[[Vain]]

"Death out of a Father's Pride"

___[Traverse Town .:. Mystical House]

"I would thank you to not refer to me by some sort of pronoun, 'wizard'. I am the Revblade, the legenda-" -ry... Hey, what's the big idea, Vain? I was talking, dammit.

But that was all Vain would hear, having already sheathed the Revblade and holding out his right arm, the claw hand of darkness now in plain sight as he said, "The Revblade is not why I am here, sir. It may feed upon darkness but it keeps right hand in check, which happens to be the reason I am here." He let his arm drop to his side before slipping both hands in his pockets, the casual look on his face greatly contrasting the manners in his voice.

"The Revblade also led me here in search of answers as to why my hand is like this. No doubt it wishes to completely devour the darkness in my hand-"

Damn straight.

"-But I am not about to let it have my arm. I come to you seeking aid in removing this plague from my hand, sir." Vain politely fell to one knee, looking to the ground as he said, "I beseech you, Wizard- help me remove this curse."

"Mercy out of a Father's Cry."

{ Don't underestimate the light. }

[Traverse Town : Mystical House]

"Hello, denizens. Pleasure to meet you."

"Hello," Mina said. It was an automatic response. She didn't even think about jumping back. She'd have to be afraid of the thing first, and Mina was many things, but jumpy-scared of a sword with an eye on it was not one of them. She did, however, twitch her tail a bit more, and move her head to one side as if to get a better angle on it.

Of more pressing concern was Vain's arm, now quiet visible as a clawed thing, covered in a sort of darkness. The sword kept that in check? Devours darkness? Mina let out a little, "Huh," and scratched at the back of her head as she considered it. Like Merlin, her eyes also narrowed, but at that statement more than any other thing. Devours darkness... something like that would most likely be dangerous to everyone around. She'd have to stick by him for a while, and make sure nothing bad would come of it. She shared a look with Merlin then, a look meant to convey that very thing.

Vain dropping to a knee put them almost at eye level -well, closer anyway. She wasn't about to get in the way while he was talking to Merlin, so she politely stepped aside. Merlin would be able to help, for sure. He was Merlin! If anyone knew about this sort of thing, it was a great wizard like him.

{Don't fear the dark... fear what's in it.}

[Castle Oblivion : Kitchen]

With just one move, and a non-offensive one at that, Masenko had managed to chase Fal'navi out of the room. Zekvyr could only imagine what effect that smoke held within it. Knowing Masenko, he'd guess it was a sleep spell. Or paralysis. Whichever one to shut them up. The drow frowned, upset at the interruption.

He didn't have any weapon against this. No magical item to make him immune, no way to defend. Sure, he could attack, but there were several problems with that. The first being the crossing of a line. He had already fought one other member of the Conclave today. He would seem overly unhinged if he attacked another, and he remembered well what was told to him when he first joined. Survival came first.

Then there was the second. How would he fight against Masenko anyway? This was a thought that had both amused and frustrated him on more than one occasion. The only conclusion he had ever come to was one of an embarrassing defeat, his defeat, and not an ending he liked to contemplate. Unless he had some way of defending against that smoke, some form of immunity, he could not win.

What a perfect mood killer. Zekvyr did the only thing he could, and left the room, shooting Masenko a disproving glance as he did. He leaned up against the wall outside of the kitchen, a frown on his face, and wondered if Alice was asleep in her corner by this time.

{Ignorance is bliss... until reality throws a Heartless siege at you.}

[Traverse Town : First District]

As the small child suddenly appeared, shouting proclamations of loyalty and outrage, Soryuju was so baffled he almost stopped healing the wounds all-together; however, he managed to come through, and after a few moments, Suzuran was back to 100% health. He gave a small grin and a nod. "There, should be good to go- let's finish this beast off then!"

Grabbing his spear from his side, he gave a quick twist of his wrist, flourishing the spear a clear 360-degrees to his side as he rose and faced the giant. It needed to be destroyed, and a-sap.

Let's slow it down!

Charging his legs with energy, he leapt clear to the side- toward the Gummi Hangar doors, to be precise. With a quick flip, however, he twisted his body so that his feet pushed against the doors- once more charged with energy to take to force of the spring-effect that immediately launched him again, at a 90-degree angle...

Within a matter of seconds, he'd managed to get behind the massive Heartless, and with one deep breath, he released a freezing blast of air- Blizzard Breath, which would do magical ice damage and even freeze parts of the Heartless entirely, making him that much easier to kill.

{A heart shed for power is the only heart of worth.}

[Traverse Town : First District]

Vereor's eyes narrowed somewhat in thought at the sound of the name, repeating it in his head a few times. Diogenes' likely did not notice such a minor detail, but his words had caused one of the jewels on Vereor's coat to briefly gleam, as if a streetlamp's light had reflected off of it in a weird way. There was a pause, a time of quiet; Zigmund had stepped through the portal mere moments ago, in the middle of the conversation, which drew the Dark Corridor behind him to a close. As the portal closed, the gem seemed to dimly shine once again.

"If Aloysius is someone of the same bloodline as you, despite not releasing the same mental energies as you, then he stands below us as we speak, fighting off that Heartless," Vereor replied, finally speaking due to the presence of Zigmund, not wanting to leave him out. "Where we are going, however, he will not be able to follow. If the two of you are still interested, then meet me at the top of the Bell Tower in a few moments- I apologize, but there is one other I must speak to before we depart."

And without another word, he vanished again into a Dark Corridor of his own, leaving the two Nobodies to fend for themselves.

---

Appearing once again on a nearby rooftop, just out of everyone's sight, Vereor stepped out of the Dark Corridor, this time behind a woman who still had her heart... a woman who used the wind to give her strength.

"Good evening. Enjoying yourself?"

"Make it easier on yourself and tell me what you’re thinking, I already know”

[Traverse Town :: First District :: Rooftops ]

User Image Diogenes was about to speak with Vereor disappeared into the Dark Corridor.

"I plan on being there, as soon as I confront my beloved brother. So for now, I bid you farewell"

Diogenes nodded at Zigmund and slid back down the roof, looking out over the ledge at the battle taking place. Sure enough, as soon as he concentrated on their thought, Aloysius was there, and fighting along all of the other pathetic children.

What is he thinking? Such a disgrace to our name

The Nobody jumped from the roof and with the grace of a cat, landed perfectly in front of his brother. Diogenes didn't waste a second to speak, still living on the element of surprise that his brother was feeling.

"Speechless? You know, I wouldn't expect any less from you, frater. Even though I was searching for you, part of me though...no let me correct myself, part of me hoped that you were dead. Not to say you aren't, in a way. Am I incorrect?"

[ The Macabre Horror ]

[Traverse Town: First District]

As it's attack was deflected by the fire bullet, the Heartless released a strange roar, yet keeping its eyes on Suzu- only to watch as the wind itself struck her down. Moving in for the kill, however, it felt a number of watery missiles and rocks strike at its side, causing it to feel outraged, turning to glare at its secondary target- Kuumaru; it completely ignored Aloysius. Once again, it brought the guillotine blade around, readying to cut the man off.

Of course, being so focused on Kuumaru, it never saw the uppercut coming- the uppercut which did, in fact, send it into the air, only to have Elde knock it right back down to the ground, releasing a monstrous groan. It used the wheel-arm to lift itself up, slowly attempting to get back on its legs... only to have the majority of his lower body completely frozen by the ice breath attack from behind.

The beast roared, flailing it's guillotine arm around before forcefully bringing it down, yet again on Suzuran, remaining utterly focused on the the girl, attempting to strike her down...

"Let us try this one last time. My name is Aloysius…A-lo-see-us"

[Traverse Town :: Second District]

User Image

Aloysius was preparing himself for another attack, when a blur cut off his path. When he was able to focus his brother stood in front of him. Surprise and alarm were the first feelings to hit the Kuluu, followed closely by anger and hate.

"You think I don't feel the same? The only reason I knew you were still alive is because I saw you! You let me become this, you watched as those creature..." Aloysius pointed at the nearby giant heartless "...killed everyone, including your own family."

Aloysius was breathing hard and glaring at his twin, but he also knew that, in life, the Zilart was stubborn and it would do no good to even argue with him.

He tried to gather himself and settle down, but that was an impossible task as he stared at his nemesis.

"Even without my tribe I have my family."

The Ronso shook some ice fragments off of his arms and shoulders as he looked around for Colorai. She was right where he had left her, hugging her stuffed cat tightly and staring wide-eyed at he Guardian.

Xifan shook his head and took off for another strike at the now partly frozen heartless. This time focusing on the lower part of the beast, Xifan struck with his lance and watched as ice shrapnel flew from the area the weapon hit.

[Tsurumi]

I'd prefer if you were to just...

...disappear

{Traverse Town ~ First District ~ Rooftops}

Tsurumi watched as the large Heartless was attacked, not moving a finger to aid it. She had stopped protecting it after the first child (Mitsudo) appeared. She didn't hurt children, it was one of her things. She didn't care for most humans, but she found that children were innocent and she didn't enjoy stripping them of their lives. Granted...this child seemed to be a lot stronger than any other child she had ever seen, except for the child magi of Crinosis. And this child was using physical attacks. How...curious. The thought of attacking crossed her mind and she mulled over it for a bit, but when the young girl (Colorai) appeared, all thoughts of that ceased. It didn't matter if she had a guardian or not, a stray attack could still kill her.

Tsurumi smirked a little as the Heartless took a beating below her, being systematically destroyed. She was a bit sad that her new toy was being broken, but it would have bored her eventually. Looking on, she noticed a sudden disruption in the air currents behind her and three options occured to her. She could kill the intruder, run, or, if the intruder was capable of intelligent thought and had something of interest to her, she would listen.

"Good evening. Enjoying yourself?"

"Quite. It's rather comical watching these peons crawl about trying to defeat something as simple as this. And yourself? Having a nice stroll?" She said casually, not taking her eyes off of the battle. Normally she would have been colder towards him, but there was something about him. His presence felt dangerous, deadly, something that was not to be taken lightly for fear of consequences. He could make for a lovely new toy.

Zigmund

[Traverse Town First District: Rooftops> Street

I've got it. Zigmund thought as he went through names and titles he had picked up, hobbies, habits, personality traits, and even an odd thought about his former self that he quickly repressed to the back of his mind. He was so busy thinking, in fact, that he failed to notice Vereor leave until he walked through, in time enough to see his new employer talking with some ginger-haired nobody who's name he didn't quite catch.

And then Vereor disappeared off into the distance, Ginger (as he was currently named) had gone down to confront his...brother, and there was a quite a battle going on bellow.

Deciding that the drama would be more interesting then the battle, Zigmund jumped down from the roof, (using his magnetism to let himself land rather easily, if not a bit loudly, near the two brothers. As he straitened up, the words
"...killed everyone, including your own family." happened to brush past his ears.

"Oh dear, we're dealing with one of those 'brooding avenger' types, aren't we?" he sighed.

[Traverse Town :: First District :: Rooftops ]

User Image Diogenes had retrieved his dagger, out of nowhere, as his brother was talking and began to focus all his attention on the weapon as the accusations were thrown at him.

"Hmm, if you are quite finished. I have more important matters to deal with"

The Nobody abruptly turned around and gracefully stomped away, his tattered scarf flowing behind him.

"Don't fret, Phoenix. You shall see me again. Adieu" Diogenes didn't turn around to speak, just continued walking towards the doors to the next district. For a second he glanced over at Zigmund and rolled his eyes, forming the word 'family' with his mouth before turning a corner.

[[Masenko-Ma]]

"If at first you don't succeed..."

___[Castle Oblivion .:. Kitchen]

Masenko laughed a bit as the smoke was suddenly sucked back into his hands. He knew it was an unfair and dirty tactic to use his smoke in such a manner, but he wasn't about to just let Zekvyr and Fal'Navi ruin his mood. Once the smoke had completely dissipated, the young man went back to the fridge for another bottle of hot sauce and followed after Zekvyr, chugging the sauce straight from the bottle as he leaned against the wall next to his "rival".

He offered the bottle to Zekvyr with a smile as he said, "Drink?"

"... Then you were taught by losers."

{You look like you fell down a tree and hit every possible branch on the way down.}

[Traverse Town :: First District]

"Thanks a bundles!" Suzu said with a smile as the last of her wounds closed. She reached over to grab her scythe before scrambling back onto her feet. Looks like she'd just have to mend her clothes when she had free time, luckily she had a kit on the ship. She was about to attack when she realized that the heartless was yet again brought it's arm upon her. Her eyes widened as she brought her scythe up to counter it. She didn't quite anticipate the force of it nor the pressure that weighed down on her body.

"What the rabbits?!" Was it just her? Or was it specifically seeking to chop her head clean off her shoulders? Biting down on her lip, Suzu tried to knock back the heartless by overturning the ground it tread on. She had no intention of being chopped into tiny little pieces.

"Oh? You've got my nose? *riiiiiip* Well, I've got your arm."

[Traverse Town::First District]

Mitsudo couldn't help but smirk with success as the other person added onto his gravitational uppercut. But his smirk vanished quickly as the monster got back up and begun attacking the princess, things just jumped up a darn level!

He made a mad dash for Suzu, re-extending his claws and preparing to block her. Sadly, he missed Suzu's earth shifting, and ended up stumbling into a wall. "...This is not how to defend a princess...Ow."
