Deil took a draft from his oj before answering. "It would be more difficult I think if they were from a village other than sand or leaf. If they were, I would probably be more concerned about staying alive than making 100% use of their skills because its like you said. The odds of them opening up all the way is slim, and I do not expect to do it myself." The waitress came over to take their orders, and he ordered a big plate of eggs and a few pieces of toast.

 Misuki SindoueSindoue clan | Suna | GeninMisuki giggled a bit at his comment about staying alive but stopped knowing that it was a serious matter. "Yeah, its true since there's no rule about them killing you but then again, if the test required the whole team to pass then they probably won't make a move until after that." Turning to face the waitress, Misuki ordered a breakfast special containing two scrabbled eggs, two pieces of toast, and two sausages.

Deil noted the giggle with a chuckle of his own. He looked down at his arms in distraction. He tried flexing his various muscles throughout his body to see if anything was still hurt from yesterday. He looked up at Misuki as he did so. "Misuki, I had something that I wanted to ask you. If you were to get into trouble in the exams, and if we were not in the same squad, would you want me to help?" This was a serious question because it could get them both kicked out if he did, but it was better than someone from their village dying.

Misuki SindoueSindoue clan | Suna | GeninMisuki was surprised at the sudden question and noted the serious tone in which he mentioned it so she paused for a bit to think about the question seriously. After a moment of silence, Misuki looked at Deil with a serious expression. "As much as I would want to say no since it would mean expelsion and that I'll find a way out of it, I'll be lying. To tell you the truth, I'm not really so sure if my abilites will be enought to help get me out of a trouble situation." Turning to face the window, Misuki finished in a more quiet tone. "I don't trust people easily but if I had to trust someone with my life, it'll be you. So, if you do come to my rescue and we both get kicked out, I won't blame you, instead, I'll be greatful since it means I'll get to live another day." She faced Deil again and gave him a genuine smile.

Deil took in her answer and nodded in response. "Ok then. You have my word then that if I will be there if something happens." He sat there in silence, his self check bringing back no ill results. "From here on though, let's stay positive." He returned the smile to her to try to convince her. It is comforting to know that we can trust each other.
[Time to go. If I don't post tomorrow, I will be on a lot this weekend anyway. Good night to everyone!]

Misuki SindoueSindoue clan | Suna | GeninMisuki nodded, "Yes, lets." Misuki took another sip of her tea just as a waiter arrived with their orders. Placing down her cup, Misuki thanked the waiter before starting on her breakfast. Pausing for a bit, she looked up from her plate to face Deil, "Hey, since we've established that we can trust one another, don't hold back on telling me if you're every in pain okay? I hate to have things sugarcoated so if you're in pain tell me and I'll try to heal you and if I can't I'll just have to learn to accept that my skills still aren't good enought." Misuki then continued to eat her breakfast.

Deil received his plate of food and ate a bite while she talked. He looked up at her, making sure he had eye contact. "I will tell you if I am in pain and need your help. But do not beat yourself up if you cannot heal me. Also, do not try to stop me if I am hurting myself for you. I told you I would protect you if I could, and I will do what needs to be done to do that." He grabbed a piece of toast and took a bite while still looking at her.

Misuki SindoueSindoue clan | Suna | GeninMisuki blushed a bright crimson at his words and was instently as a lost for words, breaking eye contact, Misuki stared down at her plate of food while attempting to cut her eggs. After a few seconds of silence, Misuki softly muttered out something to Deil, "Thanks, that's really sweet of you Deil-san. I...I'm really touched." Misuki flashed him a quick smile before returning to stare at her food.

{Yeah, just tieing up some loose ends, we started this but never really finished since the exam started. We both get on at different times so it was hard to rush this.}

[Pre-exam events. We aren't training or fighting anyone or gaining any items to use during the exams, so I see no fault in it.]
Deil was a little surprised at the boldness of what he said, but he meant it. When she looked down at her plate, he thought to himself; She lost her parents at a relatively early age. Its not really a surprise that she is so touched, but I still appreciate it. I wonder what it was like for he being alone with nobody? He listened to what she said and looked down at his meal. Realizing that he had nothing that he could say to her to express what he felt, he went to cutting his eggs a little as well. Unconsciously, the hand of his outstretched arm turned slowly palm-upward and relaxed into a flatter shape, and his foot was bobbing up and down under the table.

Misuki SindoueSindoue clan | Suna | GeninMisuki gave a small smile at the beat he was unconsciously making with his foot and stopped her right foot from tapping, 'I think his tapping will surfice for a moment, but just incase, I'll keep my left index finger tapping against the silverware.' Misuki finished up her eggs and sausages and paused for a bit to drink her tea. Dreading the silence, Misuki decided to speak while finishing her toast. "So, any idea who else from sand might be taking the exam? I have my suspections that Havik-san might but I'm not sure about any others."

Deil shook his head as a negative. "Other than him, I don't know of anyone else." He took another bite of his eggs, and put some salt and pepper on them.

Misuki finished off the rest of her toast and proceeded to just sit back and enjoy the rest of her tea while Deil ate his meal. Turning to stared out the window, Misuki let her thoughts wonder back to happier times when her parents were still alive and unconciously began tapping her right fingers against the wooden table in a soft, slow, and complex beat. 'I was so carefree back then, I never had to face the fear and troubles of being hunted and if I'll be able to find my next meal...those past 8 years were rough but I made it through somehow and that's all that matters...'

Deil ate another bite of food, and had gotten about halfway through his food throughout the conversation. Deil looked out the window where Misuki was looking, and right at that moment three figures in black and red garbs passed the window and entered the restaurant a few moments earlier. They came over to Misuki and Deil's table. "We are your escorts for the chunin exams. If you have all of your gear ready, we need to leave now." Deil sighed and looked over at Misuki. "Well, I'm ready if you are." Deil reached into his pocket and pulled out a coin worth the meal and a little more than enough for the standard tip. He laid it on the table and waited for Misuki's response.
