Durbans came out of the Arena, Gold at his waist. He looked around and saw two things of interest. A group of people seeming to be travelling rather heavily armed, and a family that looked in need of gold. He walked to them and hamnded the sack of earnings he had recieved. 'Take this, Ma'am, and use it well. Stay strong," He said evenly.
The woman looked up at him and thanked him profusely. Asking how she would be able to repay him.
He answered her with a shake of his head. "There is nothing you need do for me. The people of this land need heroes, and those heroes that have been named must heed the needs of the people. It is the least anyone could do." He turned and walked slowly, gripping his axe at his side, unthreateningly towards the small party. "Escuse me...If I may...Where are you headed?"

(( I nearly died when I read that post XD!! Mainly cause I didn't realize it till now LOLZ!!! ))
Ephraim looked toward Alihi after her sudden comment of him acting motherly. Truth be told, he didn't realize it until she said it out loud which kinda embaressed him a little. "U-Uh...." not really sure how to respond to that, he only scratched the side of his cheek. This was normally how he acted to Myrrh when he took her out to play or when they visited one another...maybe it was just that action kicking in...or the fact that he missed home just a little. He didn't know, but Ephraim didn't mind it now.
When Amara spoke, it brought him out of his thoughts and looked at the girl and blinked. "Sure" He turned his back to her and allowed her to climb up onto his back. After she got used to her climb, he stood up and moved his arm behind him like a chair for her to sit in so she doesn't fall off. "Shall we?"

The travellers were in a group, and they wanted food and lodgings for the night. Sue thought that the requests sounded reasonable. The world of Learania had many other countries, they were probably lost, the poor foreigners!
She felt that way when being shown around Lycia for the first time after reuniting with her Father, shortly before their own departure to this strange, but now familiar land. Their cultures must be different.... as Sacaen and Lycian were. "Hello, Amelia... Rhys." Sue greeted her two Hosts fondly, and mastered her nomadic smile while doing so. "Say... have either of you seen Rei?"

" Maybe that's the reason why" "You can't ever fly..." Cαsτειιo "Take away the blue..." ______________ Castello chuckled, sweeping quickly around Annis, circling above the market slowly. He looked away for a moment, his sharp eyes focusing in on the streets below him. Look for... any of the others... He could see Shento on a roof, thinking he was sneaky. Pff.
And... ooh, he could see a restaurant! A fancy-looking place, at that. But he didn't have any cash, or anything people would probably take today...
He returned to Annis, flapping his wings slowly. "Well! Nice meeting you, and we really should talk sometime, but I've gotta get back to my friends. Just up stretching my wings, yeah?" He reached out and gently shook the other Raven's hand, then moved back and dipped down toward the street, flared his wings, and dropped into the crowd.
As he made his way along the street, he opened up Annis' wallet to see what he had to work with. "Ha ha!" he laughed, jogging along toward his friends again. "That should do, that should certainly do..." The handsome Raven slipped the pouch of coin into an inside pocket in his shirt, and lightly bumped against a Warrior walking toward the makeshift arena.
For the rest of the day, that warrior was perplexed by the way his bangs fell in front of his eyes.
"Teifi!" Castello called as he jogged back to his friends. "I got you a little gift, Mom," he teased, holding out a swanky black headband with a steel plate affixed to the front. "I, ah... won it from a game." Quite a large group had clustered around his friends now, Castello noted. And with his sensitive laguz ears, he could hear Kyros' stomach even through all the noise around them.
"I spotted a nice restaurant," he added meaningfully, pulling the little coin pouch out of his jacket. "My treat, guys." His face split into a grin as he shifted, slipping his hands into his pockets and offering Nino a little wink. "And hey to you, too," he purred, running his fingers through his hair, just above his right temple.

Nino had seen Raven Laguz before, so Castello didn't surprise her very much, but she gave him a nervous smile. "How many of you are there?" She asked, trying to be heard over the little crowd.
"Do you need somewhere to stay? Anything?"

"And also.." Sue felt almost shameless for this, but she had to get some gold rolling in. "I run a bow shop not to far away. If any of you like to use them as weapons... or if you like collecting hand-made nomadic collectibles, I have a lot I've made."

Annis' fingers brushed against her corset as she watched Castello move in a circle around her. Her smile widened just a little, wings still flapping as she held herself effectively in one place above the ground. His eyes darted away for just a second, something Annis picked up on, but she filed it away as unimportant. Probably just spied something shiny; ravens (including herself, she had to admit) could be easily distracted by bright coins, after all.
She looked back to Castello's face as he spoke up again. "Well! Nice meeting you, and we really should talk sometime, but I've gotta get back to my friends. Just up stretching my wings, yeah?" Annis' hand was warm (of course, the gloves helped) as she shook his hand, then watched him fly off, landing in the crowd and immediately getting swallowed away from sight.
Annis just flapped in mid-air for a thoughtful minute, brushing a hand across a lock of hair. Certainly was an interesting one... She brushed her hand against her leg, near her pocket, absentmindedly and tried to spy his wings through the crowd (a difficult task). It was hard to tell, what with him running off so fast, but--
Annis paused. Brushed her hand over her trousers again. Another pause. Her expression darkened, and she pushed her hand into the pocket. Nothing was there.
Empty.
"Dastard stole my wallet! The little-- Oooooh!" Annis fumed, diving right down to the street, giving no care to the people below. A few scattered as she quickly righted herself and landed on her feet, wings flapping twice before folding neatly behind her back. "Where the hell is he?" she muttered, paying no heed to the indignant mutters around her before pushing through the crowd. There was too much noise, and he had gotten too far, for her to hear him out amongst everyone else. Annis gritted her teeth and sighed, face turning red despite herself.
Dastard better show up or he's not going to have any more hair to play with...

" Maybe that's the reason why" "You can't ever fly..." Cαsτειιo "Take away the blue..." ______________ "Oh, well! We're a bit short on cash, I'm afraid... enough for lunch and that's about it. There's nine of us," said the Raven. "We'll manage, you know? We always do." He flashed her a smile and stretched, taking a closer look at the short green mage. His eyes were drawn, at first glance, to her chest, but more specifically to the shiny silver broach of her cloak.

Kyros looked at the amassing crowd, their interactions going pretty much right around him, all towards the eloquent, majestic Teifi. The man smiled, chuckling a little at how everyone seemed to just flock to her, giving her all the attention. Teifi made quite the interesting point indeed: they were lost like tourists, hungry, and needed somewhere to relax. The woman made Kyros smile yet again, her preparedness astonishing.
Ah, she's always got my back. Glad she's around, I am. The smile persisted while he watched the Dancer nimbly handle the approaching crowd, singlehandedly occupying the various teenage girls, a blond two emerald-haired ones, and then a shy, azure-haired boy, and whoever else was making their way to them. She always was good with the kids, so seeing her do this was no surprise.
And then there was the mention of food. A restaurant, nearby. Lunch. The hulking behemoth began to salivate, able to almost taste the food in his mouth. A large chicken breast, with a rich salad on the side, accompanied by rich apple cider. Without waiting for anyone's opinion, he burst into uproarious laughter, hoisting small Amelia onto his other shoulder, adjacent to Jyoti.
"Lunch sounds fantastic, little Amelia! Lead the way!"
With a goofy, slightly obsessive grin, Kyros turned to Teifi, motioning with his head for her to follow. "The rest of you can talk while we walk, children!" The man began walking, glancing back as Castello began to descend on the crowd. Tilting the girls back slightly, he shouted at the layabout, expecting to get his attention... if he was listening, of course.
"Castello! Meet us at the restaurant! I can't wait any longer!" With a slight laugh in his voice, he glanced up to Amelia and Jyoti, expecting the Valkyrie to be used to his volume, but planning to get a laugh out of the small other one's reaction.
"So, Amelia, where to, kiddo?"

Alihi laughed again, seeing him react to her comment. "It's not an insult, Ephraim, I swear. The little one wouldn't be too pleased with me if I insulted her big brother Ephie. Isn't that right, Amara?" She turned and grinned at her daughter, poking her nose with one finger.
Amara giggled. "Mommy~"
The tactician reached to ruffle Amara's hair, since at the moment the little girl was taller than her. "Sorry that the little one pretty much forced you to follow us." Alihi said softly, lowering her hand and looking at Ephraim. "Was there anything you wanted to do? I'd feel kind of guilty if we ruined your plans..."

"Well, whenever you have more money..." Sue said, smiling earnestly towards the Raven and the rest of them. "Amelia... where are you taking the newcomers for lunch? I'd join you... and I'm sure our robed company will as well." She motioned to Rhys, nearby.

There really were a lot of people approaching. Sue and Oujay had been there for a little while, then Rhys and Jin came over, then Nino, who seemed to be directing her attention to Teifi (as many of them were), and finally a rather large man (With a really large axe, Amelia observed) that addressed the party in general. Amelia started to get a little overwhelmed at speaking to everyone, glad when Sue finally addressed her specifically, allowing her to focus her attention.
"Rei? I... no, I haven't seen him. Is he still studying at the manor?" Amelia questioned, frowning. They'd told him to come down and relax, hadn't they? Someone had to have told him that. It was bad for him to stay cooped up in the library for so long. A raven laguz (An odd sight, not many flighted laguz around here, Amelia decided once she'd actually registered it) approached carrying a headband for Teifi, but Amelia's thoughts were still with Rei. If he's still reading...
Hearing Kyros laugh right near her made Amelia flinch back to reality (literally), and then yelped as he suddenly picked her right up into the air. Before she was able to make any protests, she was sitting on his unoccupied shoulder, and Amelia instinctively held onto the collar of his shirt with her free hand, the other still awkwardly holding onto her spear. "Lunch sounds fantastic, little Amelia! Lead the way!"
Little? Amelia thought, dazed now as she tried to keep up; first she was just going to have lunch, now she was getting an impromptu ride, and now she was the guide? Wait, I was going to guide them from the beginning, right? Amelia cast her gaze over to Castello as Kyros spoke (shouted, really; it made Amelia flinch each time his booming voice started to sound), then back ahead as finally, Kyros addressed her again.
"So, Amelia, where to, kiddo?"
"Ah, it's... this way, about two blocks, and one block to the east after that," Amelia instructed, pointing her lance ahead, then to the left. She paused, then started to add, unsure if he'd even pay attention, "But what about Rhys, or... Nino or the others?"

Ephraim shook his head, looking down at the tactition. "Its no bother really, I just came to see what this festival was and somehow ran into you and Amara" gesturing behind him at the girl who was 'oo'ing and 'aah' at the sights she wasn't able to see before. "Besides, even if there were plans I'm sure I would be looking for her among these crowds anyways" he hadn't actually had a chance to even know if Sophia was here or not.
"I-..AI TATA!' Ephraim yelped as his hair was suddenly pulled and he turned his head to look at Amara whom seemed to be giddy about something. "What's got you so giddy this time?" wondering what Amara was so excited for that she had to pull at the prince's hair just to get his attention. Though it didn't bother him all that much, but dang, that yank hurt.

Nino had noticed Castello's eyes go where they did, however, she interpreted it differently. Instead of thinking she was looking at the shiny fastener on her cloak, she thought he was looking... Elsewhere. She crossed her arms and gave another nervous smile. As she went to speak to him, however, the group began to move to follow Amelia.
She moved closer to Amelia as she heard her say something about her and Rhys.
"Jeez, this crowd is overwhelming... I'll go with." She wanted to say something to her, but she was up on Kyros' shoulder. She shook her head.
Nino followed the crowd to wherever lunch was being held.

Break me, shake me, hate me... But when the madness stops, you'll be alone.→τειғι← ◣ ♪ I can't feel nothing at all... ♪ ◥ You've confused me in a way that I've never known... "Thank you, Amelia! I'm grateful." Giving the girl a quick hug (gently, of course, compared to Kyros!), she looked back to the others- especially to Rhys. The look that Amelia had given him wasn't lost on the dancer, but she didn't mind. Young love and all that was a marvelous thing; the subject of ballads the world over and through the strains of time, they still rang out with as much fervor as they did during the days of her youth, all those years ago. Looking to Nino, she held out her hand in greeting.
My, all these friendly, smiling youths! It looked like not all the young of this generation were hopeless cases, after all. Not at all like the brutes she'd imagined, for how brazen some nearby warriors sounded!
"Ah, a pleasure to meet you, Nino. We're just off to lunch--"
One would call it woman's intuition, the way she turned before anyone else could scarcely hear the raven approaching them, his prize in tow. Teifi saw her companion's face glowing with pride, along with quite the odd looking headband dangling from his hand. Upon hearing its questionable origins (and not missing a beat with the pause that he'd included! She'd ask him about it later.) but knowing that it was a gift he'd bothered to... ah... 'pick out' for her, Teifi took it with a smile.
"Thanks, dear." Sliding it onto her head with a sense of happiness, she noted that it felt a little... warm. And though she assumed it would fit rather nicely- and it did, at first- it quickly drooped down, settling so that half of it covered a good part of her vision.
"I... don't think it fits right, hon." Lifting up the odd band a little bit, she listened to Kyros and Amelia's little banter and looked to the small girl with a smile.
"If a few of your friends would like to come, then sure! I'm not sure they can seat too many more of us, though."
While what she said was true, there was also a sense of something wistful in her tone. Though she didn't want to say it, the place was getting a little too crowded for Teifi's tastes- one or two more friends, and she wouldn't mind. Any more than that, and things might get a little too chaotic in a closed restaurant setting. Especially if Kyros was as hungry as he said he was.۞ You just keep me contemplating that your sσuℓ is _slowly _fading... ۞
