Sora approached the village gates running at a normal pace for a kunoichi as she usually did. Sliding to a stop, she eagerly looked around for Nagisa. After her eyes failed to spot her friend, the girl yelled out, "NAGISA!!!!!!!!!" in her usual, cheerful tone. Yes, of course, she still felt bad about leaving behind Misaki, but it wasn't in Sora's nature to stay feeling bad. At least, it wasn't in her nature to continue showing it. Just as she still wanted to find Aoi without fail but didn't have it consume every minute of her waking life.

Hibari arrives at the gates with his backpack being carried over his left shoulder. As he reached the meeting place, the only one he could see was a short blonde girl. 'Nagisa's not here?' he questioned himself in his thoughts and then turned to the girl. "Hello." Hibari greeted her trying to start a conversation and find out if she was told to be there by Nagisa just like he was. "Are you waiting for Nagisa too?" he asked.
As he finished asking, Hibird caught up and landed on his backpack.

Haruka had been walking without paying attention to where she went, but as she got close to the gates, she noticed two shinobi by the entrance of the village. One of them was Sore, a genin that Haruka knew but she didn't know the other one. Yet, it didn't matter if she knew him or not, Haruka walked to them so she could greet them properly, and get to know him of course. "Hello!" she said to the two shinobi and waited for a reply. At that moment, Haruka became curious and wanted to ask why they were there, but she controlled herself and waited for their reply.

Nagisa was late, an occurance that would appear unusual to anyone who knew her well. However, moments after Haruka approached the two team-members another figure approached from the distance. It was a person wearing a heavy coat that was almost, but not quite, like those used by the Aburame, but it would not appear to be Nagisa. Rather than her normal attire Nagisa had donned a disguise that would be near impossible to see through even for friends. Her coat had a slightly shorter collar, though it reached all the way to her ankles, and had an odd bluish hue. Her hair, normally left loose, was put up in a bun. Rather than the Aburame sunglasses, she wore a pair of false eyeglasses. Even her face was slightly changed using her personal disguise kit.
Stopping before the group she spoke loudly. "Hello, I was sent in Nagisa's stead. Unfortunately she has come down with an illness and will be unable to continue the mission as planned. My name is Asuka and I have been asked to lead you in her stead." Her voiice was slightly different as well as her mannerisms. She stooped and gave a deep bow to the group. "I am an Aburame scholar, and will assist you in finding some rare bugs for the Aburame collection. Unfortunately I do not have the skill of Nagisa and will need you as escorts to the fire country." She finally rose from her bow and looked at the group. Haruka was not originally a team-member, but the false persona Asuka did not know that.
((OK, Haruka, Nagisa has roped you in by pretending not to know exactly who her "escorts" were to be. We will be going to the bug forest in fire country.))

After several minutes of not hearing anything, Sora was just about to deflate at having arrived too early--the girl never knew Nagisa to be late very often--when she saw someone else come by, someone who knew Nagisa. "Ah! Hello and yep yep! I'm waiting for Nagisa!" the girl greeted loudly and cheerfully just as Haruka came up and greeted them. At that point she directed her speech to the familiar kunoichi. "Hey Haruka! How are you doing?". Sora, being as lively as always, quickly transitioned once more so that she was clearly speaking to the strange boy, "Oh! Right, can't believe I forgot to introduce myself. The name is Sora Hikari. Nice to meet you, what's your's?". As she introduced herself in her exuberant manner, she bounced up and down slightly on the balls of her feet, a movement that caused her hair to periodically bounce up and down with her.
Several moments was all that was needed for Sora to speed through with her chatter. Just in time, too, as just as Sora finished, yet another stranger appeared, one that bore worrisome news. "Ah! Nagisa is sick?! Will she be alright? Urgh, maybe I should stay behind and watch over her?" the girl asked/mumbled to Asuka/herself; even in her worry her hyperactiveness could be seen. Now, the exuberant bouncing from before had turned into a nervous bouncing and her smile had completely turned upside down.

With the girl's cheerful reply Hibari smiled as an automatic response. He turned around to see who greeted them, while Sora was already talking to that person. "Oh, hello." he said to Haruka.
After Sora introduced herself, Hibari did the same. "I'm Hibari Dragonil, pleased to meet you." he said with a polite tone, directing his words to both of them.
Moments later, with the arrival of the Aburame girl, he listened to what she said while keeping his calm, even though Sora was nervous. "She is ill? That's really unfortunate. Well I hope she gets better really quickly." Hibari said keeping his calm tone. "I'm Hibari Dragonil, pleased to meet you." he introduced himself again, this time to Asuka who wasn't there when he said his name before.

Haruka quickly turned to Sora as she was called. "I'm fine. The past days have been busy but now I have a lot of free time!" she replied cheerfully like Sora. The kunoichi turned then to the guy as Sora introduced herself and asked his name. Being the only one left to introduce herself, Haruka didn't want to be rude. "I'm Haruka Tsukai. Nice to meet you." she said with a kind smile.
As another person arrived, a girl that introduced herself as being an Aburame scholar, Haruka understood why they were there. 'So they are going on a mission.' she thought and as Asuka seemed to believe Haruka was also part of the team, she decided to go with them. "I'm Haruka Tsukai." she said and bowed too. "As you may need a medical shinobi in case something happens, I'll go with you." Haruka finished. Even though she was not asked to take part in that, if they don't refuse her help she should be ok.

Asuka bowed to the three genin as they introduced themselves. When Sora talked about staying behind to look after Nagisa she spoke up. "Nagisa expected that you would say something of the sort, It isn't anything serious and she believes it is important that you participate in this mission for multiple reasons." She quietly wrote a letter as the group all chattered away, and then called over a young boy. "Excuse me, but could you take this to the raikage's office?" she said quietly and gave the boy some coins to pay for his help. He nodded and ran off into the distance just as everyone was finishing their chatter.
Asuka bowed once more to the group. "I hope that you will be able to protect me during this journey." It was a quick way of letting everyone know that she wasn't an actual shinobi and would not be leading the mission. Of course, she would, but it would be from the shadows. "Who is the team leader"" she asked innocently. Deciding on a team leader would be a challenge and a test. It was likely there would be some fighting for the position. If that didn't happen then the exact opposite would, and noone would be willing to take the position.

Sora looked up as she was addressed and nodded in understanding as she replied in a worried tone, "Alright, if Nagisa really thinks I should...." During the pause in important conversation that followed, Sora kept track of the actions of others as she set to convincing herself that Nagisa would be alright. Then, the girl couldn't help be somewhat surprised as Asuka bowed. The entire time, the girl had thought that Asuka was a shinobi, not a civilian. Of course, she had said nothing of that sort, but Sora had assumed that as Nagisa's replacement, Asuka would take on the position of leader. Of course, seeing how she wasn't a shinobi, that was now not possible. Well, no, it was possible, just not customary.
At the last question, the girl watched for everyone else's reactions. Sora knew that this was a tricky question to answer. She had seen numerous arguments amongst both shinobi and civilian childern over who would be the leader of some group in one game or another. Although, the girl also noticed that there were usually just as many people arguing for the position as there were people noticeably shrinking away from the center to prevent anyone from suggesting them as leader. Sora herself fell in the middle group, she was the type that really didn't care. If no one stepped up, she would; if someone did, she wouldn't argue. However, she didn't remain silent. Instead, to ease any confusion that Asuka might have had, the girl politely replied with a smile, "Well, I think we all assumed that you would be the leader seeing how Nagisa was to be our original leader if she hadn't gotten ill. Now, though, we're not sure."

'Asuka, Haruka and Sora.' Hibari made sure to remember the name of the three he would go in a mission with. Knowing Haruka was a medical shinobi was good knews for him. With her help, even if they are injured they would be able to continue. Hibari was quite confident of his fighting abilities but he didn't know how well he would perform with a team. That mission would indeed give him experience.
With Asuka's question, about who was the leader, Hibari also wondered and questioned himself about that. But just as soon as he started thinking about that, Sora came with an answer. "Sora stated exactly what I thought." he said, agreeing with what the girl said.

Haruka didn't know who was supposed to be the captain so she remained silent as the other two agreed that Asuka should lead them. For the sake of not being rude, she nodded agreeing with what they said. "So...are you going to be our leader?" she asked Asuka wondering if that was what she planned or not. If Asuka doesn't lead them, one of the three would have to take the position as leader, but Haruka wouldn't accept it, she's not the leader kind of person.

Asuka's face twisted into an expression of disgust. "This is the best the village has to offer? three genin who can't even decide on a leader? I'm insulted that Nagisa would entrust my life to some Academy Students such as yourselves" she frowned. "How the hell am I supposed to lead a squad of genin? I don't know the first thing about being a shinobi, i'm simply a scholar for the Aburame clan!"

Sora thought as Hibari and Haruka built on what she said, but not in the direction she wanted it to go, The girl had made her comment only as an explanation, not as a suggestion. It was supposed to be an excuse of sorts for the bickering or hesitation that would result from the debate on who the leader should be. the girl wondered to herself as she prepared to make herself clear, to politely clarify what she had really meant the statement to be.
Then Asuka just had to say what she said. Honestly, the girl would have been more polite about her reply if Nagisa hadn't been targeted. It was one thing to insult Sora, the girl was used to teachers complaining about her many un-ninja-like qualities, but it was another thing to insult Nagisa for no good reason. "Wait!" the girl pouted as she retorted, "Don't blame Nagisa! It's not her fault that she's sick! There's no way she would have foreseen something like this happening!" Suddenly, the genin seemed to deflate as she remembered her manners. She continued in a more controlled tone, guessing and hoping that she was speaking truthfully for the entire group, "I'm sorry, but this is our first time meeting you and, for me at least, the first time we've left the village for a mission without a chuunin or higher escort. We had no direct knowledge that you were not a shinobi, even if we did notice that you seemed to imply such information. I'm sure that my fellow genin and I just wanted to make sure that you really weren't a chuunin and not just rely on guesses and implications, since it is highly abnormal for us to be given full reign of a mission outside of the village without someone of higher-rank chaperoning us. As such, we apologize for our misunderstanding, and ask that you give us a few extra moments to choose a team leader."
After finishing her little speech, the girl turned to her teammates and posed a direct question, one that she hoped left no room for going in the wrong direction, "So, any volunteers for team leader?".

Hibari waited before saying anything, allowing Sora to say what was on her mind, but he didn't completely agree with the girl. He'd not apologize to someone expressing such a rude and disgusted behavior. "Before anything else, before underestimating or even thinking about looking down on us, you should look at yourself and what you said before." Hibari said as his demeanor changed by Asuka's disgusted tone. "You look down on us because of the simple fact that we are genin, when you stated that you are a simple scholar." he said, and just as soon as he was finished with that, he continued speaking but with a different tone as he turned to Sora. " I guess it can't be helped, we can't just hope everything will be solved by a stranger who is helpless go to out of the village without this genin group. If there is no objection I don't mind becoming the leader for this team." Hibari's tone changed as he showed he was serious about the mission, while still showing sarcasm with his words. It is unusual for him to change his tone like that but he'd not allow anyone to look down on him without ever seeing what he can do. Now the only thing left to do was to wait for their answer.
