"Hotaru," Merlin said. "This is the King." Right after Merlin had said this, Anna walked in. "Finally awake?" she said with a smile, her eyes still a little damp and red.

Leon nodded to Yuffie and Anna.
Hotaru brought his gaze into the room, settling on Merlin. "And I really don't care." He sighed. "The way I see it, I have to be all nice an crap when I get there, and then I get back up. If I do that. If I don't I get what? A location to start and a good luck?" He stopped, and turned around to look out the window. Opening it, he looked out at the sky. "I don't know if I want people accompanying me. If I screw up, and they die....." He trailed off there.
Leon was about to smack Hotaru, but stopped. "I get where you're coming from kid, really.....but back up is a good thing....." He sighed, and walked over to Yuffie, whispering in her ear.
Yuffie just nodded. "Understood boss...." She walked over to Merlin, and grabbed him by the arm. "Out we go.....lets leave him be for a little while.....least his hearts in the right place this time.......besides, we really should inform the king of his.......unique personality. She smiled, as she dragged Merlin out of the room, following Leon to his house.

Anna watched Yuffie and Merlin leave, wondering why she was left out of it. She took a seat opposite of Hotaru and stared at him, worried. "Any reason I'm still here?" she finally asked, slipping her eyes to see Leon

Leon nodded. "Let him fill you in on the details. We should be back in......awhile....Yuffie loves to keep the king talking....."He sighed, and walked out.
Hotaru slumped his shoulders as he turned around. "So.....this is a lot to take in, but two days from now, I'm leaving. Kings orders" He scowled when he said the last bit. "And I wont be back for awhile....." He sighed and closed his eyes. "So, if there's anything you want to do, or anything you want to keep as a keepsake or whatever, just let me know...." He turned back towards the window to keep blush hidden.

Anna had taken her knees up to her chest, letting her feet rest on the part of the chair the back end was suppose to go on. She wrapped her arms around her legs and looked at Hotaru over them with a very serious look. She just stared at him for while until finally say, "The thing I want most in the world, above everything else, is for you to be safe."

He chuckled as he faced her. "Oh, come on. You know that's the one thing I can't give you." He shook his head smiling. "Anything else, I'll try, but being safe when I'm going to save everything and everyone......that's just impossible. I wouldn't be able to accomplish anything if I played it safe."

"But there are at least whys to be safer," she said, keeping her expression. "I realize that no matter what you're still on a dangerous mission, but... well... have you considered back up?"

He nodded. "Considered. But I really don't think I can handle it.....like I said earlier.....if I screw up. Do something stupid, and it costs someone else their life? No way am I going to let anyone take such a risk...." He shrugged. "Why do you ask?"

"Well," she said her eyes falling to look at her knees. "I was just thinking that there must be someone out there who could help you. Who you wouldn't have to worry about. Someone whose always been there when things were most dangerous for you, who've helped you through it, maybe even kept you... safe."

He looked at her. "Well....there is this one person, but I don't even really know her. So I don't know if she'd be willing, or even how to find her." He shrugged, and walked over to her. Putting his hands on her shoulders as he knelt down in front of her. "You shouldn't worry about that though, some how things always end up working out for me." He smiled at her softly.

Anna looked at him when he started mentioning the girl. "This person is at least worth looking in to. You could just tell the King you want her with you and who knows? Maybe she'll be there. Some how things always end up working out for you, right?" There was pleading in her voice and eyes.

He shrugged. "He'll probably want to know about her....and she used to work with the heartless, who knows if he would think she was trustworthy.....and in the end, king makes the rules. No matter how I feel about it." He sighed, and rested the side of his head on her knee. "But even if he doesn't want her there.....well, if I'm the one chosen, I'll just hunt her down." He gave a smile.

He nodded lightly and stood up. "Merlin said something about food......" He was talking to himself at this point. "Where oh where are you my delicious meal....." He used a sing song voice for it as he closed his eyes and sniffed the air.

Anna put her knees down and swerved her body on the chair to follow Hotaru. "Why did you blush earlier?" she asked, her hands on the back of the chair, the side of her head resting on them.
