((HAPPY SUPER BOWL SUNDAY... LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. the end.... hmmmm.... *looks thoughtful*))

Cain drew into himself and became silent. His eyes were burning, his jaw clenched. His whole body was rigid and on edge, but he knew she was beyond listening to his words. He could see how distant she was from him, how unaffected by his rage. Flames licked at his fingers again, along the palms of his hand and around his wrists.

He fell back a step. "Fine." He said. "Feel nothing. Be here with these people and feel NOTHING. You will ALWAYS be an outsider, Lilith, even when you're with them." And he turned away. The tell tales of his demon nature slowly slid away, but a single burning tear slid from his eye and was gone before anyone would have known the difference.

((hahaha, he wuffs his sister D: awwww... hahahaha. What a big old baby face. GO BE BY YOURSELF AND SULK! MISTER. TIME OUT. ... what? I don't know. I need to go to work.)

Cain was not even entirely away when Talen and Saul ran up. Talen quickly knelt beside his friend and put his hands on his shoulders.

"Abel!" He said in a broken voice. "Hey!" He was trying to smile, but it was sad. "Abel, it's Talen. Shh... geez... I don't even know what he's saying.

Saul stood by Talen's side and looked to Lilith.

((hahaha, YAAAAY.))

((LOL FOOTBALL IS AMAZING. I love watching big sweaty guys in tight pants pile on each other! YES.

Football is one of the gayest sports aside from wrestling. Hahaha.))

Lilith narrowed her eyes as Cain told her she'd be an outsider. She didn't turn around though to look at him. When she said she was done, she meant it. She couldn't have him dragging her down anymore. As Talen and Saul ran over Lilith took a step back from Abel to let Talen talk to him. Her gaze shifted to Saul when he looked at her and she quickly looked away.

"We should get him back to your place." She said to Talen with that empty voice, watching Talen and Abel.

Abel stared at the ground, not even looking up when Talen ran over. When the boy touched his shoulder though he flinched noticeably and tried to pull away. His body tensed up and his breathing stopped momentarily. There was something about him that seemed broken, like a shattered mirror. He didn't look at anyone, didn't talk to anyone in particular, and tears seemed to leak out without purpose.

Lilith folded her arms and sighed. "I don't think he's..." she stopped and shook her head. "Let's just get him home. Then we can figure out what to do." She said and put her hands onto Abel's, she melted the ice. When Abel was free he instantly began to move away and Lilith snatched his wrists and pulled them behind him, getting hit by his wings as she froze his wrists together like handcuffs. "Stop moving." She muttered but Abel squirmed, wings flapping violently. Lilith narrowed her eyes as she was hit again. "I SAID STOP!" She screamed and Abel froze, giving Lilith just the time she needed to fully freeze his wings together. She let go and Abel stumbled forwards, trying to break away from the bounds.

"Talen...you better hold on to him." She said simply, watching Abel move like a caged bird, doing anything to get out. "He won't hurt you."

((LOLOL.I SHOULD POST... And shower. I smell

AND HEY. HEY. FOOTBALL PLAYERS ARE HAAAARDENED CRIMINALS....

LOOOL. From all that dropping of the soap... hahahahahaha, it should NOT be so easy to make football players look so gay. Because they could beat the s**t out of me. Like... they could LOOK at me and my spine would just like... snap in half D: ))

Talen eyes were searching Abel's face for any sign of his friend and didn't seem to be having much luck. He squeezed his eyes shut. "I'll KILL him." He whispered so fiercely anyone would have believed him. "I would... I'd..." And he clenched his fists, hackles rising along his back. "He DESTROYED HIM! This... I can NEVER forgive him!" And he stood like he would have gone after him then, demon or no, he would beat him until his face was nothing but a bleeding smear on the pavement.

Saul seemed to be hurting as well, deeper than his wounds. He couldn't bring himself to look at Lilith. The way she avoided his gaze made his chest ache. "Talen." He said in his raw voice. He put a gentle hand to his friend's shoulder.

Talen swung at him still in a rage. Saul didn't flinch as he got struck across the face. Seeing what he had done Talen seemed to collapse in on himself and buried his face in his hands. "I can't forgive him, Saul."

Saul placed a hand on Talen's shoulder once more. "I don't blame you. Let's take Abel home, Talen. Forget him for now." He shook him gently. "Abel needs us right now."

Talen pulled his face from his hands and took Abel from Lilith. He wasn't afraid of Abel hurting him, seeing him as he was now hurt him worse than Abel could have physically inflicted on him. "I let you down." Was all he could say to Abel, whether he was listening or not. "And there's nothing I can ever do to make that up to you." And he slowly led him the way back to his house.

Saul stared after him then glanced at Lilith. His eyes were sad, but he waited up for her before he started to walk.

((hahaha, aw. I NEED SHOWEEER.))

((Haha but they are still gay. D: You can be fit and crazy strong and still be gay. Like wrestlers.))

Lilith watched as Talen yelled and get upset. She stood still and looked away, feeling as though she shouldn't be seeing any of this nor hearing any of it. She would never understand what Talen felt, so why try to sympathize for him if she couldn't?

When Talen started to lead Abel away she noticed Saul stay behind. Lilith walked over to him and walked with him behind the two in front. "I told you to stay." She said quietly to him and frowned towards him. "You going deaf now too?" Her eyes were now back to their crystal green color and she shook her head. "Never mind. It doesn't matter anymore does it? We're all safe. That's what matters I guess." She hooked her thumbs into her pockets and looked up at the sky as the walked, letting the cool night air linger around her.

As they finally reached the house Abel was completely silent, though still not looking at anyone. He had stopped struggling, obviously weakened and exhausted. His body seemed limp and heavy by the way he dragged his feet and let his shoulders and head sag, eyelids trying to stay up.

Lilith came to a stop at the door steps and folded her arms over her stomach. "He looks like he's about to pass out..." She muttered, noticing his head tilt forward. It rose back up and he breathed in deeply, coughing and moving his arms slightly before letting them fall back again, knowing there was no way to move his hands. Lilith walked over to him and made the ice melt off of him. When she did he didn't try to run or move. Instead he rubbed at his face and eyes. He then closed his eyes and began to fall backwards, body deciding it was time for some rest.

((Hhaha, whatevs. Gay or not, they could kick my a** seven ways to sunday.))

Saul was facing straight ahead, but his grey eyes were downcast. He was silent as she spoke and just managed to look at her from the corners of his eyes. She still looked beautiful to him, but he didn't mention it.

"I'm sorry." is all he said. He looked like he needed to say more, he opened his mouth and there was a slight hitch to his step, but instead he sighed and the words were gone. He tilted his head back and shut his eyes, arms crossed tightly over his chest.

When they reached Talen's door and Lilith released him, Talen almost on a reflex caught Abel when he began to fall. He lifted him back up effortlessly and nodded at the door. Saul opened it himself and moved out of the way to let Talen through. Once inside Talen made directly for the couch and lay him down. Alice came down the stairs as soon as she heard the door open.

"Talen!" She said. "Where have you..." She stopped, voice stuck in her throat. "Oh..." She said and was beside Abel. She looked to her brother, but had no scolding words to say to him. The expression on his face told her he was giving himself a hard time. "Talen." She said more softly. "What..." And didn't finish.

Talen sat down by the couch and hugged his knees. "I'm sorry." He said softly. "I've really... I've messed everything up. Alice! I ******** EVERY THING up." And not since Talen had been a little boy had he cried, but he did it now and it broke his sister's heart. Tears rolled steadily down his face. "It's my fault, Alice. It's all my fault."

Saul lingered by the living room doorway and remained quiet.

((WE GO OURSELVES AN ANGST PARTY. YEEEEAH BABY. But man. I mean, Talen is all about taking care of everyone, and geez. That just breaks him up.))
PostPosted: Sun Feb 01, 2009 8:02 pm

Lilith followed Talen inside and shut the door behind her. When they got into the living room, she remained with Saul by the doorway, leaning against the wall quietly. There wasn't anything for her to do. It felt uncomfortable watching everyone worry and feel pain and sadness while she could only watch and wonder absently.

As Alice came down, Lilith stepped aside and let the woman move over to Abel and Talen. Lilith looked away towards the window, again not wanting to watch these people, it wasn't her business and she had no right to witness another's pain.

It was only when Talen spoke and began to cry that Lilith looked to them, her face frowning again as she watched the tears roll down Talen's face. "In all honesty, I think if Abel were awake to hear this he'd say it wasn't your fault. And I also think you did what any sane person would have done. You couldn't have done anything to avoid the inevitable. Cain would have easily rid his hands of you to get to Abel. There's no doubt in my mind. So the only thing you should feel sorry for is not getting to me fast enough." She shrugged and then sat down on one of the chairs.

"Just saying..."

((Haha that's her way of trying to be nice. xD

And yes, they should all stop being emo and take some happy pills...go dance with the unicorns and slide on the rainbows!))

((hahaha, oh Lilith. You silly face.))

Talen looked at Lilith through his tears and cracked a smile, tears still rolling down his face. "Of course he would... but that doesn't make it true... it is... I should have been... I just STOOD THERE. Like... STOOD THERE." He wiped roughly at his face and was frustrated with himself. "This is my fault." He said again and no one would be able to convince him different.

Alice sat down by her brother and put an arm around his shoulders. She looked at Lilith and just shook her head. Talen closed his eyes and tilted his head back.

Saul lowered his eyes and then turned to walk away. Moments later there was an opening and closing of the front door as he left.

Alice slowly stood. "We should clean him up." She said, glancing at Abel and feeling her heart break again. "I'll go get some things..." She touched her brother's head gently and left to get the first aid kit.

((lOL OKAY.... angsty angsty angsty poo! ANGSTY. POO... eventually everyone will be happy merry sunshine again.))
PostPosted: Sun Feb 01, 2009 8:35 pm

Lilith shook her head and then glanced up when she heard the door shut. Slowly she stood up and walked towards the door. She didn't have the right to be here, but she also didn't want Saul just leaving without a word. The last time that happened she had almost felt anxiety...almost.

She walked outside and watched Saul's back. "Where are you going? You aren't going home are you?" She asked, taking a step towards him. "If you want a place to stay besides here...I have my own get away apartment. You know...when this kind of stuff happens between Cain and I. He doesn't know about it either." She began and looked away, rubbing her arm slightly.

"Tell me what I should do...or what I should say. Because I have no idea."

((I HAVEN'T POSTED THIS MUCH IN ONE DAY IN FOREVER.

I'M. SO. PROUD.))

Saul stopped in his tracks when he heard Lilith's voice. He turned slowly. "I just needed to get out." He said. "I wasn't going to leave." At her next words he seemed somewhat startled. She probably would never know how much those words would mean to him. He retraced his steps and made his way back to her and grasped at one of her hands. He felt a pull towards her, like he needed to be near her just then and he was sure he felt some sort of pity for her, but that wasn't what drew him back.

"I don't think there is anything to say him, Lilith. I think Abel will be able to set him right." Saul chewed at his lips. "But Lilith, when you said..." He looked away and back again. "When you said you didn't feel anything... when I..." He was looking away again. He rubbed at his face roughly. "You didn't feel anything?" He whispered.

((hahaha, oh saul. Just make out with her or something. It'll make you FEEL better.))
PostPosted: Sun Feb 01, 2009 9:09 pm

((And I am proud of you, as well.

But now after this I am going to bed!))

Lilith studied Saul when he turned around to look at her. She nodded a bit at his words and then blinked when he walked over to her grabbed one of her hands. She looked down at his hand and held it before glancing back up. She wasn't sure why she did any of the things she did when she was around him. It just seemed like instinct. Everything seemed to just come to her, no thoughts behind it, and every now and then she could just barely make out something, a simple tingling sensation or a slight warmth. They were only hints, but they were enough to make her feel normal.

"I don't know." She said quietly and lowered her eyes. "I do things because I think I have to. That's how I know to do certain things, because of studying others, not based on emotions like everyone else. But, there's something different when I do things based on your actions. Back then when you kissed me I probably didn't feel what you felt. I don't know how that's like...but something inside of me made me kiss you back. I think I felt just a bit. I actually felt something inside of me...despite how little it was. I think that's when I realized I wanted to change, I wanted to redeem myself for my past mistakes."

She put a hand over his own, fingers trailing along his pale skin. "No ones even come close to make me change or making me think about myself like you did. No one's gotten my cheeks or hands to turn up a degree. I've always been cold. And with you I don't feel quite so chilly." With a breath she looked at him. "If that's what feeling is...than maybe I'm starting to..."

((Hahaha, oh man. I was so excited last night because I thought I was going to be the last one to post. NOPE. You beat me again D:< And I was bragging to EVERYONE.

Everyone being... myself... OH WELL. I LOVE YOU ANYWAY. Also: D'aaaw... they're so fluffy.))

When Lilith said she didn't know Saul looked to his feet, the feeling of Lilith holding his hand keeping him on his feet. He absently squeezed it. In some ways her words must have hurt him, but as she went on the little things she said moved him. He finally managed to raise his eyes to watch her face. There was the makings of a smile underneath his crumpled expression and when she finished he kissed her suddenly and then pulled her into his arms.

"Just then, you said the right thing." He whispered.

((hahaha, YAAAAAAY. Okay. Time for SCHOOLIO.))
PostPosted: Mon Feb 02, 2009 7:44 am

((HAH. That's because I am so amazing. D:<

And yes...they are.))

Lilith remained quiet as Saul looked up. At that flicker of a smile she nodded but before she could say anything Saul kissed her. When she was pulled into his arms she closed her eyes. There was something about having someone care that made certain things okay. She knew she didn't have to be constantly alert and watching everything because someone would let her know what was going on. Instead she could just be normal...and that was all she wanted, normality.

"Well good..." She whispered back. "Because if you said I didn't, I'd have to punch you." It was an attempt at a joke, the one thing she always did that showed she had some sort of soul inside of her somewhere. If she could, she would have stayed where they were forever. In that place she actually felt somehow safe, it was that little pull at her heart like a mouse tugging at a piece of string, but it was still there.

"Maybe we should go back inside...you'll catch a cold."

((WHEEEE! *does a spinny dance*

And holy shiiit... The Office. THAT SHOW. IS AMAZING. I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK D:<<<< ... hahahah, I'm really hyper. Just so you know.))

Saul laughed gently at her joke. "If you ever punched me, I'm sure it would make a hole through me." And that was probably very true which made him laugh again. He held her tightly for a moment more until she spoke again. He drew away slowly and smiled. "I can't possibly be any worse off than I was before... but we won't tempt fate." He searched her face and then gripped one of her hands to lead her back inside.

Saul had to admit, being inside was nice. He didn't realize he had been cold until he stepped back through the front door. Making his way back to the living room Alice was cleaning up Abel. Talen was standing and had hidden all signs he had been crying before. He grinned at them as they came back into the room.

"Cute." He said in his joking voice and nodded at their clasped hands.

Saul made a face and released her hand. He seemed embarrassed, if only a little.

Talen would have laughed any other time, now he only smiled. "You guys hungry or anything?"

((LALALALA. DONE.))
PostPosted: Mon Feb 02, 2009 5:53 pm

Lilith shrugged slightly before following Saul back inside. She didn't mind the cold, but she knew Saul wasn't like her and was much more warm blooded. As they got back into the living room she raised a brow at Talen seemingly calm exterior. Not but a minute ago he had been angry, upset, and crying. She was sure he was just holding it in. It made her want to say something, but instead she kept quiet. Again, it was none of her business.

When Saul dropped her hand she ran it through her hair and looked the other way. "I had to make sure he got in safe." She said with a hint of sarcasm before shaking her had and sliding back into a seat. Her eyes studied Alice and Abel. The boy was definitely cleaner, but it only revealed just the true extent of the damage. She doubted it took much away from his charming face, but it still looked bad.

At Talen's offer she shook her head and closed her eyes. "No. I just want to sleep." She licked her lips and rest her head against the back of the chair. "Food can wait..." Her rough voice trailed off as she began to relax into her position.

((MRERERERERER. Ready go D:< ))

Saul gave an awkward laugh at her remark, but was grinning. He rubbed at the back of his head.

Talen grinned in a sideways fashion and then nodded as Lilith decided all she really needed was sleep. That sounded really nice about now.

"You ALL should sleep." Alice said, gently pushing the hair away from Abel's face and frowning. "It won't do anyone good to stay awake."

Talen took a seat on the floor.

"What are you doing?" His sister wanted to know, her smile not entirely amused.

"Making myself comfortable." He remarked and lay down on the floor.

Alice opened her mouth to argue, but knew it wouldn't be worth her time. "Hold on." She said. She vanished upstairs momentarily and later returned with blankets and pillows. "We'll camp out." She said and began laying spots down for both herself, Talen and Saul. She would have offered to Lilith, but she had a feeling she didn't care either way.

Talen didn't bother arguing with his sister and accepted with blanket and pillows she stuffed around him. He reached out briefly to grasp her hand and then rolled over to sleep. She then handed off the same to Saul who made his own place and settled down, staring lightly through the window he could see from where he was laying.

At last Alice made her own spot and fell asleep, looking troubled and worried.

((YAAAAY. okay.))
