“Yes it is getting rather late Nia and now that this mess is over, I would like to return to the ship, change into my starfleet attire, and continue my work. I hope I did not inconvenience any of you by making you come here.” He sat down on the grass and watched the last of the sunlight disappear from the sky. “I am going to wait a few more minutes before I start my search and yes I would like you to accompany me. It would not be wise to slit up even more than we already have..”

Well, he had to be right about his own actions, so Kirk took them to heart. He knew how his Spock would react. Probably almost think that Selek was an evil deviant holding him captive. An image appeared in his head at the moment of himself being a damsel, Selek in an evil dragon suit and Spock of course as a knight. It took quite a bit of will power to keep his laughter at bay.
“I’ll see you around old man. Take care of yourself….I might need you again.” Kirk informed. He smiled gently, assuring the other it would not dwell on his future self anymore. Perhaps, just idle chit chat. Jim found the older Spock, comforting. Selek, was more accustomed to both sides of his culture, and more open around him.
Giving one final glance to the half-vulcan, Jim hurried out. Rolling up his sleeve, he caught the time and cursed silently to himself. He had been away a little too long. So far, his plan was to meet up with Spock, ‘hang out’ and then find Janice. He still wasn’t thrilled with her and that red shirt.
Outside the compound, Jim quickened his pace. He was realived to find his friend still waiting. “Damn…his back has to hurt..” he stated to himself. Approaching the Vulcan, he bent down and settled his hand on Spock’s shoulder. “Sorry to keep you waiting so long..I rambled…you know, to get the information needed for Starfleet and all.”

----------------------- Her right ear twitched, hearing a voice. She turned to see the Captain leaning down. She stood up, giving him a salute. "Welcome back." she chuckled, running a hand through her red locks. "We weren't waiting for too long.." she added, as she itched the tip of her nose while pushing her silver frames up to her forest green hues. She had to admit, the silence with the Vulcan really helped her cope with her parental withdraw. She would have to thank Spock later. But that last part of his words were replaying in her mind. Was that his way of saying, 'I don't want to be apart anymore?' or.. was she completly wrong? -----------------------

A soft yawn escaped janice's lips. "Oh excuse me" she said covering her mouth in mid yawn. She threw her head back flipping her hair abit. They were probably walking around for about half an hour looking for everyone, but nothing. Janice pulled her shawl over her shoulders due to the bursts of wind that swept through the night, and grabbed onto the redshirt again. She squinted her eyes seeing something in the distance. It was red and flowing. "Nia?" she asked herself lowering her head through the trees. Yup it was Nia with her signature red locks with spock, and...Kirk. She lit up with a smile.

Two more minutes Spock thought to himself as he glanced out to the horizon one last time. The stars in the sky sparkled brightly and a cool breeze danced throughout the field. It was definitely a change from the hot weather earlier. For once he was actually happy to have the long robes on. It kept him comfortably warm.
The 2 minutes were almost up and he sighed as he decided to get up and start looking for the captain. He began to stand but sat back down as he heard Kirks voice on the side of him. As Kirks hand touched his shoulder he turned his head quickly to see the captains blue eyes staring straight at him.
His dark eyes met the captains and he nodded as to acknowledge him.
“Welcome back Captain. Did you get all the information you needed?” He still thought something was fishy about the whole situation with the Vulcan named Selek but decided to address it at a later date. For now, he just wanted to enjoy the cool breeze sweeping through his hair. He had a long couple of days and it was nice to finally be able to relax.

“Ah, you could say that.” Kirk nodded, confirming he had indeed got all he wanted. Though a lingering hungry still weighed heavily on him. He hadn’t gotten to ask another question but that was probably a good thing. No more questions about the future. There was the here and now.
And speaking of the now. His gaze traveled from Spock to Janice when she arrived. She was here, therefore it was time. At least to indulge himself, if he could. “Well, I don’t want to intrude on your alone time..” he inclined his head towards Nia and smiled. "oh and don't worry about the Enterprise..we'll be heading space bound in the morning.." he assured his first officer.
“Sides, I have a long overdue date.” He said it loud and proud, not caring. Sure, Janice could reject him right then. It’d depend on her mood and if she was willing to see. Leaving his friend’s side, he strolled over to Janice and held out his hand. “Shall we?” his gaze searched her features, as if trying to contemplate her answer.
Though the moment was cut off by his communicator beeping. Damn, maybe he should have left it on the ship. Frowning, and removing his out stretched hand, he flipped his communicator open, answering it. "Kirk here." he took a deep breath, "Uhura, we're in..." he eyed the device and then his first officer.
"Spock, you tell her...I'm shitty with directions on a place I don't know." he thrusted the communicator at the Vulcan. Before his attention snapped back to Janice. "Now, where were we?"

Janice eyed his hand. Kirk was seriously confusing her at this point, Hot and cold, Left and right. He just kept giving out mixed signals. As much as she wanted to slap his hand away from her and stroll around with the nameless redshirt; there was something in the air that night that just made her reach out and grab his hand aswell. A warm feeling fluttered around her body. Instead of walking towards him, it felt like she just floated to him. She turned around to the redshirt. "you've been a real help.." she said leaning her head to the side giving him a thankful smile. The redshirt looked pretty down in the dumps. But he bowed and walked away. "Hmm, Never did get his name" she said turning her gaze onto the captain.
"we shall.. " she said grabbing hold of his strong arm with both hands. He smelled good, Like, aftershave or something. She didnt know what it was, but it could have been bliss for all that she knew. "Where are we going?" she asked looking up to him with lovestruck eyes.

Spock noticed the communicator flying in his direction. He stretched his arm out and caught it with ease. His Vulcan reflexes always seemed to come in handy. “Uhura, this is Spock we are in the fields outside. It is the field directly across from where all the small shops are located at. If you have difficulty finding us you can just use the scanner on the communicator. Be careful it is rather dark. As you can see, Vulcan does not have a moon. The fields do not have street lights so it may be difficult to locate us. Call me on the communicator if you encounter any problems. Spock out.”
He closed the communicator and stuck it in his pocket. He glanced over at Nia and noticed the wind blowing through her hair. He sat entranced by her long red locks the just seemed to glide perfectly along with the wind as though her hair in the wind were performing a silent symphony together. He cleared his throat and stood up from the ground. He stood next to her and put his hands behind his back. “erm…Nia….I guess the captain and Janice will be leaving for a short while. It must be up to us to wait for Uhura to arrive then”

----------------------- The light was almost gone now. She nodded, notcing the Captain and Janice leaving the area. She then saw Uhura come up, along with the Vulcan child close behind. She remembered the child. She was the one who got them to saftey. She smiled. "Hello there, Miss Suroi." Nia nodded to her, before she looked up at the half Vulcan. "So, we are staying here for tonight? If so, I suggest that we find somewhere to stay at." -----------------------
