I guess I'll never be a mature, cool adult. I don't smoke and I rarely drink. I've never been drunk (never wanted to, really) and I've never done drugs. I have no desire to do things like that, and even if I did, I wouldn't be able to afford it.
You're right, though. There is that image that kids see and want to emulate. I wish that the adults would give the kids something better to copy, though.

I've been drunk, but I don't smoke. I don't use drugs. I read books.

Sounds like you're a pretty balanced person! And I'm not saying that just because I love people who read books! lol
My sisters both get drunk on occasion. I get horrible migraines on a regular basis, though, and I'm afraid of what being drunk would do to me. Besides, I'm a good girl and worry about what I might become if I were drunk. Apparently my sister (who, like me, doesn't curse) has a mouth like a sailor when she's drunk. I would be very upset with myself if I did something like that. I get giggly and flirtatious when I've had some alcohol. Champagne is the worst! lol I suspect I might be a little TOO friendly if I ever got drunk!

I sing when I'm drunk. I tell my 'secrets' when I'm drunk. They aren't really secrets... Just things that I've been wanting to say, but never had the guts.
I also flirt with chicks, but that's nothing I wouldn't do sober.

I sing all the time! lol I used to go around grocery stores singing show tunes with my sister. She would sing the harmony and I would take the melody. What can I say? I come from a musical family.
I worry about telling too many secrets, too. I tend to be pretty reserved and not share too much of myself. I don't know how people would react if I told them all I was really feeling. What if they wouldn't like me anymore? *has a bit of an inferiority complex*
I'm a bit of a flirt by nature, too. Since flirting is, by definition, without serious intent, I don't worry about it too much. I like smiling and laughing, and guys like the attention. It's a win-win for everyone!

Man, 30 hours straight of work sucks.
The problem with getting drunk is finding your balance point. The ideal is to drink until you get your buzz (for me is my head tingles then goes away, leaving me feeling energetic and bouncy-like). Then you should only drink to maintain that buzz. Most teens and drunkards just go overboard, and get obliterated. Unless you want to get obliterated (that's what I did last Thursday).
And I just sing whenever I can. Especially when on watch, we'll call the other control center and serenade them with awesome lyrics. FOR PONY!!!

YOU DON'T DRINK?!!!! Please tell me you're under 18 or 21. I myself would never wish that on anyone of age.
And we don't even know if you sing or not! gonk

Ah, I do know how you feel. Believe it or not, I never started drinking until I was after I turned 21. In actuality, I only drink on occasion, and do it purposefully when I'm stressed cause of work. Or when I go to hang out with friends. Even now, I'd rather relax with enough soda to fill a bathtub.
Beer sucks. period. the bubbly part is just like the carbonation from soda, only waaaaay more bitter. Taste isn't all that good. Liquor varies. Stuff like whiskey (JD), rum, taquila, burbon need something to go down with it. (due to the burn you feel down your throat). vodka kinda neutral, jager is pretty tasty. and mixed drinks are the best. They also have creative names, like the long island ice tea, the zombie, jack and coke (well, not creative, but still good)
The most important part is to not miss out on too much. Go ahead and give it a chance. If it's not your thing, then don't sweat it and move on. And sorry if I sound pushy, but as one who will miss a lot, I like making sure others get as much enjoyment as possible.

I don't plan to drink ever... I just don't see a point... and my motto "If there is no good reason do to something that is enough reason to not do it" to my knowledge it isn't something that will help you... maybe help you forget... or feel good... but that just shows weakness...

Yeah, I see where you're coming from. I like your motto too. It's really catchy-like.
But boy, I sure do get long-winded at times. Usually I can't think of anything, but give me something I'm interested in, and just go off.

I was straight edge until I hit 21. I never saw myself drinking regularly. I don't really, but I still drink more that I ever thought I would. When I hit 21, a friend dragged me out to the state line (where gambling is legal) and got me to try all sorts of stuff. Being a lightweight, it didn't take long for me to agree without even thinking of arguing. I lost $70 and was told to drive myself home even though I was buzzed.
Needless to say, I never went out with that "friend" again. I also was taught a very valuable lesson of NEVER DRIVE DRUNK. Fugging scary...
I drink on occasion now. I'll sometimes order beer when I'm out. Beer isn't the best tasting thing in the world, but I still like it way better than anything hard. It also prevents me drinking a soda and sugar is the last thing I need. Sam Adams and Asahi are two of my favorites, but I'm willing to try just about anything. Bud, however, is crap and I don't understand how/why people drink it! At home, I just have a glass of wine or a shot of Geikeikkan sake (cheap stuff, gotta love it! XP) once in a while. However, I gotta admit that girly drinks are the pinnacle of all alcoholic drinks. <3

@ Pockets: If you don't feel you should drink, then you shouldn't. It's expensive and not really that good for you, anyway.
@ zeromus: You and your sleep habits! lol And they let you near nuclear reactors?????
