small Shadow on her stomach. She quickly pulled out a kunai (a type of knife) and prepared to defend herseld. She blinked a few times, then realizing what had happened, she sat down again, blushing brightly. "Oh...sorry redface It's fine, and I did overreact I guess..."

Tsukiya looked up at Nasumi and said, "No worries-we all have our moments. So this is interesting, do you have enough weapons?"

Nasumi blinked a few times, confused, then replied "I have alot of weapons, but enough for what?" Nasumi griped her katana and slowly drew out the 2 and 1/2 foot long katana, and started to draw in the dirt with it.

When Nasumi suddenly bolted up, Shadow was sent rolling off into the snow. She sat up and shook the cold white stuff out of her ears and watched Tsukiya and Nasumi. There was a shiny sharp object in Nasumi's hand, then an even longer one. Shadow had never seen anything like those before, and it frightened her. She backed away from Nasumi, ears flat and tail between her legs.

Tsukiya chuckled a bit and said, "Not like that- I meant it as a figure of speech meaning 'you have a lot of weapons.' Any particular purpose for being so armed?" As he finished his question, he noticed Shadow in the snow and smiled and motioned for her to come over-for Tsukiya hadn't talked to the pup in a while.

Shadow looked at Tsukiya but did not go to him. She was not scared of him but those sharp shiny things had a bad feel to them. Like they would kill something, but they were not alive. To think that Nasumi would touch something like that sent shivers up her spine.

Io was in his wolf form, trotting through the city. It was cold, and there were hardly ant people about. He turned down an alley and he heard voices behind him. "Looks like a wolf," One said. "Yeah, think it can fight?" Said the other. "Lets find out." Io turned around in time to see a bag go over his head and his mouth grippe shut. He was lifted into the air and tossed onto something hard and metal.

Shadow was not sure what to make of Nasumi anymore. Surely she would not use those pointy things in her, but the look in her eyes before she had found out it was Tsukiya who had woken her was frightening. Shadow turned and ran. First Nasumi changed shape, but that was not that bad. The pointy things were too much though. She was not sure why they scared her so much but her legs would not stop. She kept running and running until her muscles burned. When she stopped, she caught a peculiar smell. Many peculiar smells.
