"I sure hope not. My headache was caused by making a small part of my brain die from severe strain. Still, lets see if I can repeat what I did to cure myself." He placed both hands on the side of her head and started to build up life force. He poured the life force into her head, looking for the place where she was pained. He closed his eyes, one of them twitching as he guided the flow of life force through her mind. "This would be easier if you were conscious, but this just might work."

I see the angels, I'll lead them to your door... "But I am conscious," thought Lightning, "You just don't know it!" At that point, the vague, blurry image of Question was replaced by a giant, bloodthirsty polar bear, causing her to drift off again. Fortunately, the pain was lessened greatly. A polar bear with large teeth wasn't really bad compared to the headache, which had now nearly subsided. Whatever Question was doing, it was working. The image of the bear flickered as Lightning wondered whether the Doctor would be alright. Just as soon as it disappeared, though, the bear came back, although this time, it was covered in honey. Lightning's breathing began to slow to its normal pace. ...There's no escape now, no mercy no more.

Remus nodded to Chris and rested his hand on his sidearm to reassure him.
"A soldier to the end, eh? Have you ever taken any leave? You should try the finer things outside the military sometime." Remus replied.
"I mean, don't you ever get sick of putting on the same uniform every day to go push boots around?"

Skutz looked up as he woke from his dozing. "Man, these couches are comfy," he took notice on Koakie and decided to watch her for his amusement, and hopefully to learn something about her. Skutz may have been in this guild, but he had much to learn about it's members, even though there is a bio page.

A familiar cackle filled the tavern, and a tall, pale, well-endowed Raven sauntered in.
"..I heard something about invading my castle, and I've come to say that it's not happening," Raven said glaring at Remus, and then taking a seat next to a good looking demon at the tavern.

Question, exhausted, hit Lightning on the forehead with his right palm, causing the life force in her mind to ignite (not literally). It soon dissipated, but it had a great healing effect over her mind. With his work done, Question walked to a comfier chair and slumped down into it. 'She's lucky. She didn't have a dead portion of her brain, so it all healed. I'll never use psionic powers again.'

Kaok shrugged. "There are times that I feel tired of it, and times where it doesn't go well for me. Times where my troops make me want to pull every last one of my hairs out."
She took a pause and a breath to collect herself.
"I just don't have much else to do, or anywhere to go really. I love what I do, anyways."

Emma appeared from the shadows in a corner of the tavern, looking shaken, but in a good way. She gathered her senses and looked around, smoothing her skirts absentmindedly.

Raven drummed her fingers on the table, as she was chatting it up with the darkling that she found was a high mage employed by some dark lord in the Underworld. She hardly noticed when Chris left the Tavern.
"Humph.." the vampiress turned her nose up to the other chatter in the Tavern, during her first moments there, she had figured that it was not her scene. The lack of half naked men, flirtatious women, and drunken has beens had bothered her. The abundance of civility and courtesy nearly made her leave immediately.

I see the angels, I'll lead them to your door... Now, the entirety of the world was drifting away, leaving her mind to herself... and a little kitten, who had replaced the bear. Seeing the kitten reminded her of Question, and she made a mental note to thank him the next time she was capable of it. The headache was completely gone now, and contented, Lightning really did go to sleep.

Remus paused to give a quick death glance at Raven. "Your primitive dark age fortress will fall before my technological might!" he quickly replied to her in his booming Imperial voice.
Then, turning back to Kaokie, his voice was soft again. "I know how you feel. I'm responsible for a whole Empire, spanning over the star systems. Why do you think my hair is this color?" Remus laughed.
Remus looked at his watch and saw that it was getting quite late. "I gotta go, Kaokie. I hope we can meet again like this more often." he said, squeezing her hand. With that, he saluted her and got up to leave, his two Praetorian Guardsmen flanking his sides.
((Goodnight you guys. And Emma, I will badger you about your meeting with a legend tomorrow.))

"Damn... I didn't think I'd get worn out so easily. Still, I think I got enough energy for one last thing." He stood up from his chair and turned towards Raven. He was silent for a few moments, and then he cleared his throat. "Ahem... SUPER MEGA WACKY AWESOME TURBO GLOMP ATTAAAAAAACK!" He jumped over his chair towards her, hoping that this was worth it.

Lt. Jayim gave a better salute than she had earlier as the Imperator left, and for a while she just sat there - staring at the gloved hand that he had squeezed. If even the Emperor could detach himself from his job every once in a while... why couldn't Kaok?
After thinking about it a second; she knew didn't ask herself because she thought she would try it. She asked because she wanted to know what was wrong with herself.
The Lieutenant sighed and after a while of this thinking... she left, too.
((I should be leaving soon, too. I have to get up and run in the morning. XP))
