"Well, based on observation, the only way we can stop her right now is simply just staying together." Alihi answered, jumping into Aran and NoMetal's conversation with an apologetic nod. "From my understanding, it's only one person acting, and that's Asami... uhm..." The tactician blanked on the last name. "Mei-something. It's not that important. The point is, we've got to stay on our guard and be prepared for things to change. It's the only way we can survive this." Once again, she glanced out the window.

Heh, this is becoming a habit... She let out a small sigh, quiet and unnoticeable. ... Abel, please be alright.

(( Poor unaware Alihi... D: ))

"Yeah, yet we aren't completely sure if there are more. For all we know this could be the only one active right now. It all seems familiar. Starts with one, then more come out. Yet you are right. So long as we are together, then we should be safe. I am just lucky I ran into Ephraim before it could have happened to me...that and being able to come back here. Heh I learned a good lesson. Never wander off on your own, especially with few rations and weapons. Though I am better with a blade now."

((now I truly hate my life. My cousin did drop out, I have lost a friend, and now my cousin ran off on his own, which in the end has stressed all of my family...my life sucks.))

(( D: Just... uhm... keep positive? I'm not really good with the whole comforting thing. x_x;;
But if you ever need to talk to someone, just PM me, alright? ))

Alihi nodded, elbow on the windowsill and chin on her fist. "I don't doubt that more can come out... it's just that I want to focus stopping this. Because once you return from the fight with her, you're doomed." She turned back to NoMetal for a moment before looking back outside. "We're going to need to start alerting people soon... I was thinking of going into Eyris soon, since I'm not sure if Luna's already gone to do so or not."

"We do have some extra horses correct? I lost mine sometime ago. I can get us there a whole lot quicker if we have to. Alerting the people will be a good thing. So if we will need them, lets get some supplies and go."

((that will have to wait for tommorrow if we want me to go as well. I have to get off. Later.))

Alihi frowned. "I'm... not sure if we have extra horses. Either way, I was just planning on running. But if you want to come along, then you can..."

(( Well, you can come along if you wish. Either way, Alihi's not going to leave until you reply again.
Bye, NoMetal. ))

((Gee, I thought I had it bad. I'm not really that great of a comforter either, so the best advice I can offer is to talk to as many people about it as you can. Preferably a therapist, or something like that.))

"Oh, I could go as well. I'm sure Kain wouldn't mind setting out again so soon," Valter said as he jumped into the conversation.

Sue had been waiting. By now, she would have expected at least a message from Abel on the whereabouts of her father, but so far, no word. She was growing worried that something happened to her informant, especially with Asami still free to her own devices.

"Alihi... is Abel supposed to arrive in Eyris? If so... let me go with you."

(Ouch, NoMetal D: That must suck) "Stick together eh? That doesn't sound bad. If anyone wants to team up with me then just say so." Maybe if we come back from the fight with no bruises or cuts, we might not go nuts

((Well I have to stay positive. My mom id getting remarried in less than a month.))
"Well, I will still come along. I am sure I can help somehow."

Alihi turned to Sue. "I'm... not sure." Her voice cracked slightly. "I don't know where he is... I was planning on checking to see if he arrived." She nodded slowly.

"Valter and NoMetal, could you alert the people in the area surrounding Eyris of what's going on? Sue and I will go into Eyris and do the same. We should head out soon; the sooner the people know, the better."
Plus, I just really want to put my mind at rest. She mentally added, worry and fear entering her mind.

(( ... Valter or NoMetal, one of you will need to alert the people in "The Bard Arriveth!", since they are still blissfully unaware. xD ))

(Oh, yeah. I'll do that.)
"Alright, sounds good."

Alihi nodded. "I'm going to go grab a sword for myself. Better be prepared, right?" She gave a weak smile and then turned and headed to where the swords were stored.

Of course, The tactician thought, testing out each iron sword carefully, making sure it wasn't too heavy or too light. As close as the weapons were, there were always some small difference between the blades. It would be so much better if I don't have to use this... She held an iron sword in her hand, staring at her partial reflection in the blade for a moment before finding a sheath to slide the weapon into so it wouldn't accidentally harm her.

She then wandered back to the group. "Valter, NoMetal, you two can leave if you are ready to." She then turned to Sue and gave her an encouraging smile, for both the nomad and herself. Honestly, the tactician didn't know what to expect. She could only hope for the best and prepare for the worst. "Whenever you're ready, Sue."

" Alright. I'm ready when you are, NoMetal," Valter said as he realized that he'd never actually taken his armor off.

(I'll be back in two hours)

Edit: (Never mind. I'm back now.)

All had dulled down to a faint throb.

He still held himself but his voice was silent, phantasmagoric lullabies no longer embarking from his lips. He slowly examined his surroundings, which had been restored from a sea of static to the usual, lonely features of the attic. The back of his head pounded with the other pulses throughout his body, churning blood black as the night and thick as mud. His eyes darkly followed the pale sunbeams shining through the attic's window. All was silent beside the distorted echoes of voices from downstairs.

Something was happening out there. He could feel faint surges of emotion and magic washing over him, but they were not close enough or strong enough to throw his mind into havoc as the previous two times had. He closed his eyes and urged his mind's eye to seek current events. He sat in the corner of that dusty, cold attic, trying to fetch images from afar like before, but he only saw darkness. Frustrated, he sighed and halfheartedly opened his eyes. Perhaps he did not need to acknowledge what was happening outside. The waves of energy were enough to clue him in.

But he sensed something else as well. Through the chills of tainted magic breaking upon him, there was a distortion, an unevenness, as though there were gaps in the surges. He recognized it immediately. He closed his eyes once more and turned his face toward the ceiling, basking in that feeble but familiar aura. She had intervened, the attic-dweller knew. She was here. But he understood she would not be here for long. Her blessings lasted for very brief intervals of time...

And indeed it was quick to dissipate. Perhaps the blessing had merely weakened, but the fact remained that he could no longer sense it.

His eyes opened and drifted to a stray sliver of light glinting off the broken mirror. His hand traveled toward the largest shard, closing pale and bony fingers around the cold object. He gently tilted the mirror shard toward himself and cleaned its dusty and grimy surface with a gold-trimmed, tattered sleeve, angling the mirror to look at himself and the ceiling from different perspectives.

Then new waves broke upon him. He glanced toward the window and set the mirror in his lap, gazing strangely at the light. Something else was happening. It was far away, yet it was powerful enough to alert him. This time his mind did not spiral in several dimensions at once or pervert his senses into other worlds and timelines. The surges, feeble as they were, carried touches of pain and the same darkness he had continuously sensed over the past few days, rattling his body into a weak and uncontrollable shiver. He felt the shadows of rage perch on the fringes of his mind.

The same aura was everywhere. It was in Rei, for he had seen it himself in that vision. It had corrupted the energy signature that Nils exhumed, for Nils had an unmistakable aura. But this corruption was too distant for him to identify. Who now had fallen to this malevolent and near-nameless influence? Who now was soiled by the blood of Asami Meiuqer?

He set the mirror shard back in its place and began to sing again. He sang in a voice too quiet for the attic around him to echo, the melody's notes rippling with sorrow and deceit...

Ephraim stood in the lobby for a bit, debating on whether to return to the forest alone or not. He raised his arms, resting them on his hips until he remembered the pendant he had that was found in the cabin. Curious, he took it out, analyzing the object. Clearly it was made of gold and not the cheap fake one. There was a oval ruby gem with gold rims. On the back was what seemed like a dragon engraved onto the gold . "Hm.." he questioned, wondering if the library in this manor had anything to help him. Perhaps Ninian can but she was no where in sight or that..tactitian the noble spotted a few times but never actually got the name.

"Library it is" Ephraim muttered, pocketing the pendant again. "Library is...2nd floor..I remember passing that room" he stood for a moment and took a step forward toward the stairs.

It didn't take the noble long to reach the library and when he did, looked the entire shelves up and down on what he thought might help figure out what this jewel he currently had in his pocket was,

((I'm making this up as I go, I got screwed up a bit but no matter ))
