"Okay, story time", Emily thought as she created a story in her head. "Oh what the heck, I'll tell her the truth",she thought. "No,I don't know anyone who lives here. I was lost in the storm and needed to get to shelter. It is pretty bad out there you know!" As Emily explained, she accidentaly bumped her arm against the wall. "Ahhh!", she shouted in pain. Grabbing her arm, she thought, "Must of pulled something in my arm when I jumped to the fire escape". She gasped as pain coursed through her arm. "Dang, it's banged up. At least it's not my right arm. Ohhh, how could've I not noticed sooner".

Katie looked slightly worried, "Are you alright..?"

"Great. Now I have to come up with something!", Emily thought.
It took her less than a second to weave a deception. "I think I've cramped up from being in the cold to long", she lied. Emily began to feel the pain go up her arm again." Ooohh, that smarts!", she cried as they entered the basement.

Before Emily could stop her, Katie had taken off her coat and looked at her arm in complete concern, "It looks more banged up than cold.. Here.." She had completely forgotten to hide her tail, though it had yet to be in the line of sight for Emily.As Katie ripped the bottom of her skirt, turning it into a sort of mini skirt, her tail had finally revealed itself to Emily. Katie then turned the torn cloth into a sort of triangular cloth and then used it to put Emily's arm in a sling.
((EMT First Responder class--- we use these triangular clothes to make slings.. wow i am amazed i used something from class for the rp...LOL ))

"Thanks", Emily said. She then realized she didn't know the girls name. "Sorry, but I didn't catch your name", she said. But as she said that, she smelled something, something not human.

Smiling, Emily said "My name's Emily. Its nice to meet you" Her eyes then spotted something at Katie's legs. " Is that...a...tail?", Emily asked. As she asked the question she felt shocked. Shocked that she ran into another half-breed like herself. Not that Katie needed to know that Emily was a half-breed.
((Yeah, the best thing for migraines is sleep.))

"Eh.. No.. I... eh.. just bought this costume.. it was discounted since it's left over from halloween..." Katie was truly a horrible liar, but she stiffened her tail so that it appeared fake. "I was amazed at how real it looked." She giggled slightly nervously. Then she sniffed the air near Emily. This girl has a strange yet similar scent..!? She was slightly shocked and slightly amused. This is very interesting!

First the warmth started from the center of Jacqueline’s body and spread to the tips of her fingers and toes and all the way down to her tail. Jacqueline’s mind was hazy and she remembered little of what happened, except that she was supposed to go into the house and confront the targets. Well, at least, that’s what she thought she was supposed to do- she hadn’t heard a word from her superior officers and didn’t have an exact order yet. Except to find the target, that much she knew.
Her eyelids opened heavily, and the first thing she was conscious of was something around her radiating body heat.
Body heat?
Jacqueline opened her eyes fully, the last dregs of sleep now completely gone as she became aware that she was in the arms of the stranger she met outside the building.
Furiously she thrashed against the man until she jumped from his grip, standing on edge in a fighting stance as her hand reached instinctively for her dagger.
…or where her dagger should be.
She wildly looked around for her weapons and saw them clearly out of reach from her current position, and instantly tensed, ready to attack with her bare hands. Her mind wasn’t thinking of what she should shout at the stranger, and her wild expression demanded that she know who he was.

"Really. Halloween you say, eh. Well two can play at this game!", Emily thought. "Can I see the tail? I might just get one for halloween myself if I like it", she said. Emily thought she was pretty clever, putting Katie in a position like this without exposing herself outright. Though, Emily was pretty sure that Katie was drawing her own conclusions.

Katie stiffened her tail even more and then grabbed it as though it were just an item of clothing. "It's sewn into the underwear so I'd rather not take it off. but feel the tip, it's pretty realistic." Katie pulled the end of her tail towards Emily. "Are you sure you're alright..? My mother was a doctor and I was studying under her. You really should have a full body exam due to the cold you might have frostbite and not even know it." Her voice had a genuine concern in the tone. However, she did have another reason for wanting to examine Emily. It was almost as if it were a game of wits between the two.

"Okay", Emily said. She wasn't so sure about the exam, in fact she planned not to go through with it, but if Katie wanted to play this way, she could too. "Well I don't think I have frostbite, but it is bruising up quite a bit." As she walked past Katie, she felt the tip of her tail. "Yep, its real alright", She thought. "Time to let her know I know." Emily then yanked a small bit on the tail, just enough to cause a little bit of pain. "Hmm. Maybe you should have a full body exam, because I think your tail is sewn in alright. Right into your BUTT!", she told Katie.

Though she felt a slight pain, she did not show it on her face.. She smirked slightly as she pulled her tail away from Emily's grip. She then looked as though she were going to kiss her with how close she got. "You smell interesting.. What's your secret..? We're kindred spirits are we not..?" Katie was truly in a playful mood and it showed greatly.

"Possibly", Emily said. Emily never trusted anyone, now including Katie. But she decided she was liking Katie better and better."We easily could be the species, but not "kindred spirits", she said. " If you really knew me, you'd hate me just like everyone else Katie.", she thought. Then she heard it. "Hey Katie", she said. "Do you hear that?". It was a knocking sound, like on glass or a bathtub.
