"Hmm...I guess it does." Jade blinked before closing her eyes thoughtfully, "What has the wind led me to so far? Well...lots I guess." Jade's lips formed a small smile, "I've met many taurs that I never would've known before and well there's so many small adventures that've passed too!" Her tail curled around a paw, "Sometimes though I feel used. It seems like the wind just takes me around on a goose chase where my breaks usually involved helping others."
Her eyes flitted open and Jade looked up to the sky. "But...I rather enjoy the journey. I'm hopin' to be lucky enough to find some sort of personal pot of gold at the end of this wind blown rainbow. I wouldn't discourage you from some listening, Tuula."

Tuula took a quick sip of drink before setting it to the ground so that she could listen attentatively to Jade. At the end, she gave a small smile while looking up at the sky. "Even having the power of wind doen't protect us from its buggery ways it seems. It goes to them four corners and don't care what gets caught up in its draft." She shook her head. "Who knows. I have fond memories in my home. Harsh, very harsh ones too. I'll have to see what the wind tells me first." She glanced up at the room, then off where Alek had vanished. "How long you think before they can stand sanely again?"

"That's true." Jade grinned, "But maybe that's what makes it so fun for me." Her gaze slid back over to Tuula, "Yeah. I guess that's a good plan." Her grin faded into a small frown as she grew thoughtfully silent.
"I don't know about Ashierra, but Alek has his moods sometimes. That fight brought out something in him that is hard to handle. He'll be a downer for the rest of the day. But I'm sure he'll be energetic tomorrow! He's a bouncer like me after all!"
With a yawn the cattaur stood and stretched, "Maybe we should head inside too. I'm completely exhausted. I've got another room to rent if you need a place to sleep for tonight, Tuula."

Tuula nodded slightly. "I hope they do bounce back. They did something good tah'day. They should be feeling good once they have the energy to." She smiled appreciatively but shook her head. "No. My home is not too far. I feel like sleepin' in mah own bed tonight." She stood as well and took one of Jade's hands in both her own. "May you find that pot o' gold, Jade."

With a bright smile, Jade squeezed Tuula's hands. "Alright, and may you find your own one day. See ya, Tuula~" With a giggle she was breezing back inside of the inn where she hurried up the stairs. With barely a squeak Jade opened her door and walked into her own room. Soon enough she was entering a soundless sleep.
Steam had stopped rising from the cattaur and now Alek was curled up next to the stream. A smooth moss covered rock had become his pillow as the weary events of the day took its toll on his body. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
(Time skip joy! >3> )
It was nearing noon when Jade knocked tentively at Ashierra's door, "Ashierra?" She paused and pressed her ear against the door before knocking again - this time louder, "Hey? Ashierra! It's morning~"

Tuula headed back home, a smile on her face the entire time. Tomorrow she would fix the bridge. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ ( whoot! )
Having slept through the evening after the fight and all through the night, Ashierra's eyes still fought to keep the sun from her grainy dry eyes. "Mmermbraznnnerbpth." She muttered into her arm, rolling her face into the pillow. She woke with a sudden start when she started inhaling said pillow, coughing. Everything felt sore and dry. Running a hand through her hair, she glared at the door. "What?" She could hardly hear when was said, or who was saying it. Her mind was only focused on how bright the sun was. She felt like she had a hangover.

"Are you awake yet?" Without even waiting for an answer Jade pushed the door open and hopped inside. "Morning!" Following her was a small silver tray of steaming breakfast foods that magically bounced behind her. "I was bored and so I went ahead and got some food. You hungry, nya?" Jade tilted her head as she looked at Ashierra and the tray nearly tipped over in her forgetfulness. But in time the jug of water sloshed back into place without spilling too many drops.
Stretching the male cattaur ran through some paces before looking back towards the town. 'I should head back...'

"No, I'm still sleeping. Lemme alone." She said grumpily, tossing an arm over her eyes. Sighing, the scent of food caused her belly to betray her with a long growl. "Jerk." She said to her own stomach as her arm fell back to her side. Pushing herself up, she winced as the burned skin on her hand stretched and cracked. She took a turn to glare at that too before looking back up at Jade. "I should probably clean up first." She muttered, her head only slowly coming out of its mental fog, bleary eyes searching for the bathroom door.

Jade laughed before forcing a sincere smile, "Alright sleepy. Go ahead and wash up. Some cool water might help with the injuries." Her careful eyes had caught the wince and Jade felt concerned. If only she knew of a cattaur healer nearby. But that wasn't the case. Walking to the left, Jade even opened the door for Ashierra before walking back to the center of the room. "Have fun."
Sighing Jade decided to clean up a bit around the room and settled the tray on the bed after she smoothed the covers down a bit. Looking back at the tray she wondered if she should've gotten more food.
Warm sunlight brushed a tingling feeling across Alek's back as he ran towards the inn. Still though he hesitated on the town's outskirts as he remembered yesterday and the side he had shown at the battle. Had she noticed?

Despite Jade noticing, Ashierra hid her injured hand at her side, noticing the bruises from the battle becoming tender. She got up and half wobbled to the bath. "Be only a minute." She said, coming just short of slamming the door. As the water fell on her back, steam rising even thought the water was cold, she inspected her hand. It had bled a little from cracking, the skin crisp and numb to her touch. That fire... It wasn't like any normal fire, or her own fire, or what she'd seen Alek use before. Out of the water, she wrapped her hand in a clean cloth, pinning it tight.

Sitting down on the bed Jade sighed softly to herself before plastering on a small smile. Her hand held a knife and she started to slab butter on her dry piece of toast. 'Yummy.' The toast crunched in her mouth as she leaned back lazily. 'I hope we leave here soon. This place isn't so nice anymore after all.' The small frown of worry flitted over her features as she took another bite of toast.
He leaned against the hallway wall near Ashierra's room. Shaky paw steps went towards her door before he finally stopped in his tracks. Sliding down against the wall Alek clutched his bandaged hands and lowered his gaze to the floor. His eyelids started to feel heavy and soon enough his eyes closed as he sat there next to the door.

Clean and feeling fresher, Ashierra stepped out and gave Jade a sad smile. "Sorry. I shouldn't have snapped at you." She sat on the mattress, grabbing a bit of food from the tray. "And, I'm sorry about yesterday. I caused you so much trouble." She hesitated before asking the question she yearned to know the answer to, her voice soft. "Have you seen Alek?"

"Pssh. No worries about it." Jade swallowed before daintily wiping the crumbs away from the edges of her mouth. "Jeez, we all caused each other trouble yesterday. I brought us into that mess myself if I remember correctly anyways." Smiling Jade nodded, "So let's just call it even, kay?"
She paused teasingly as Ashierra asked that question. "You want to see him, eh? The lovely fire boyo hasn't come back since yesterday though. So sad..." Her purr was light as she stood. "We could go look for him. You need to eat first though, but I'll look outside."
Hands on the door handle Jade pushed open the door and was surprised to hear a faint thud.
His beautiful day dream had been interrupted the second he heard voices. Alek had been in the process of standing before the door slammed open...smacking him flat in the face. Dazed the cattaur barely heard Jade's small exclamation of surprise before falling backwards.
Jade laughed lightly to cover her embarrassment, "Found him~"

Ashierra smiled slightly, still feeling somewhat responsible. "Okay." She nibbled on a piece of buttered toast, the taste helping her appetite return. She scarfed the toast and started on some bacon as Jade talked. Her face was only just able to remain placid at Jade's playful tease, but the thud of the door caught her attention. "'Him'?" She asked in confusion. "Alek! Are you all right?" She jumped up and made it halfway to the door before stopping. 'Emotions! Control your emotions!' Her yearn to run to his side and pick him up, to wrap herself in his arms to be sure he was really Alek, alive and well, that and more were quelled and pushed down. Instead, she stiffened her back, walked over instead of ran, and held out her good hand, the other hidden at her side. "You okay?" She was too busy trying to be stoic to let herself laugh at Alek's position like she normally would have done.

Jade's mouth turned up into a small smirk as she saw Ashierra's reaction. 'Really...' With a hand pressed against her mouth Jade suppressed the laughter that threatened to spill out. It only got worse when she noticed the look in Alek's eyes. He wouldn't be that stupid....wait yes, yes he would be.
"Why are there stars?" Alek felt groggy from the door's impact. Still it only took a couple of seconds for his recovery to start taking effect. "Wait...what just happened?" Alek gave Ashierra his best blank stare before looking back at her hand.
A couple of silent seconds passed before he finally reached out and poked her good hand. "Do I know you well enough to take your hand, miss?"
