Anabel shuffled backward and waited until she bumped into Vermillion, "You're gonna have to stop me because I don't know where I'm going."

Vermillion reached out and caught her and pulled her the rest of the way back resting his chin on her shoulder. "Now why would you need to walk backwards, you afraid I might catch a blush or two, but even if you were..." Vermillion took a hand and brushed it gently against her right cheek; "I would still think your cute." Vermillion put his hand down, and pulled his head back; "Alright what do you need for me to tie together?"

She looked very confused, "The strings I'm holding out to you." Anabel wiggled the strings she was holding behind her, "They hold my dress together... If I were to walk toward you instead of walking backward... you might have caught a glimpse of more than my blushing face..."

Vermillion took the strings and tied the knots she requested making the dress snug, but not uncomfortable before leaning back again. "Well if that was the case, I would have still called you cute, but then i would be blushing too."

She giggled softly, "I'm not that impressive... but... now that I'm tied... We should be going on our adventure today."Anabel turned around to reveal her knee length pale blue sun dress that had a low dipping collar and a "V" back that was held together by strings. she had her hair down, but a white silk ribbon decoratively tied in a bow around her neck, which could later be used to hold her hair back.
She tugged his hand forward a bit and smiled softly, "Are you ready to go?"

Vermillion smiled; "lead away to your first spot, i'll keep an eye out to make sure you don't trip on anything along the way, but I'm ready when you are."

Anabel grabbed a basket she had prepared earlier this morning, and the blanket setting on top of it, "I think I have a relatively good place we can eat lunch."
She brought him out of the house, locked up the door, and tugged him out the gate, then locked that up, "Well then," she smiled while turning to Vermillion, "Try and keep up!"
Anabel dashed off into the woods following a winding path of her own through many-a-obstacles; fallen trees, low branches...
About twenty minutes into the hike she arrived at a clearing bordered by various different species of mushrooms. young lush green grass filled the center of the clearing and dozens of rare and unusual trees filled the area around the mushroom circle, "Here we are.... Hopefully I didn't loose you."

Vermillion slowed to a casual walk to make up the remaining distance as he looked at the place. "I kept up okay, but you're wicked fast at running through the woods. However, some of these trees and the pattern of the mushrooms gives me the impression that this place has meaning to someone. That and you're right in saying its the perfect place to have lunch."

She smiled and tossed out the blanket, "This place has a very special meaning to me, so I hope you enjoy it..." placing the basket on the corner of the blanket she laid out and smiled, "Would you like to join me?"

Vermillion sat down on the blanket; "I'm at a loss to share in the joy it brings you without knowing a little more about what took place here. I see trees that normally don't grow in this area thriving away as if this were native soil."

"This is where I grew up," she explained as she looked around the trees, and in the little holes, "But, For some odd reason no one is home."
Anabel went tree to tree looking in any hole she could find and saw no one, "Did... they all move?" she asked as she went and laid back on the blanket, "It's kind of sad..."

"Perhaps I'm making them nervous and scared to come out, or they are watching us from afar. I wouldn't worry too much about it right now, we can always come back later when they would be home for certain. So which tree belongs to your parents?" Vermillion was trying to take a guess mentally considering Anabel had an oak, so he was trying to find a tree of the oak family within the group.

She smiled, "It's a few minutes away still... This is just my town... I guess you could say..." Anabel looked away and blushed softly, "Well, If you haven't figured it out already.... I'm a... A fairy." clenching her eyes shut, she prepared for what his reaction would be...

"why are you clenching your eyes closed...?" Vermillion reach over and gently placed his palm against her cheek and turned her head back to him. "I learned already, the oak you sit under a lot, that belongs to you, but your hometown is beautiful. If it makes you feel any better, I'm not what you think I am either, but i cannot show you here. Your neighbors would be upset if I did, and i wish for them not to be upset with you. Now, what did you bring along to eat, you planned for this day as much as I did, I'd sure hate to waste all your hard work."

Anabel hid her face behind a lock of hair, "I-I brought... a traditional dish..." she mumbled as she pulled out a special loaf of round flat bread with an oak leaf shape in the center. "You eat it with a dip... here." she passed a small dish over to him, and broke off a chunk of the bread, "Would you like to try some?"
