Xu stopped when they entered the length of meadow, and forest. Making the vines leave Schraeder on a soft looking patch of grass, Xu returned the vine into his bag. At first, he took a deep breath, inhaling the scent of the forest into him. Putting his hand on the ground, Xu released a wave of his lime green aura into the ground. He closed his eyes, looking for a tree that matched his criteria. It wasn't long before he found it.
Standing up, Xu walked over to a rather short tree, which supported a healthy dense bunch of leaves over its squat trunk. The trunk itself was quite short, only being about four feet. The bushel of leaves above extended for an additional two feet. This one looks ideal. Putting his right hand onto the trunk, Xu released his aura into the tree, pumping energy into it. The crack and nooks of the tree's trunk and branches began to glow a dim lime. It was when the whole tree practically glowed, did Xu finally stop contact. Taking a few steps back, Xu took a deep breath, a case of nausea in his head. It dispersed after a few moments.
"Alright. Let's move," Xu stated as he walked back towards Schraeder's body. Amzaingly, the tree uttered a cracking sound, before uprooting itself and clumsily following Xu, using its roots as small tentacles. Now standing beside the still unconscious Schraeder, Xu pointed to the man. The tree stooped itself a bit, perhaps the tree equivalent of a nod, before using its roots to lift Schraeder gently onto its thick canopy of leaves. There, the branches made a small cradle, which Schraeder lied in snugly. Xu regarded his work for a moment. I got to remember this, he thought as he planned to make a picture of this in his journal later. Perhaps something like, "Mother Earth's Cradle."
Turning his attention back to Adela, he made sure to see that she was still alright. Good, it looks like he won't try to dismember her after all. Xu nodded at her instructions, walking slightly behind them. The tree-cradle lumbered closely behind.

Adela listened to the girl talk. French, eh? "Mira chica," she told the girl, "we all want answers." She saw the look of irritation pass the woman's face, so she added, "Sorry, it's a habit for me to speak Spanish a bit when I'm worn out." Yeaaah. When drunk, I speak nothing but Spanish. Same thing happened when just waking up in the morning, but that was a topic for another day.
She tried smiling at the female. "Right. Well, what I DO know is that there are two group apparently fighting. The ones with the freaky arms and the ones siding with Adams. I got recruited by the Adams. The guy in the basket, the guy ahead of us, and I are called Eves. This guy," she motioned to Saieve, "is a Host. Hence the freaky arm thing. I'm guessing that's who you are too." She stumbled a bit and had to hold on to Saieve a bit harder. "Vaya, quiero dormir," she mumbled.
"Anyway, dunno much more than that. I wanna get answers from the Adams about all this fighting. It seems there's more to it than what we've been told." When she looked up, she wore a bright smile. "Gracias a Dios! The Van!" A car had never looked more beautiful to her than that one.

Xu was suddenly hit with an overpowering wave of exhaustion; using his power as he had was too much for him, and he lost his footing. He fell with a thud and his vines retracted into the earth. Schraeder was lowered to the ground with a slight drop and awoke, gasping.
"Adela," he moaned. "Where...are we? What's happen...ing?" He rubbed his hand over his face. He had been through so much in the last few minutes, it was understandable that he was so confused.

Saieve glanced at Adela, cautious to alert Schraeder to his presence and cause him to panic. "Tell him the mission's over and we're heading home." Saieve whispered, though Adela was probably going to say something along the lines, "Y hazle saber que estás bien." he added, sensing a sort of attraction that Schraeder had towards Adela.
He could just know her best, but every time he wakes up, he asks for her.
Saieve's lips pursed as he fell into thought.
Just to keep him comfortable.

Adela flinched when Schraeder fell on the ground. She made a small affirmative grunt to Saieve before talking to her armless comrade. "We're still in the woods, Schraeder. But we're almost out. We're heading for the van to rest there, okay?" She'd have probably gone to him except that she was heavily relying on Saieve to keep her up; if she let go, she was gonna fall flat on her face.

"I can't...feel my arm," he moaned, his eyes drifting shut. "Someone...give...me a...hand up." He struggled valiantly to raise his head and failed at even that.
They were in bad shape. Adela couldn't stand without Sai, Xu was on the ground and found that his body wasn't responding, and Schraeder was the worst off with a missing arm and a body that was still deep in shock. Luckily, the van was nearby. It was, however, up to Saieve as to how to proceed.

Saieve inhaled sharply, his thoughts began to wander. All these people around him, they looked delicious.
Saieve shook his head to clear it, there could be none of that among people he hoped to make his allies.
Already having Adela with him, Saieve helped her to the van and opened the passenger door, gently helping her in and reclining the seat. He closed the door and gathered Xu, carefully placing him in the back.
Now time for Schraeder, hopefully he was too out of it to notice that he was being picked up by a Host and placed in the back of the van.

Schraeder was still conscious, miraculously. He groaned softly when Saieve picked him up, but was otherwise complacent. When they were halfway back to the car, Schraeder said, "Man...don't t...tell Adela...that you had...to carry me. Yeah?"
He smiled and opened his eyes, and for a few seconds didn't register who he was looking it. Schraeder had thought it was Xu carrying him, but such was not the case. His smile froze, then slowly slid away. "You...who are...you? I...know your face." His scrambled brain tried to work as he attempted to figure out who he was looking at.

Saieve smirked as he carried Schraeder and let out a small chuckle, "Don't worry, I won-" Ah, damn. It's alright, just don't panic him. "I'm a friend, don't strain yourself, close your eyes and get some rest."
Saieve gestured with his head towards the van and turned so Schraeder could see that he wasn't being taken to some unknown location.

Schraeder sighed and leaned back. "I don't...know why you...you're here, but...I won't...complain...for now." He coughed a little. "Though an...explanation would be...really nice."

"I'll explain on the ride back." he insisted as he gently placed Schraeder in the back of the van, setting him up in a comfortable position.
Before Schraeder could insist on an explanation, Saieve closed the van doors and hopped in the driver's seat. He glanced around for a bit, searching for the keys.
"Do any of you have the keys? No... Alright then, well..."
"Well, we can either wait or go and get the keys, and none of you look like waiting's a good idea, so..."
Saieve glanced at his hands, still mutated, and took sudden interest in his claws. Never been hot on hotwiring, I'd probably shock myself if I tried the wires, but this could work
He pressed his thumb and forefinger together and placed the tips of his claws into the ignition and turned it. The ignition cracked as the pins snapped, allowing Saieve to finish turning the ignition and start the van with his claws.
"So, do we need to pick anyone up?" Saieve asked, turning to Adela with a look of success.

Adela was sitting in the passenger's seat trying not to sleep. God, what a day. "Oye, you have any idea where we're going to go?" Saieve had already helped Xu get in the van and was working on getting Schraeder in as well. Nice guy.
Once Saieve got in the driver's seat, she watched as the Host hotwired the car...kind of. In his own way, she guessed? She started chuckling. "I was gonna suggest hotwiring it the old fashioned way, but you beat me to it. Nice trick." She wore a small smile; she was hoping he saw it as the joke it was meant to be. When asked about picking up anyone else, she put her hand to her chin. "Hmm. Only one I can think of picking up is Johann. He's a guy you haven't met. I think. And even then, I'm not sure if it's safe to go out and pick him up. Not in our condition at least," she stated.
She scratched the back of her head. "I say we get out of here - maybe go to a hospital for Schraeder. Johann can find us later."

Saieve smirked, "Thanks." he said, "This way's less shock-y if you mess up." He contemplated going to pick up Johann, but decided against it for both his sake and theirs, seeing as they didn't view it as safe.
"Well, let's go to the hospital." he said, putting the van in drive and heading back towards the city.
As he drove, he explained to Schraeder, regardless of his consciousness, about his experience with A and how he wanted to rejoin the program. Again, he neglected to mention Finnegan.
About halfway there, Saieve was overcome with a sudden worry. "Um...my hands." he pointed out, "I think they'll be less worried about Schraeder and more so with my "condition"... think either of you can walk yet?" he asked, referring to Xu and Adela, "Or at least have some cloth?"

Guess I kind of overdid it there... Xu thought as he lay on the ground. Xu felt dead tired, his heart was racing and his limbs numb. Guess this is what happens when you the Sigil use it too much, Xu concluded. He turned his head slightly when he heard Schraeder. At least he's awake now.
At least he was able to make it to the van before Saieve drove off. Inside Xu promptly drifted off. He was woken ever slightly when Saieve asked his question.
Shaking his head slightly, Xu replied "I think Adela and I can walk now."
"As for cloth," Xu thought, looking around, "You can rip some from your shirt, say you have an injury or something." Xu closed his eyes once again after giving his response. He was still tired from their assignment.

Saieve glanced at his hands, the fingerless leather gloves he always wore were all but completely destroyed from the constant shifting of his arms.
"I guess that will work." Saieve said, "But if I say I'm injured, they'll want to look at it, it's okay, I can think of something."
Eventually, they arrived at the hospital. Saieve parked the van by the ER and ripped the lower portion of his shirt off, revealing his well-toned abdomen. He tore the cloth in two and covered each of his arms and hands with it, completely cover his skin and making the wrapping thick enough to hide the unnatural largeness of his hands.
"Does any one else want to see the doctor, or just Schraeder? We also need a story as to how this happened."
He studied his hands more so, "I'm not so sure this will work, they're going to ask questions, we have a guy with a missing arm, you two dead tired, and me with both arms wrapped with a torn T-shirt."
