When Teagan came back, she felt a little more confident about this upcoming situation. It could be handled a bit more easily when two people were there to help him through detox, but at the same time, Teagan had to be careful. She was still hanging on to the foolish idea that Nat would never hurt her. Even while going through the terrible hell of withdrawal, he'd never strike her, never do anything damaging, or so she loved to believe. The little lies she told herself gave her confidence.

The slam of the screen door against the frame announced Teagan's arrival home. She was singing her own little song quietly to herself as she walked from the breezeway and into the larger room off to the right where the shop was. Something about seeing Nat there, working on the arrangement made her stop all her humming and thinking. He had been singing to himself, too, while he worked, much like she did, and even better was that he was just as skilled.

"Never thought I'd have such a wonderful worker in here that wasn't me," she teased as she leaned against the door frame.
"Looking good."

Teagan laughed and stepped further into the room. She couldn't tell him about what her and Raquel had talked about. She couldn't talk about how she was anticipating him to go through withdrawal in a violent way. So, she just smiled.

"It was great. Richard and Lorey went off on their honeymoon, so I got to chat it up with Raquel. I'm thinking we're friends, or something like it..."

"Nope, nothing to embarrass you."
Just things to frighten me.
Teagan reached out her hand to cup his cheek, so she could turn his face to look at her. Teagan had a hint of worry upon her face, but she closed the distance between them hopefully before he could notice.

It was a sweet kiss.
"Love you. You do beautiful work that makes me proud that I hired you."

"Hey, you changed because you wanted to. Not because of me..." Though even she had to admit that the only reason any of his changes occurred was that she was there to prompt them. Him even having a roof over his head for as long as he wanted to stay was her doing, with meals and everything. She had done a lot.

"You're blushing 'cause of me, though," Teagan said playfully, giving him a little poke upon his cheek.

Teagan turned the brush into a kiss as they enjoyed their quiet moment in the shop. She had baking to do and some phone calls to make, but this was nice while they had a few moments.
"I think it's adorable. And I can feel my ears going pink, so we're even."

Teagan kissed him one more time, and buried her face in his neck to feel his warmth. It was all so corny, and felt so silly, but wonderful all at once.

Teagan could feel the romantic tension building little by little, so she pulled back with a smile.
"Flowers are gonna wilt if we stay here like this. 'Sides, I have baking I have to get done. Muffins, and you can have some, too."
Teagan gave his stomach a little tickle so he'd let go, and they could both get back to their work. There was still a lot to be done, after all.
