((And then Syx was totally emo and destroyed it. Sad sad world. XD Gate...that b***h, I knew he was going to turn tail and play traitor. rofl ))
"And you were something of an a** with violent tendencies to anyone who tried approaching you? And you kicked out all of the employees except Vinod, and set him in front of the penthouse to keep people away?" Pen smiled softly, "I should have told them to give you the com before telling you." She chuckled, watching him, the lilac color warming her eyes, "Always so difficult, my Jarred." The humor died a slight bit, though she held the smile "we will discuss earth later, when we we're alone. I'm glad to hear Svarlina made it out safely, I was hoping to get to know her some."
As they moved into the room, Pen let out a sight of relief as the cuffs came off. "first time in an Earth prison...and of course, it's after I've properly switched sides. Ironic some?" She glanced back at the officers. "Anything I'm required to do? Or will the process take care of itself?"

Das Steube "You can move the Rioreet to my dad's garage. He's got one of the best equipped on the planet. We built the Star's Light and the Dialanche there, if that's anything." "The Rioreet is in a bad way. I don't know if anything will fix her now." Hattie shook her head and looked at Eric. "I've taken care of her as long as I can. I guess I've just lost my touch."

"So, let me make sure I understand this correctly. My history on Osis might not be up to date, latest happenings as they were, so correct me if I'm wrong." Lee allowed himself a small grin, "You were created by the genius Johachim, who half of the censused population of everywhere doesn't even believe in, another fourth thinks he's roughly Santa Claus. For an unknown reason, likely the one you've explained to me now, though, you turned against him and his, moving to the Kore, taking over Osis. Now you don't like all of this, and you want to cut and run to us, the smartest move you've made so far." He paused, letting it sink in, whether a robot needed it or not. "Now, I'm not turning you down outright, but you have to understand my position. First of all, it's not my call, secondly, what's to say you don't turn tail on us at the first sign of a magnet?"

"Just stand still, Ma'am. It will only take a moment." Jarred stood rather awkwardly as this took place, still not sure on everything, and not wanting to be sure until this made him sure, one way or another.
The walls of the room grew to a dim white light, and there was a soft humming. Gautrine felt a slight tingle, and the process was done.
The other people, however, saw something much different. It was like watching a master chef slice a cucumber, where it seems as if he's only moved once, but a dozen slices appear. Pendari's body was split into a score of vertical layers, spread out, hand to hand, where applicable, and then reformed just as quickly. "Process is complete." The computer chimed. Jarred stepped foreword, pulling out his PDA. A file transfer began, uploading to the computer. Moments later, a confirmation appeared: it was Pen, odds be damned.

Pen held still, her eyelids scrunched closed as she waited for whatever would be happening. As the computer chimed though, one of her eyes opened, surprised. "Am I done?" She asked, expecting the process to take a little longer. "What did it say? I'm not a clone, am I?"

Svarly jerked awake after having fallen asleep. She pulled herself up from the floor, listening for voices and any change. For the most part, it seemed like a bad dream, but she assumed she was hopped up on drugs or something. "Oi, anyone out there?" She called.

There was a long pause on the other end. "I understand that this is... Troublesome. I am known for nothing aside from betraying my maker, now betraying the people I betrayed him to, so I understand just how this looks. Name the price, tell your leaders that whatever they ask, they will have. I could not fend off Earth forces, even with Kore backing. I would loose everything, including Osis, and you would still be able to march on the Kore without affliction. I do this not out of want, but need, desperation. The Kore has turned on me, and I intend to survive this war.

Eulalia Danae Svarly jerked awake after having fallen asleep. She pulled herself up from the floor, listening for voices and any change. For the most part, it seemed like a bad dream, but she assumed she was hopped up on drugs or something. "Oi, anyone out there?" She called. The effeminate man, Dev, opened the door of her room a crack and poked his head in. Seeing her getting up from the floor, his face took a concerned look. "Are you alright? I thought they'd at least put you on the bed!"
He opened the door the rest of the way and stood out of the way so she could walk through, shaking his head. "Look, Miss... I don't know what you've heard, or if they told you anything in there, but this sort of treatment isn't right. We oblige the FOXes, but this... this is over the line. Do you want breakfast?"

"Are we playing good cop bad cop?" Svarly asked, pulling herself up from the floor. She looked at Dev for a moment, debating, but finally nodded. "Sure, I'll take breakfast."

Eulalia Danae "Are we playing good cop bad cop?" Svarly asked, pulling herself up from the floor. She looked at Dev for a moment, debating, but finally nodded. "Sure, I'll take breakfast." "Probably," he grumbled crossly. "Sometimes I think they stay here just to use us," he continued plaintively, leading her back downstairs to the kitchen. "We do the right thing, we do it honestly, and..." His shoulders slumped. "As Friends, we believe that doing the right thing and being honest is always the best policy. And it is, really. But at the Meetings, when they say to someone 'Just keep the faith and do the right thing, and everything will work out for the better,' you start to wonder how true that is. Like," he added, giving her a quick look, "how is it good to do what we think is right, if we're just playing into a FOX's hands? They never tell the truth. Manipulation and tricks are their trade.
"So for all I know, yeah, I'm playing 'good cop' now." He got out a plate and set some crepes in the 'heater to warm up. His last words were bitter. "Like I know what they even want you for. What did you do, assassinate someone?"

"Officer, I'm gonna have to ask you open that door. It's been along time since I've gotten a kiss, and you're kind of in the way." The door opened, and Jarred quickly rushed in there, sweeping Pen up in his arms. "How?"

"If nothing else, betraying us would make for an extra amusing sales pitch to whomever you betrayed us to." Lee paused. "I'll speak with my superiors, and I'll get back to you. Inform one of my men how I can contact you when the time comes, and we'll see if we can come to an arrangement." Lee hung up his phone, the call transferring automatically back to the man who transferred it to Lee, who then I'm assuming spoke with Gate about all the shtuff.

Arch the Angel "Officer, I'm gonna have to ask you open that door. It's been along time since I've gotten a kiss, and you're kind of in the way." The door opened, and Jarred quickly rushed in there, sweeping Pen up in his arms. "How?" Pen's smile faltered slightly. "Ora and I were looking for a way to destroy the stone, when we came across some information. I was told part of that information, the place, and Ora kept whatever other piece there was to know." Gautrine rested her forehead against Jarred's, looking weighed down and weary. "Haldis revived me, so she could have access to what I knew. Now she knows everything about me, and everything I know about you." Gautrine's eyes closed, hiding away the silver change. "What she wanted, and needed was the information. She sent me back to Earth as a message, or just a mockery, I suppose. She enjoyed teasing you on the ship, especially with your fear of 'voodoo'." Pen shrugged lightly, "As for Jishara, I'm certain the Kore will attack it, and destroy whatever was on that planet for us to find." Her eyes opened again, "There was one other thing. I braided Eric's hair. It was necessary for his survival, but still, I'm sorry."

What did you do, assassinate someone?"Svarly followed after him watching the crepes as they warmed, her stomach announcing it's presence by form of a low gurgle. "Good cop isn't a bad role to play." She was quiet for a moment then shrugged. "Didn't kill anyone, at least not directly. My sister was more into that role than I ever was, I've just been a common go-between for the heads and the lowers of the Kore, that's it. I don't have all that much information, and my only real worth was when I was doing my job, because it offered a lot of manipulation opportunities. But now, without that, I'm just as much worth to people as a grunt they pulled off the field."

Eric shook his head. "Nah, hon. You just need to go with the new and not hold on so much to the old tech. Yeah, your dad built it... But I'm sure he'd rather it stay in good shape as opposed to it falling apart because you clung on so hard."
