(( lol Gaia goes, "Omnomnom!" ))
"Home, young man! Specifically, my Dojo. And we'll do it the fast way, so Mr. Neko can have his privacy."
With an ornrey grin, Iri walks over to Dalcon and scoops him up via the waist with one arm. Despite the fact that the boy isn't much smaller than her, Iri seems to carry him with ease. The avian is stronger than she looks.
Iri gives Syn and Neko a friendly wave with her free hand. "Bye-bye!"
And, with a jump and a downward stroke of her wings, Iri takes to the air.

As the two leave eyesight, Neko turns to his company, and disappears into the forest with them, Syn following closely behind.
"That was sloppy, Sachiel."

By that time, Iri is already moving over the tree tops. She looks down at her newest student and laughs.
"Aww! I had hoped you would find it to be fun! If you say so..."
Iri releases the boy with little warning. It's not like she lets him fall full force, though. A pillar of air guides his descent. And when he lands, it's on both feet with a cushion of air beneath him. The cushion dissipates and his feet hit the ground. As this happens, Iri circles his landing spot, waiting on him. As soon as he starts moving, Iri will continue her flight. She allows herself to chuckle in a good natured way all the while.

Dalcon slowly descends to the forest floor, rolling as he hits it out of habit. As if the fall was the loading screen, and touch down was START!, he takes off at a run, then vaults into the trees. If there is one thing -well, there are several things Dalcon is proud of, but if he could only pick one, it'd be his freerunning and gymnastic abilities. Being raised by an angel and guarded by a sentient cat will do that to you. He kicks effortlessly from tree to tree, sometimes swinging from branches. There are about 3 minute intervals between his feet actually touching terra firma, and all the while he heads straight and true toward the Academy.

Iri blinks and watches the kid go. "Damn. I severely underestimated him. Oh well."
The avian dives for the trees and begins to follow him. His mode of transportation looks like fun. Iri glides and flaps where she can. Otherwise, she mimics Dalcon. She isn't as gymnastically talented as the kid, so she cheats. As Sage once taught her to do, Iri uses chakra focused on the soles of her feet and palms of her hands to aide her in grasping branches and landing on the trunks of trees. She lets her wings give her bursts of speed and distance. It's an adrenaline rush, very fun, and allows Iri to do the responsible thing and keep an eye on her young student.

Whenever he can't find a handhold, Dalcon throws his sword at the tree and uses it like a bar or a stepping stone as the situation fits, always snatching it back at the last second. In no time at all he nears the thinning treeline.

Once the treeline is within view, Iri gives a final leap and bursts through the tree tops. She flaps her way past the trees and dives for the ground again. This time, she flies just above the tall grasses, her hands hanging down to touch the still damp vegetation. The rain has stopped, but the evidence of it is still fresh.
The avian continues to fly just above the tall grass, steering her way past the other windmills as she makes her way to the Dojo.

Approaching the windmills, Dalcon shakes his head in a catlike way, ridding his hair of moisture from the recent rain. "Toldya I can move!"

A lopsided grin forms as Iri chuckles. She keeps going until she's about fifty yards from the Dojo. Then she flips in mid air and falls on her back. The grass is thick enough that she only meets vegetation and not mud and muck. The avian sighs and just lays there, staring up at a sky that's nearly clear of clouds. The wind gets fierce nearer the Dojo, but it's not so bad here. It's just pleasant.
"Okay, you have the right to say, 'I told you so.' Guess I don't have to worry about leaving you behind as I fly. Good to know."
Iri turns her head to watch as moisture from the grass collects on her right wing. Eventually, she'll have to get up, or she'll be soaked going into the Dojo. Just a few more minutes...

One slender eyebrow quirks and she turns her head to look at Dalcon. Otherwise, she doesn't move from her spot.
"Scared? Is it because you don't know what that bracelet was holding back?"

He nods, rubbing the spot where it was. "Mom said to never, ever take it off. And Neko took it...I...what happens when the moon is full, Iri?" He looks panicked, somehow realizing it's a dumb question, yet frightening in these circumstances.

Iri narrows her eyes, thinking. Reeve hadn't said much to her about Sarya, but one thing does come to mind. When she had first been resurrected, he kind of panicked about it. And there's something else, though Iri isn't sure if it will be a problem for Dalcon like it was his father.
The avian gets to her feet and begins to wring out her sarong. "Promise not to freak out when I mention certain people? Keep this in mind before you answer: Just because someone is your biological parent, that doesn't mean you have to consider he or she your mother or father. There's a distinct difference."
