Vanessa's heart pounded through her fragile body, terrified now that her secret was exposed. "Yeah, I'm fine." Why wouldn't I be?" She faced her friend now, her hands cleverly placed on her hips so her wrists were concealed.

Rebbecca decided to say what was on her mind. "That was a lot of blood," she said quietly. "Are you sure you don't want to go to the hospital or something?" The girl asked wanting to just believe hat her friend got scratched.

Nessa shook her head. "I'm fine Bec. It's just a scratch form a rock." Although she sounded so convincing, she continued to hide her wrists behind her back as she moved towards the counter to grab her gloves. She felt stupid for hiding them so obviously, but she was panicking.

"Yeah, well, that's the problem. My scars ARE that visible, you wouldn't believe how many idiots get their a** kicked just because they don't like my eye. Of course we settle things in the arena and..." It slipped, he nearly kept talking about his secret life in the illegal underground arena matches he participates in.

Rebbecca decided that she was going to have a closer look and stepped forward. "Nessa," she said softly, "if it's just that. Then why the gloves." Having stepped closer she noticed that the markings were not messy scratches."

"It's nothing, nothing! I just treat everywhere I fight like a battlefield so I accidenly called the middle of the street arena! It's nothing to worry about!" He had too obvious signs of nervous and intimidations but he did all he could God, please don't ler her find out! Not when it's going so well!

Vanessa's heart pounded in her chest when Rebbecca stepped closer. Not good, not good, not good!! She was freaking out but managed to keep her expression calm, with only a little worry in her eyes. "The gloves? Um .. I like them. Their my favorite accessory, is there something wrong with that?" Nessa tried to prevent Becca from seeing the scars by quickly throwing the gloves on, but she only got one on. She dropped the other in her haste, watching it in desperation when it hit the floor. Her wrists immediately went behind her as she tried to guard her secret. If Rebbecca even caught a glimpse of her wrist she would see how careful and precise the cuts were, and how recent some of them were.

Kimiko stared at him for a moment. She could tell by his tone and facial expression that he was hiding something. She sighed. "Whatever. When you're ready I guess you'll tell me the truth." She said simply before looking out at the water.

Ryuuji had a feeling like Kimiko is somewhat offended because he's hiding hissecret It's ok to tell her, isn't it? Ryuuji sat up from laying down and turned to Kimiko, he had a dead serious face on him "Fine, I won't hide it from you anymore. I lied about the arena thing. The truth is I'm already a professional fighter in a an illegal underground fighting arena. I have no choice, it's the only way to get money to support my family but it cost me my left eye and left hand..."

Rebbecca eyes carefully watched her friend. There was something not right, she knew and the way Vanessa was acting was slightly frightening. Her eye watched as she hurriedly putt on her gloves and when the other dropped one her eyes snapped to the all most perfect straight lines. Bitting her lip she walked over and picked up a glove. "Uh," she said stupidly as she searched for word. "Nessa, do you cut?" she asked not meaning to be so blunt as she handed the glove back to her friend.

Vanessa felt like crying. Well, she felt like cutting. Which made her want to cry. There was no point in hiding the secret anymore .. It was getting to hard. Nessa took a deep breath, looking down at her feet as she held the glove in her hand. "I'm sorry Becca ....
" She couldn't bear{sp} to admit it to her friend so she just stood there, nodding like an idiot.
