"That's fine with me.. people usually have things they wish not to tell." he paused and glanced at the path they were taking, then veered off it, heading for the woods in the distance "This way is shorter.."

"That's a pretty name.. It's nice to meet you Annemarie!" Shina then gave an understanding look, "Some memories can be painful even if the events took place years ago." She had a look of sadness on her face, "And sometimes speaking of them can make the events even more painful and more real...." She paused for a moment as if she were thinking of something from her own past. "But, if we make new friends along the way, the pain is dulled, little by little." She then looked like she shook the thought off and said, "This is my first mission as an official messenger. I really want to thank you two somehow.. Would a cooked meal be alright..?" she asked, somewhat cheerfully.

Kai chuckled lightly all three of us have some demon lurking on our past.. he thought.. then glanced at Shina. "That would be nice."

Shina smiled, "Just let me know when the both of you are hungry and I'll start cooking." As they walked, a root wrapped itself around Shina's foot, causing her to trip and fall. She tried to stand up but her ankle was sprained, and she fell back down. "Ouch!"

Kai stopped and knelt by Shina, inspecting her ankle. "....not too bad..." he glanced at Annemarie and Shina "Well...should we rest here? I can carry you if you want to go on.."

"Oh but I don't want to trouble you too much, I think I can walk.." she tried to stand on it again, lightly, and her expression was full of pain.

Annemarie watched Shina fall. "Are you alright." She asked, tilting her head to the side. "Usually a sprain dies down after a while. So you should be alright in a few hours, maybe we could find you a walking stick." She looked at the ground.

Annemarie watched them then looked ahead. She rubbed her arm awkwardly. She was beginning to like Kai, but if Shina liked him then oh well.

"But---" she tried to take another step to show she could, but failed miserably falling into him, causing her to oblige to the piggy back ride.
