Nadia watched as the blinding red egg creacked open and she sighed in relief that the little dragon inside hadn't been injured in the battle before, as she watched the green she tensed when it glared at the boys images of the boys who had gotten hurt before flashed through her mind but the interaction between the newly hatched green and the bronze made her smile. Small things in big packages indeed.

Each time the Queen moved before them and sat up, Amoreth's heart would beat a little faster, only to have it return to its normal pace with each time she sank back down and continued her searching. Well, she wanted to make the right decision after all. She would be allowed all the time in the world and they would remain patient for her.

The small green broke free from the vibrant red shell, her eyes falling on the boys with somewhat of an angry expression. Amoreth, at the sound of the shell splitting, looked upward again, mentally pleased that the Dragonet hadn't been damaged by the squabble from earlier--that is when the bronze released a soft crooning sound, catching the green's attention. She looked over at him, and he gave her an incline of his head, which seemed to ease the green's manner.

She trotted over to the girls, most with their heads still dipped down to honor the Queen. Shells, she was a pretty little green, even for one so small! Amoreth knew all about small, being so short all of her life, and she was still relatively short given her age. Nevertheless, her height didn't deter her from strengthening her mind and body. Oh, this green had much potential yet.

Trista sighed in relief as a little green hatched out of the blinding red egg. She had worried about it after the tussle her siblings had had. Then she couldn't give the green further attention because the little gold was staring at her and it would be impolite to not give the gold her full attention. When the gold pased her on, she turned to look toward the green once more wondering who the bold little green would impress as it seemed the small queen was going to take her time at impressing.

Which was fair enough as a queen she had to choose well and wisely if the weyr was to prosper.

As if the tension wasn't bad enough, the queen had to come around to look at all of the girls again. And not only that, she chose to look all of them right in the eye, and as she came around again, simply started staring. Each time, Kyllae wondered if impression had been made, and each time, it seemed the queen found some reason to move on. Or was it more than that, was she getting to know all of the girls? Now there was a thought. Who knew what a baby dragonet could feel about a person. Surely they felt something, could know people's emotions and the true selves. Was the queen getting to know all of these girls, before she impressed and lost that ability?

Her own heart took off when it was her turn, and though she didn't stare back at the little queen, that would be rude, she did have a healthy interest in her, and gave a polite little curtsy. When she moved on...Kyllae wasn't sure what to think. Didn't know what to do, so instead, focused on the green that rammed her way out of her egg. Wow, what a fierce, strong little green! She looked quite determined. And intent on impressing a girl, if the way she glared at the boys was any indication. The bronze was sweet though, mellow and gentlemanly, and Kyllae smiled at his display. Good for him.

Another for the girls, hmm? High Reaches certainly would have many, many female riders before this was over. Leicha mused himself on this thought as he watched the haughty green make her way towards the females, and he pondered about getting up from where he stayed knelt down. The sands were hot on his knees and the Queen seemed overly distracted by the girls it was inspecting, but . . .

Better to be safe than sorry, he stayed down.

Good, its okay!

It appeared that dragon eggs were much hadier than Panata had thought them to be, this new Green emerging without even so much as a bruise it seemed, and he gave a sigh of relief and nerves. The eggs were hatching much faster now, hardly any relief in between, and yet he . . .

Focus!

Panata was finding himself more and more liking the bronze, thankful that this one at least had some manners. It was a polite dragon, to say the least, and he wondered if when he spoke would he sound formal as well? that thought amused him, since he'd never heard a dragon before anyway.

Arolon faced the scrutiny of the angry green. Why was she mad at us guys? What did we do? Is it the bowing thing? He had really liked her as an egg, it sucked to be glared at like a criminal. He stood now, done with being half bent over the sand. He wasn't rebelling against the young queen, she's given him no reason to. So what was the green's problem? Was Blinding Red taking it out on us, what her brothers almost did to her? Still he loved her attitude and spirit, he admired it in her. Now how many unhatched eggs were left? He started counting. The three dragonets on the sand weren't paying much attention to the boys anyway. Why not look for an egg to hatch a dragon who would look upon us without anger?

The dark haired girl took her eyes off watching the queen search the girls, which she found rather interesting, to see the Blinding Red hatch. She was glad her guess that it was okay had been right. For a second she had a flash of concern that the green would try to provoke the bronze who was still – still! – presiding over the eggs and little queen. They didn’t need any more clashes between dragonets after all. But it was a short lived worry as she saw the charming sight of the bronze greeting the green and melting her hostility. Soon the new green was coming to girls as well to find Hers. Hopefully the green and gold would likewise be on good terms...

Poor boys. The girls of High Reaches momentarily had all the attention.

It seemed to Mishaal that the bronze really was just patient and choosing to stand guard over his fellows for a time before finding His own. Earlier worries over him going Between seemed to be proving unfounded. Interesting.

Everyone held their breath when the two female dragons on the sands crossed paths. If the brown and bronze could fight it out, what was stopping these two from it? Both of such strong character, none the less.

Their fears were put to rest when both walked past each other, in opposite directions, almost close enough to touch and still there were no problems. Was there some unspoken agreement between them? Had the queen not cared which of these girls was taken out of her options?

High Reaches would be left to guess on that, but guessing was not on the agenda of this green. She cast each girl a passing glance, curious, but not so much interested in most of them.

She reached Amoreth and stopped to look the girl over, then kept going, stopping again in front of Kyllae.

Sellae couldn't stop her small giggle as the green stomped over to the clutch and glared at the boys. "Wrong group of boyos to be glaring at, dear." she whispered, ever-so-softly. And then paused, breath catching, as the gold came back to peer at her again. "Lady." she murmured, respectful.

And then the gold was past her, and the green was headed for the girls.

Nathail kept his sights glued on the Sands from the moment that bronze and brown started their fight, to when they finally Impressed. He'd given a bow for the Queen hatchling, even if he didn't really want to encourage that ego, and not just.. watched.

A blue found His, and now a green was headed for the girls. Wow, this hatching was not disappointing in the excitement and things constantly happening, at all.

Honestly, Gylren should have bet on the Hatching--he'd have made a killing. Except for the Gold hatching, he had been right since the angry Bronze, something that amazed him. He was distracted from the beautiful Gold by the Blinding Red Egg's hatching, revealing a small but handsome little Green. The first Bronze that still had not Impressed bowed his head to her, and Gyl watched as the Green trotted off to the girls. Seemed that nothing was heading the boys' way for a while.

...though he perked up when the Green stopped in front of Kyllae. He remembered her from the whole 'adventure' in the Kitchens, and he had hoped that she would Impress. Maybe she would be lucky and this pretty Green was the one for her?

She watched as the green and gold passed each other without so much as a glance to eachother, she watched the green wondering who it was going to impress to and when it stopped in front of Kyllae she smiled, another easy impression would be good after the earlier chaos.

Silent assurance settled over them as the queen and the green passed each other without issue. The green stepped forward and angled her eyes at each of them, then walked to stand in front of herself. Amoreth blinked, one eyebrow rising slightly, a half-smile pulling at the corner of her mouth in a silent greeting.

She was an adorable little hatchling, the young woman decided, and her emerald eyes, radiant with color and life, watched as the hatchling passed on to Kyllae. There, she lingered for a while--had she made her decision? That would be absolutely perfect. Another Impression without incident!
Curiosity ate away at the Candidate's mind, almost as much as the anxiety accompanying the queen's decision was.

After watching the little green impress Trista turned her attention back to the gold. She had no aspirations of becoming a gold rider but she did wonder who the little one was going to chose.

Leicha watched with amusement as the Green passed by the chatty girl from before - Amoreth - while heading towards the girl next to her. He would have liked to hear that she had to say then, if only to see if she was upset or nervous with the scrutinizing that these two dragonets seemed to be placing on them. Male dragons hardly seemed to be so picky, so why were these two?
