Katsuko looked at the spider. she had never seen one so big but it didn't scare her. she had always liked spiders. *Thats ironic isn't it?* she thought, waiting patiently for it to bite her.

Garret looked at Katsuko and then at the spider, then back at Katsuko. He sighed in disappointment. "Alright Nina, back in the cage." he said watching the spider as it crawled back in the cage. "I gotta get more food for you my not so little bundle of joy." he said as he walked back to his storage room and placed the cage down in his bestiary section.

Katsuko groaned. her head felt like it was going to blow. *Why is this happening to me? is this punishment for going against the river?*

Garret took another red vial from his nightstand. He crouched by Katsuko, opened her mouth and poured the red liquid down her throat.

Katsuko coughed as the liquid slid down her throat. she rolled over and coughed out more blood.

Katsuko felt the places he abused her numbing and soon she felt a lot better. she wasn't completely restored but she could move. she got into a kneeling position and looked around. she saw one of Garrett's knives laying on the table and she reached for it. she held it in a shaky hand. *Where would be the quickest place?* she wondered. she decided on the throat and rested the blade on her skin. it sent chills down her back. *Forgive me mother.*

Garret walked back to his room and saw Katsuko with his knife, he snatched it out of her hand and asked "What the hell are you doing with my knife?" Garret slapped her on the back of her head and shook his head.

Katsuko touched the back of her head. *so weird- no matter how much he kicks or punches me it still doesn't compare to what i went through mentally and emotionally at the palace.* "I don't want to be here." she said.
