"Dealt with it?," Jacen asked her, "I don't know if I rightly dealt with it...but....."

"But what?"

"There really is no separating what Rage did from myself...it was my body. My hands. My actions. I know nothing can change that."

"That doesn't really answer my question, Jacen," Penance said.

"Sorry, sweetheart....." Jacen thought for a second. It was nearly a lifetime ago that he was abducted and forced into the servitude of Ahab, and since he'd been with.... "Honestly, what has helped me cope with it.....is all the training I do...have done," Jacen said, somewhat explaining his position on the whole ordeal. "Because of the ones I killed.....my mutant bretheren......that's why I serve here for the X-Men..."

"Something else?"

"Of course," he said with a big smile, "You forget.....all that happened during prom. And we were just starting to get to know each other." He gave her a kiss on her forehead before speaking again. "Just having you there, someone that I can actually be rather forthcoming with...it's helped alot, Evie. I know this is unspoken...but if you need an ear.....you know where to find me."

The light went out in Theresa's room. At first she did nothing. But then the past fear reveiled itself. She screamed. She leaped out of bed, and started to beat on her door in terror. her scream grew in intesity, in pitch. Soon nearby windows began to shatter.

When the emergency lights came on, She instantly calmed down. The use of her power somehow gave a temporary relief of her fear of the dark. The building of her mutant hormones, from cloaking the power, had caused her to go into the fearful state.

She leaves her room, stepping over glass form a glass of water. In the long dark wallway she mumbles aloud, "Hello?"

Penance leaned on his shoulder, "Don't worry, Jacen. There's only two people in the world I trust my secrets to. You both will be hearing a lot from me... and no, I haven't forgotten prom."

Smirking, she pretended to dance around the courtyard. It really was nice being free. Jacen just shook his head at her.

"Yes, I'm crazy, but some things have to stay normal, right?" She smiled, "I guess there's no easy way to do all this. Accept what Jade did, and move on with my life. I've never been one to dwell. And it's not like I'm going to forget what she did..."

Penance stopped and thought for a moment, "And I suppose running away from it won't help me much either."

Looking back at the Institute, she linked her arm around Jacen's, "Okay, I'll take you up on your offer then. But you know you're under a lot of pressure... technically I haven't eaten anything in over a year.... oh, and this weekend, would you want to travel towards the city with me? I need to see my sisters."

Tetsuo could hear the scream as if she was standing right beside him. Cuping his hands over his ears, wincing because the sound hurt his ears. He growled...then gave a screaming-roar sound, not unlike the velociraptor roars from Jurrasic Park.

The sounds Tetsuo could make were actualy geneticly engeneered into him. The only reason he could make thoes sounds was the lab he was created in intended to make an entire pack just like him...mutant hunters.

As soon as the scream stopped, Tetsuo realized how much noise he had made. He was still sitting beside the doorway to the infermary. Did they hear him? or were they blissfully unaware of his presence?

Theresa backs against the wall as she realized what the sound roaring in the background of her scream had reminded her of. It reminded her of those terrible raptor thing from Jurassic Park. "We... need to get out of here..." SHe mumbles lightly under breath.

As she tended to do, Kylia slipped in out of no where and in between Emma and Kris. Very calmly she picked up the mug that started the argument and placed it on a near by table.
There we are, it would be dangerous to leave this on the steps any longer.” She said with smile and an innocent sparkle in her eyes.

After the initial surprise of Kylia's sudden entrance wore-off. Both spoke up and ask about her appearance.

Oh, I am terribly sorry how rude of me not to introduce myself. I am Kylia Mavrick pleased to make your acquaintance.... Miss Emma Frost and.... Mr. Kris Griever
While the gentleman seem surprised by the fact that Kylia knew who he was, Emma on the other hand seemed slightly annoyed by this act of formality.

My aren't you well informed.... and how does a little girl like you come about this kind of information? Emma stated with a slight tone of arrogance and announce.

Kylia just smiled very sweetly as she played with a few loose strands of hair. I can understand Miss Frost that you assume by petite size and stature that I am very young and should still have less understanding than you think. But that is quite the contrary.” It was very true that Kylia was small in stature, standing a little over 5' 2", having a rather petite build, and delicate features, it didn’t surprise her that people mistook her age. Despite what they have believed she was in fact 18 years old and possesed a knowledge of a good many things far beyond most peoples’ understanding because that was the way she was built. But she did not them this. There where a great of things about herself that where best not said to most... but then again there are secrets about herself that not even Kylia knew about.
“Let’s just say for now that is my job to know a lot of different things...” And she left the issue at that and turned to the reason she had come to the institute in the first place. Kylia explained tp Emma that she had come to see the Professor, Mr. Summers, and herself about a very important issue. But when she inquired as to what Kylia just stated that she could not address the issue here unto so many unknown ears.

Emma seemed to be slightly annoyed but she understood what the girl was trying to say, so asked Logan to escort Kylia to Scott’s office and that she would be up there shortly. Kylia thanked her for understand and then apologized to Kris for interrupting their “conversation” before heading on her way.

"I dont care. ANywhere is better than here. No one believed me at first, now they will end up being forced to believe me. Im not crazy. I know what I heard, and no its back. We cant stay here,but I cant leave the others either."
Theresa was a mess. She was stressed out. SHe didnt even know what "it" was, but know that it couldnt be good.

"Hey everyone!" Rachael said stepping into the kitchen for something to eat. Her mouth watered when the smell of the burgers hit her nose. "Hey Penny!" She said brightly. "Welcome back! You alright? Everything ok now?" She didn't have the full details of the incident so she thought that Penny just had a few issues she needed help dealing with. Since there were no burgers made she opened the frige and after shifting a few things around produced the last two slices of pizza she had been hiding from everyone else.
