Sybil stood in front of the Von Mire home. she held her eyes shut and bit her lip. there were so many butterflys in her stomach that she felt as if she was going to float away. what would he think, what would he say? will he dump me, will he help? she wasnt sure how he was going to take it. would he get stressed out and run away again? she couldn't tell. but needed to know.
Sybil raised her fist and rapped on the front door three times and waited anxiously for someone to answer the door.

Cortez answered the door. Sybil actually felt relieved "Hi is Kaosti home?"
"No, i think left to go take a break, then see his mother. why whats wrong?"
Sybil looked distressed no matter how hard she tried to hide it. "what? oh nothings wrong..." she looked down at her feet, she again started to cry. Cortez looked alarmed "Sybil?" the concern in his voice made her spill
"Ebony just told me im pregnant and i need to see Kaosti right away."
"Im sorry i wish i knew exactly where he was.. but. Maybe you should see a doctor first. i know of a really good one. hes a family friend actually. Kaos, Kaosti's grandfather could help you, and he probably knows where kaosti is."
"but i dont know where he is" she said through her tears.
"well you could probably teleport there, you can read my memory so you can visualize it better."
Sybil nodded and placed her hand on his arm and the image of kaos's home flickered through her mind. "alright" she vanished in swirling smoke.

when Sybil returned she was practically kicking herself, she almost told Kaosti. but she wanted to be sure, (though she knew Ebony was not wrong) but what puzzled her the most was how it got there. she blushed with embarrassment and looked at her feet, searching for an answer, or a clue. as she walked, looking at the ground, she made her way to her grandmothers grave. maybe she would have the answer? Sybil read the text, but there was another passage below it that she could not read. this surprised her, "why would this be here? and why cant i read it?" this frustrated her and she looked at the stone with a grimace. then it clicked, it was because Gail never had the chance to teach her, this must have been something left for me to read, but because of her father she was deprived of the knowledge needed to translate it. Sybil felt odd, alone, and lost.
Sybil removed a peace of parchment from her bag, and a pencil, she then traced the engraving onto the paper. maybe she could find a way to translate it.
She went to the royal library and searched for some history books written about her family. she read up on the legends of the ancient world, and how the Starwind family came to be. she was surprised how little she knew about herself. apparently she is a descendant of two gods and still carries the blood in her veins. her first grandmother had apparently appeared out of nowhere, and actualy took part in the creation of Enthelda, her daugher was born ruler of enthelda, then Elli, Gail, and Sybil. she found a chart in an old scrap book, a family tree. but Gail and herself were missing. she updated it, writing in the birth and death of both her mother and father. the wrest of the scrap book was filled with drawings and notes and letters. a few even from Elenath the second. a note from Elli II was about her pregnancy, and she claimed that there was no father, that the goddess had blessed her.
"if this is true, then could it happen to me as well? it may explain the rapid growth." she read further to see if Elli II had noted anything about a faster than normal pregnancy, but there was nothing.
Sybil was happy with her findings, but not fully satisfied. when she checked the time she realized that she had spent her entire day reading, and it was now dark and very late. she retired to bed.

Sybil dreamed of Kaosti, and relived the moments on the beach and on the balcony, and the first time she met him. the she dreamed that she was talking with her ancestor but could not understand, she was talking in some sort of ancient language. Sybil awoke frustrated and crying, the sun shown through the curtains and rays of light fell on her bedspread. it was late morning, and Sybil was thankful that she was not feeling ill this morning. she got up to get dressed but was rejected by her shorts, and her pants, and her jeans, and her skirt. her eyebrow twitched and her nose flared, she then aggressively grabbed for a flowing dress and threw it over herself. "dang you potato." she said to her belly "now i cant wear any of my nice clothes." she slipped on her knee high boots and shuffled into the kitchen where she chowed down on a healthy hearty breakfast. she then lay on the patio to digest.

A ball of light appeared, floating in the chair across from her. the light grew brighter and brighter, until it burst into a brilliant sparkling image of Kaosti. He smiled and said, "Goodmorning sunshine... Why so gloom?"

"im not im full" she said as she patted her belly. she sat up and looked at him. "how long have you been able to do that? and how? what is it?" puzzled, she waved her hand at him.

He smiled, "A while... but I forgot I knew how. It's silly really." Kaosti leaned forward and kissed her cheek and blushed, "So how's life been while i try to find myself?"

She thought for a moment "well, i did some searching on my heritage, and found out that i am a direct descendant of a god, and i have divine blood, and my grandparents have some secret language that i cant understand because my mother never had the chance to teach me." she took a deep breath and sighed. "im beginning to feel like i wont be as great of a leader as my grandmother." she paused, not sure what to say next. the silence seemed to grow, like everything had been hushed, even the trees were quiet. "um.. well there is something else i found out too. Elenath II had an odd pregnancy and gave birth without having sex. and apparently Elenath I was the same way." she paused again, not sure if she should tell him "and well.. i think, that i too am going through one of those strange pregnancys. Im pregnant." her voice gradually grew more quiet, to almost a whisper.

He closed his eyes and the light from him diminished, "So, Does that mean you weren't meant to have a lover...." Kaosti took a deep breath and let it out slowly, "Maybe you should be with Ebony then.... Your father approves of him. He has plenty of life experience when it comes to children...."

Kaosti rested his elbows on the table and brushed his hands through his hair, "I don't know... I'm just... I love you... I love you so much...." tears began to fill his mahogany eyes, "But you have to think about this child now too... how do you want it to be raised... I can tell you that I would love you and this child with all my heart, but... Is that enough..."

Sybil began to cry "i knew i shouldnt have told you. you cant understand. Ebony cant stand the site of me, grandpa is being all weird and "wise" about the whole situation, like he knows what is going to happen but isnt giving me any hints. I feel entirely alone in the whole situation, and i am going to have to end up raising it by myself because no one wants to take the responsibility!" she took a break from her rant and cried some more. "why do you think Ebony would be an option? just because he likes me doesnt mean i share his feelings." she turned away with and angry look on her face. "you say you love me, and i feel the same. but i dont think you are listening to me." she was quiet and placed her hand on her belly, "i am only a few weeks along and it is already visible. its not normal, im frightened." the fierce look remained on her face but her eyes said that she was still insecure.

Kaosti rose from the chair and the bright light was replaced with a full replica of him. He walked over by her side and knelt beside her, brushing a tear away from her eyes, "I hear you. I love you. And as scared as you are... I can match it. I don't want to do what my parents did to me. They love me... But they hurt me so much that i can't even look at them the same anymore."

He kissed her hands gently and laid a hand on her stomach, "I will be here for you. Tomorrow morning you will awake with me by your side.... I promise... Just give me the night to help my mother through her current trouble, and i will be here with you."

Sybil looked into his yes, surprised that he was offering her such commitment. it touched her. she nodded and hugged him tightly. "I love you so much. i will see you in the morning."
for the rest of the day she searched through her wardrobe and closet and separated the clothes that no longer fit, and the ones that were either very stretchy or had enough room in them for her growing belly. after she ate dinner she went to bed early, and had a good nights rest.

Lucid was awaken by Abigail's growling stomach. she looked at him innocently, Lucid sighed. "well i do suppose it is time to eat." he grinned and opened the coffin they shared. the moonlight beamed in and lit up the room. Abigail stepped out and changed into a darling dress. pale and pink, she looked doll like. big chocolate brown eyes, and long lashes, the very sight of her was entrancing.
the mortals were still up and about, and Lucid treated Abigail to an orchestra show. Abigail was dazzled the music was fantastic, she wanted to be part of it. after the show, "I want to make music like that." she told Lucid. "oh you do? thats wonderful, i will teach you how to play the piano." he held her shoulder as they strolled out of the orchestra hall.
A woman spotted them "oh what a beautiful daughter you have" Lucid smiled back at the woman and Abigail curtsied to her and said, "thank you kind lady."
the woman made a sort of squeal "Oh and what a lovely father you are, taking her to nice events like this. and she is so well mannered, you dont see much of that in today's youth." the woman smiled up at Lucid.
"Well if you liked the show, i would like to invite you to my home and show you a bit of my own musical skill." Lucid offered the woman his hand, "my name is Lucid by the way, and this is my little doll Abigail." the woman blushed and fluttered her lashes, "Oh well, I am Victoria, and i would love to hear your music." she took his arm and Lucid escorted his two fine ladies the the carriage. To Lucid's luck, Cortez wasn't home at the moment. (perhaps he was out feeding as well.) Lucid played beautiful and enchanting melodies, his fingers fluttering on the keys, the music lulled Victoria into a trance. she nearly closed her eyes and wobbled as she stood. it was as if she was sleep walking, she went over to Lucid and draped herself over him. Lucid ended his tune and swiftly scooped up Victoria in his arms. Lucid looked at Abigail who was observing him from the couch. "you poor child you look starved, what do you say Victoria, shall we feed the young girl." unable to really respond, Victoria smiled and rested her head on his shoulder. Lucid carried the woman into the kitchen and set he on the counter, under Lucid's spell, she found she could not resist him, she wanted him, lust for him. Victoria brought his face to hers and kissed him, Lucid continued and kissed her cheek and ear. his lips trailed to her neck, he embraced her and sunk his teeth into her pulsing veins. Victoria made a distressed noise, but did not move. Abigail came up to them, Victoria's eyes pleaded for help. Lucid handed Abigail the woman's wrist. "Drink." he commanded her. Abigail took the woman's hand and happily complied, and slowly let her teeth break Victoria's skin.

when Cortez got back from his walk he could smell blood in his home. he looked all over but could not find a drop. only thing that semed out of place was the piano. Cortez gently closed the top of the piano, "Lucid" he mutterd to himself.

Early the next morning, Kaosti, still in his grandfather's body, slipped into Sybil's room through her balcony door and knelt beside her bed. he admired her beauty even as she slept, gently stroking her face and taking his other hand to hold hers. He was a little concerned about her waking up and finding another man looking into her eyes, but he had hoped she would remember that it was him... just in a different body.

Exhausted from his long night of fighting along side his mother, Kaosti found a place to lay his head as he fell asleep at her bedside.
